Abba Suites, c'est génial ! Excellent emplacement en plein centre-ville. En plein cœur de l'action, sur la 10ème et la 10ème... Nous avons séjourné ici 10 nuits au total pendant nos vacances d'un mois en famille à la plage. Les chambres étaient super... très belles et modernes... cuisine complète sans four, ce qui n'est pas vraiment nécessaire lors d'un voyage au Mexique... chambre séparée du salon, ce qui était agréable pour papa et maman 😄🙌. La meilleure vue depuis la piscine sur le toit... où nous pouvions admirer le lever et le coucher du soleil ! Les vraies stars ont été Denise et Nevida ! Elles sont tout simplement géniales et ont rendu ce séjour encore plus spécial pour nous. Chaque fois que nous entrions dans le bâtiment, elles étaient si accueillantes et serviables pour toutes nos questions ou suggestions. Honnêtement, nous aurions pu facilement discuter et passer du temps avec elles. Nevida s'est avéré être très doué pour résoudre le Rubik's Cube et notre fils de 7 ans l'a tout de suite apprécié. Même s'il était très occupé, il a pris le temps de donner à notre fils des conseils très utiles et l'a encouragé à continuer à pratiquer le Rubik's Cube. Continuez comme ça, vous êtes géniaux ! À la prochaine fois que nous serons à Playa 😄👍

Pros: very clean, staff are helpful and polite. The beach is beautiful white sand with turquoise water and palm trees for shade.  There are a lot of chairs around the pools and on the beach. The room was comfy, good beds and pillows. Great shower and bathtub.   The property is well kept. The are many activities, games and events organized.  CONS:  The food is average, generic and limited for vegetarians.  The restaurant menues are not a la carte. It’s a fixed menu.  The cocktail are way too sweet , except for David, it was impossible to get a good drink. The wine is dry but no choice not even to purchased. If you like an American diet with everything sweet and you want to hand by the pool and bar, you will be happy. If you want to rest on the beach, without having vendors bug you every 5 minutes plus  having to breathe cigarette smokes which is allowed all over the beach.   If you like decent food and enjoy a good cocktail and wine.  This place is not for you.

My suggestion: Not ideal for couples. Best for girls trips/boys trips where you plan to party all night and stay in all day. Not the most relaxing place to stay. Budget friendly, but you get what you pay for.

The hotel location was really great. It's just one street away from a very lively and loud street, so the hotel is in a calm location during the day. However, at night, during the weekends it still gets noisy until 2 am. It's only a five minute walk to the beach which was full of sargassum the time we were there. The room was a good size in the bed was very comfortable. We also used the gym which was fairly equipped and the pool look good, although very narrow. Our stay included breakfast, which was à la carte where you choose one main dish/person and 3 drinks (which only included black coffee, juice and tea). Not really worth it for a short stay in my opinion. First day we had an issue with the breakfast order and the restaurant staff handled it poorly, but it was ultimately resolved with the reception staff, Alma, stepping in. I have to thank Alma for being so understanding and kind to us, every day during our day. We also had an issue of missing some cash, and I think the manager handled it really well; the investigation, giving us the update, all of it.

Great Stay at Riu Playacar We enjoyed our stay at this clean, well-organized resort with spacious, quiet rooms (ours had no balcony, but it was fine). The minibar was a nice touch, and the bathroom was spotless. Highlights: ✔ Food variety – Multiple à-la-carte restaurants (dinner reservations not needed) and buffets with good lunch/breakfast options. ✔beach – Plenty of sunbeds but no umberalla so bring your sunscreen, though pools get crowded les sunbeds. ✔ Access to sister hotels – Party lovers can visit Riu Tequila’s club nearby. ✔ Convenient location – Mini-market across the street, and Playa del Carmen (5th Ave) is just a 150-peso taxi ride away. ✔ Easy airport transfer – ADO bus (250 pesos/person, 45-min ride + 5-min taxi 150 pesos next to ado turism station). Minor drawbacks: ✖ No elevators – Tough for guests with mobility issues. ✖ Entertainment hiccups – The host sometimes forgot to switch back to English after Spanish announcements. Perfect for: Travelers who want good value, variety, and proximity to Playa’s nightlife.

The customer service was truly amazing — we were even upgraded to a beautiful suite with an oceanfront view, which made a huge difference. However, a few things to note: there are very pushy salespeople around the property who are constantly trying to upsell timeshares and spa packages. It’s understandable, but it did get a little tiring at times. The hotel is directly on the beach, but the beachfront isn’t ideal for swimming since it’s very rocky and shallow. You need to walk about five minutes down to find a spot where you can comfortably swim. The overall vibe of the hotel is a bit outdated and cheesy — definitely a mixed crowd of younger people looking to party and older guests, giving it a bit of a “cruise ship” atmosphere. My husband and I had never done an all-inclusive before, and although we got an amazing deal, it’s probably not something we would repeat at this property. As for dining: • The buffet was solid — lots of choices, decent quality — I’d rate it a 7/10. • The two à la carte restaurants (that required reservations) were subpar, so we honestly preferred the buffet experience. • The sushi swim-up bar was a bit of a letdown; the sushi wasn’t great (but understandable given the location). Our only real disappointment was the hot tub — it was very tiny, difficult to find, far away from everything, and when we finally reached it on our last night, it was lukewarm and not fully functioning. Final thoughts: If you’re looking for a budget-friendly all-inclusive with great staff, decent food, and a nice view — this is a good choice. Just know it’s not super luxurious, and swimming directly in front of the hotel isn’t ideal. It’s located right in the heart of Playa where there are lots of partying going on, if you want that sort of scene. We’re glad we tried it, but we’ll probably explore other options and quieter locations next time.

Firstly El Beso is simply 1 building within the larger Ocean Rivera resort. Meaning only your building is Adults Only. Our Swim up room was lovely. We tried almost all if not all of the 10 restaurants and we had no complaints the food was good. Maybe not always amazing but never terrible. There’s like 3/4 different brands or levels of service within the larger resort. El Beso seems to be 1 level from the top which is Privilege we switched for an extra night & the mini bar for privilege was much better as well as having the butler service and priority restaurant bookings when they were all booked. There’s also a special restaurant only for privilege that was great but none of the restaurants were extremely crowded. There’s an app or webpage that works like an app with all of the resort info and you can book reservations there. There’s also lots of entertainment nightly. It’s definitely a place to go and stay there’s no need to venture outside of the resort there’s so many things to do schedules are packed for all of the different areas & a bowling alley and theater. There is not much near by the tourist area is maybe 20 mins away by car down the beach.

Tout le personnel était sympathique et gentil. C'était mieux car il n'y avait que des étrangers et pas de Coréens. Personnellement, c'était une aubaine que je n'aie pas fait Arte ! Au contraire, j'ai rencontré beaucoup de Coréens pendant la tournée hahaha.
