Favorite hotel

This was our first time staying in a deluxe resort at Disneyworld. We have stayed at the Art of Animation and Port Orleans several times previously. The Yacht Club's location is fantastic. You have a short walk to Epcot which is amazing or you can hop on a boat right out back of the resort that will take to Epcot. You can also easily walk to all of the restaurants at Beach Club & Boardwalk resorts. Ale & Compass had a great breakfast (pastry buffet/goodies) that you help yourself to while you wait for your ordered breakfast to arrive. The Ale & Compass Market had easy ordering and pick up. All basic menu items but tasty and quick. The rooms were nice but weren't luxurious. We didn't have any issues with service. Everyone was helpful & pleasant. The location is key here and we would absolutely stay here again!

My family and I recently stayed at this hotel, and overall, we had a good experience. The hotel was clean and well-maintained, and we felt comfortable and safe during our stay. However, I must admit that our room was showing its age and could use some updates and attention. Despite this, we were able to still enjoy our time at the hotel as a family. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and we would consider returning.

Love this resort. Super clean, excellent service, everyone is so nice. Pool was wonderful, lots of places to eat. Would have liked more vegetarian options. Shuttle to the parks and boat to Disney Hollywood was great. Would love to stay there again.

Our first stay at Yacht Club was a success! We upgraded last minute from the Caribbean because I found a rate that I was comfortable with. I think the prices that Disney gets for these hotels is ridiculous, so I tend to avoid Deluxe. It's the location here that is the big winner. You can walk to Epcot in minutes, and Hollywood Studios in about 15-20 minutes. You also have the option of the boats or the skyliner to Hollywood Studios. We arrived about 9am and were sent a text that our room was ready at 10am. We were already in the parks, so we didn't get back to the resort until evening. We had requested a King and that is exactly what we got, room 3215. Our view from the balcony wasn't so great as it overlooked the rooftop of Steakhouse 71 (I believe) and just a bit of the pool area in the distance. It wasn't a problem, we aren't in the room much, and we aren't on the balcony much as it was cooler this trip. Bed was comfortable. We had housekeeping every day, which we are no longer used to. We had enough towels on the first day to use a clean one each day of our four night stay, but they were refreshed every day. We got some fun towel art which is always a treat to see. There is still the H2O shampoo, conditioner and body wash tubes in the shower. There is also bar soap, mouthwash, shower cap (?) on the vanity. I did notice a LOT of hair on the shower wall the first morning. It kind of freaked me out because it was long, black and at first thought it was spiders out of the corner of my eye. When I pointed it out to my husband, he took the shower wand and washed it away. Problem solved. Didn't have to complain to the front desk, demand to be reimbursed or change rooms. Super friendly staff down in the lobby. Always someone smiling and greeting us as we walked thru. We thought the gift shop was small. Good selection of restaurants between the Yacht and the Beach Club, but we didn't actually dine at any of them this trip. Overall my favorite of the three Boardwalk area resorts. We will keep an eye out for another good deal in the future, but for now our favorite is still Pop Century.

