The Bull Inn

What a true delight , travelling from Norfolk down to Cambridgeshire we found this wonderful pub/restaurant & it certainly tucked all the boxes , thank you , we highly recommend the Watermelon & Vegan Feta & Quinoa salad & also the Plant Burger , great food & beverage choices in lovely surroundings, we will return

Staff very helpful but service quite slow. Had fish and chips which was ok but nothing special. Couldn’t believe they brought mushy peas out that contained garden peas not marrow fats! Horrible! Suggest the chef googles the recipe for mushy peas!

Three of us stopped in for a meal on the way back from a trade show. Nice place and the food was good, add in a couple of pints, super!. Pity the Adnams wasn't on tap at the time but hey ho. Service was pretty good too. The waitress made sure we were ok. Can't ask for more!

I stayed here one night and was really impressed. The hotel has recently been renovated and has a lovely rustic charm - it definitely feels quintessentially English. Lots of wooden beams, uneven floors and traditional features. The food was great. There’s a separate bar and a lovely restaurant as well as a really well designed outside seating area. From arrival, the staff were fantastic. Kat, Dale and Kirsty were so attentive and positive. The room is warm and comfortable. Hot shower with decent water pressure.

My partner and I just returned from 3 nights, first shower we had water wasn’t going down the plug hole. So not a good start. They sent someone to fix/look at it. Not what you want after driving for three hours. Obviously there was a previous problem as screws weren’t completely put back on base. Comment made by a staff member ‘ not surprised it wasn’t fixed before’. Came back at 3 pm after first night, room hadn’t been cleaned, bed not made, bin not emptied and coffee/tea’s/milk etc not replaced. We found the cleaner who said she came in late and didn’t have time 🤷‍♂️. She gave us tea milk etc. I don’t know what happened the next day as same thing, room not serviced, same as above. Went to reception and asked for milk etc and asked why room hadn’t been serviced. No answer was given or apology. Once you get into your room the last thing you want to do is go back out to reception. TV reception kept on freezing. A lot of black mold in grout in shower, needs a good clean. Not a good look. Staff didn’t seem to be interested. Not a good experience, won’t be back. At least with a Travel Lodge and Premier inn you know what you are getting.

First meal in the UK this trip. The Chicken Supreme gnocchi was the best meal I’ve ever had. Delicious light pesto sauce with tender chicken. We enjoyed the sourdough bread as well as the soup of the day. Incredibly fresh, well seasoned food. The staff went out of the way to make our visit exceptional. Thank you Harry, Kat, James and Tia. We’ll be back!

Stopped by for a late lunch and couldn’t be happier with our choice! The house-made Beef and Guinness pie with mash and veggies was delicious. Judging from my husband’s empty plate - the Thick-Cut Honey & Mustard Roast Ham was also a good choice. We indulged in a sticky toffee pudding and a cheesecake- both were great. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was warm and cozy. Tons of outdoor seating to enjoy when the weather is nice.

Room was not what I thought I had booked very cold radiator not working and mould in the bathroom ...main items on the menu not available so had to have a burger it was average drinks was bottle only couldn't get a pint of Guinness sad times other than it was a bed for the night will not be returning

The service that we have just received from the Bull was absolutely shocking. I booked a table for the resultant, we walked in and walked through to the restaurant and no one said anything. As we was walking through the restaurant looking for someone, Liam the manager saw us and asked us what we was doing instead of the customer service ‘can I help you?’ He then said it’s bar food and took us through to the pub for our meal. He sat us down and didn’t inform us of anything, such as you need to order your food at the bar etc as we did sit at our table for around 20 minutes waiting for service. We had so many fruit flies flying around our table, I know that can’t be helped but for a 5 star AA restaurant you’d expect better than that. We ordered at the bar, we specifically asked for chips. Our meals came out and everyone had wedges. We explained we ordered chips, I don’t care what anyone says, wedges and chips are completely different. When the food came out we explained we ordered fries and not wedges. The manager Liam said he can change them for us but it would be to our cost. We said we asked for chips not wedges and he was so rude about it we was all shocked. We also asked for sauces which never turned up. The manager at this restaurant really needs to work on his customer service skills. My mums birthday meal has been completely ruined due to his mannerism. I’d also like to add, when we looked at the menu online there was plenty to chose from. Because it was a special occasion we wanted a restaurant, not a service where you order at a bar and not told this until we had waited 20 minutes to be served!
