Avis : Travelodge by Wyndham Barrie

Unfortunately stayed at a time when the hotel was packed with kids and the noise level was unbearable with partying and halls filled with kids screaming. Requested a room change at 10pm and was upgraded to a deluxe room which was anything but deluxe with wear to the fixtures - see photos. However, the noise level was almost as bad as the other room and we left the hotel at 11pm and drove home. Staff was unapologetic. Would not recommend this hotel.

Needed wheel chair accessable room for my father with Parkinson's and they gave me a room on the other side of the hotel that was not handicap accessable. Really did not enjoy having nothing for him to hold on to in the bathroom and not having enough room to move the wheel chair around at night to help him to the washroom and back to bed.

Third year in a row that I stayed here .. love the location , pool and breakfast

Great Location with highway and supermarkets, and easily accessible by public transit.

Located in downtown Barrie, there are many restaurants and an Asian supermarket nearby. It’s also very close to the lakeside and the GO Train station. I stayed here twice because it’s hard to find such a cost-effective, clean, and comfortable hotel in Toronto. Many hotels in the Toronto area don’t allow you to open the windows, but here you can enjoy fresh air. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.❤️

Pool was great. Clean room, bed was good.

Hotel just soso , but reasonable price

Nothing but issues from the minute we tried to open the door and the lock was locked from the inside and we had to get maintenance to let us in and fix it. The room had no toilet paper and we had to track down housekeeping. We didn’t have enough towels for the number of guests we had booked for and had to get more and we also got a room where the air wasn’t working and the windows don’t open. It was so hot and humid as the room was near the pool we felt sick trying to sleep. The room wasn’t the cleanest and had many poorly patched holes all over the walls. We definitely won’t return.

Overall nice place to stay. Everything was good. Value for the price

everything was good, location clean, staff however there was no toilet paper in my room nor kleenex..make sure..you do not nickle and dime your cleaning crew as to be so stingy they forget. imagine me coming down to the front desk to ask for toilet with a dirty touchhy

If you want to add a late check out it’s not allowed even though they have rooms available for the next day. If you want to book for another night because you have more business or because you’ve had a long week and want to rest; forget that idea too. You have to go to the front desk and tell them again that you are adding another day before 11 am. Then when my fellow traveller went to the desk to get their key - despite the fact that I went through this circus routine - he was treated like he was trying to run some kind of a scam. This treatment combined with the stench of stale of cigarettes amidst the numerous no smoking signs was a bit like a bad movie. Never again.

This hotel was definetly a little more run down than I thought it would be. Fast and easy check in. However special requests were not met. Room could have been cleaner ( there were ants on the floor ) . There was plenty of parking and close to restaurants , gas stations and highway.
