Zanhotel Tre Vecchi

Ottimaubicazione tra stazione centrale e centro città raggiungibili in 3 minuti a piedi. Servizio e cortesia molto buoni. Pulizia buona. Soggiorno gradevole.

ok hotel in a good area. front desk personnel….. some good some not so much. room ok with terrible view. empty tissue holder, toilet didn’t always flush well. good breakfast buffet but “bacon” under cooked and greasy. wonderful fresh honeycomb. an unexpected treat. usual meats fruit cheese etc. would not return.

Stayed in this hotel for two nights and I am not sure there is a whole lot of positive to say about it - maybe the fact that the rooms were cleaner than anticipated when seeing the entrance area. Staff were welcoming on check in, but the hotel is very grubby - yellow doors, carpet that looks like it could and wanted to walk itself to the cleaners! It really is very dirty looking and in desperate need of a refurbishment. The room itself was nicer - though still stains on the floors…they have a mini bar but charge you for water which I thought a bit much for a four star hotel that it claims to be..bathroom was lovely and shower was really good. We visited in April and hit a particularly warm time - but the room didn’t seem to have any air con and our room was positioned out over the Main Street which was noisy the entire night through so not a good nights sleep at all. The breakfast wasn’t great either - toaster didn’t really work, limited selection of cereals and hot food. It is a very central location and a direct walking route from the train station making to and from the airport very easy. However convenient it is, unfortunately I witnessed a group of men attack someone on the street with a baseball bat right outside the hotel. Whilst clearly nothing the hotel can do about it I think the incident and others we saw walking back to the hotel left me with the impression it isn’t located in a particularly safe area and unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend that area to stay in. Have to say the staff were all very friendly and accommodating and I’m sure have a tough job with this hotel.

Last time I was here was 9 years ago and rest assured nothing has changed , it needs a big touch of TLC . These few days were a nightmare, noisy like hell . Buskers across the street going at it all day with music blurring, one leaves another come like they rent the spot across the hotel . One cannot have a simple rest at any time , street is also noisy at night . The supposed to be double glazing windows are hopeless as simply one can even hear a fart from outside. Everyone knows this hotel is positioned very close to shops and restaurants, the staff do their best to help in every which way they can . Shame that they have to face the complains . But one has to consider it has nothing to do with them , they strive to help you out . Breakfast is more than great , but the rooms needs doing up , our bathroom dates back to the 60’s . Cracked tiles and when someone dares to sit on the toilet he is greeted with the most largest hand wash basin I have ever encountered in my life . It sits a few inches away from your face when you sit down to do your bit , you can easily rest your head and sleep on it , it’s so close. Once again I thank the staff for their hard work and thank them for doing their best . But sorry this will be my second time and my last .

An impressive looking hotel in a great area for restaurants and close to the train station. The staff are very friendly, especially Thomas. We had problems with the air-con/heating and our bedroom was quite cool at times. There were areas in our bathroom that were in need of repair/updating. Breakfast was mainly cakes and sweet pastries, with a nod to an English breakfast of scrambled egg and bacon. Coffee was delicious if you ordered from the counter rather than use the machine. We probably wouldn’t stay here again despite the lovely staff.
