The Ship Inn Farmhouse is a charming Grade II listed thatched cottage with parking and only a 400 yard walk to the sandy beach at Crantock. Part of the property dates back to the 16th century.This beautifully presented chocolate box cottage lies in the heart of Crantock in a road that leads down to the beach, a minute’s walk from the pub, local shop, and a café. It is furnished in nautical style.The property boasts a wealth of character including open beamed ceilings, inglenook feature fireplace, original cob walls, and a stable back door. It has recently been fully refurbished with new central heating, a new kitchen, bathroom and 2 new en-suite shower rooms. Many features of the old cottage have been retained giving the inside of the cottage a modern feel but with much character. The property benefits from an enclosed back garden, with a lawn and terrace for outside dining.On the ground floor there is a charming lounge with a huge inglenook fireplace. The lounge has two navy sofas, an arm chair, Persian rug, TV with DVD, and music system. Adjacent to the lounge is a spacious dining room, with a large dining table with seating for 6 and TV. The cottage-style kitchen incorporates an island, butler sink, washer/dryer, dishwasher, American style fridge/ freezer, microwave, oven, hob and is fully equipped. The stable door leads to the terrace and back garden. There is also a ground floor twin bedroom decorated in nautical style.Original stairs lead to the first floor landing with access to three bedrooms and a bathroom. The large king size bedroom has a wardrobe, chests of drawers,TV and en-suite shower room with basin and WC. The twin bedroom has a bonnet ceiling, with twin beds, a small chest of drawers and en-suite shower room with basin and WC. The double bedroom has a chest of drawers, dressing table, TV and fitted wardrobe.There is also a modern bathroom, with basin, WC, panelled bath with shower over. To the side of the garden, there is a parking space for one car.PLEASE NOTE:Short breaks of 2, 3 or 4 nights are calculated on a percentage basis (not a nightly rate) and are normally, only accepted from November - end of February, unless we still have availability closer to the commencement date.A two-night break may be booked through this website.