Huge disappoin**ent. When we checked in and went to our room, we were shocked to see that it was not clean. It appeared that the beds and towels had been changed and trash emptied, but that was it. There was detritus all over the floor (crumbs, sand, dirt, and LOTS of dust bunnies). There was some white substance on the cabinet doors. The counters had also not been cleaned. The amount and size of the dust bunnies (especially under the beds) made us wonder when the room had last been fully swept. We went to the front desk and a very nice staffer apologized, offered us a $100 refund and said that housekeeping would call us in the room. We went back to the room and waited. After some time, a housekeeping manager called and was immediately antagonistic, insisting that her records showed that the room had been cleaned at 4:09pm, so therefore it WAS clean. We said that it was not cleaned at 4:09pm because we were in the room at that time awaiting this phone call. She repeated the room was clean and essentially accused us of lying. We then asked her to come to the room to see for herself. She refused. We again said the room needed to be cleaned. She snapped that they would get to it when they could, but that we had to leave the room. So we were basically kicked out of our room. We returned at 7pm and the room was still dirty. We went back to the front desk and asked for a manager. She apologized and said she would make sure the room would be cleaned but could not tell us a time. We pointed out that we had a toddler with us whose bedtime was 8pm as we booked this hotel for its access to Epcot for early entry, so she needed to get to sleep. Manager said it would be done by 8pm. At 8pm, the room was finally clean -- at least 5 hours after checking in. We discovered the next day, that we had also not been given the full array of toiletries, so the housekeeping failure on the first day was not just a matter of failure to clean surfaces. Also note that the room did not include a tub, just a walk in shower. Although this is a deluxe resort, you only get a refrigerator if you are in a suite. The beverage cooler in room means you have to get ice for the refrigerator to keep dairy products cold -- hardly a deluxe attribute. The food court and gift shop are tiny. If you just want a pastry or a drink, you will be fine. The shared pool with the Beach Club is quite desirable. The positives : close and walkable proximity to Epcot. Larger room. I want to note that my daughter is a former Cast Member and I am a retired event planner. As such, we treat hospitality staff with respect and politeness. We have been visiting Disney for over 20 years and have never had any problems. We were shocked that the first time we did, 1. It was at a deluxe resort. 2. By the the antagonistic attitude of the housekeeping manager, and 3. The ridiculous amount of time it took to get the very basic attribute of a hotel room -- cleanliness. I booked this hotel after staying at Beach Club last year for a few reasons. 1. The savings was significantly more with the promotion Disney was running ( the room was still priced higher, but the discount on the room was greater).2. Looking at photos the rooms seemed more updated than Beach Club. And lastly this is such an easy option in terms of location, and on site amenities. The stay was great. I have no real complaints however there’s room for improvement in a few areas. ( this is being picky) The toilet paper needs an upgrade. I feel like for a Deluxe Resort, Disney should offer upgraded toiletries & toilet paper. What is supplied is so rough & thin— it just breaks. I feel like 1-2 bottles of water per day should be in the room ( for coffee). The onsite store closes at 11pm so if you miss getting it the morning can be rough. The linens need to be heavier. ( I understand you can request more) however it’s a paper thin blanket & sheet on the bed with an extra thin one in the closet. Duvet would be very welcomed. The smell of the linens was off. Not sure if it was just our set or what they use to launder but it had a faint odor that wasn’t pleasant. What we loved: Location is the best on property as far as I’m concerned. The staff stood out here. They went out of their way to make everything great. Store well appointed if you forgot anything or need basics for kids. Activities for kids were great. My daughter asked to leave the parks daily to go participate in hotel activities. The only other tip I can offer is request a room close to the elevators. Our room was the last room in the long loop of a hallway and at the end of a long day it’s not an easy trek back holding a tired kid or pushing the stroller on the thick hall carpet. The only pro to the room location is that it’s super quiet no hallway noise.

We stayed at this hotel May 4, 5, & 6, 2024 after getting off a Disney Cruise. I am writing this because I believe that all potential guests need to be aware that the hotel considered our room - 4240 - to be a "resort view" room. Our view when sitting on the balcony was of the resort staff taking their breaks, the staff coming and going from work, and the delivery trucks beeping their way into position to be unloaded. These are the views that most hotels prefer to hide from their guest! In addition we were one floor up from huge air conditioner units which "roared" all day and night. Of course we went to speak to the hotel staff and were told that there was no other room available on our day of arrival, which was odd because we arrived early after disembarking from the cruise at 8am. They were willing to move us the next day when a room came available but we would need to be packed up and ready before we went out to enjoy day 2 of 3 days of the resort. Did they discount our room? No, we paid the full price for a view of the hotel staff and hotel deliveries. This should not be a room offered to anyone and to be perfectly clear I would suggest that you not accept room 4238, 4236 and probably 4234 either - they will all have the special "resort view"! My rating is based fully on the room view.

Couldn't have asked for a better hotel experience. Stayed Club Level. We checked in at the Security entrance. By the time we pulled ahead several hundred feet our Concierge was waiting curbside for us as we pulled up to the front door. His staff unloaded our vehicle as he spoke to us and walked us up to the Concierge desk. After offering us beverages he began to link up our Magic Bands, explained how to use the Fast Pass and made our first ride reservation for Soarin. Went over any questions we had, told us to grab some snacks and get over to Epcot and they took all our luggage to our room. Room was spotless with origami animals made out of the towels. Food at each session was enjoyable and fresh. When we would get in for the night, we were always offered cocktails to take to the room. The kids would go back out and were offered cocktails to take on their walks. They even put their drinks in disposable glasses, so they didn't have to pay for drinks at the pool. The pool is the best of any Disney property. We had a few late-night trips to the "quiet pool," which didn't have a strict closing time. Each time passing the desk we were greeted by name and asked if there was anything they could assist us with, directions, reservations, ideas for the day/night. The Yacht Club is more reserved and quieter than the Beach Club. Yacht is for the older crowd. Ale and Compass has the main restaurant and the bar area off to the side has a separate menu which we enjoyed when not wanting a sit-down dinner. There are several quick stop places to get for on the go also. Location can't be beat as it is a 5-minute walk to Epcot. The "friendship boat" is a short boat ride to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios. This is our family's favorite resort and the Club Level completely put it over the top. Well worth the expense for it. Book your trip to the Yacht Club, you will not regret it.
