Location is unbeatable: just a 3‑minute walk to Plaza de Armas, perfect for exploring the city on foot.
Rooms are comfortable and clean, with a cosy bed and a heater available at all times. No TV in my room but honestly, with everything nearby, you won’t miss it 😄
Extremely helpful staff, genuinely some of the most supportive I’ve ever encountered. They were incredibly accommodating and even helped me multiple times late at night when Rappi wasn’t working and I needed to order food.
If you have early tours (4:00, 5:00, 6:00 AM), just let them know in advance — they’ll happily prepare your breakfast earlier for you, which I really appreciated.
They also decorated our room exactly as requested, which made our stay even more special.

IInvitéBelmond Monastère: Le meilleur hôtel à Cusco, en dehors de toute comparaison
Il est très bon d'avoir une bonne qualité de service pour les clients.
La beauté de cet hôtel est hors des mots. Les murs historiques classiques font des histoires du passé, tandis que la chapelle dorée éclatante ajoute un sens remarquable de grandeur.
Le personnel est chaud, professionnel et vraiment soignant. Un exemple de premier plan : quand j'ai perdu ma carte de crédit, ils l'ont trouvée et la ont rapidement retournée. Par rapport au Los Cabos Waldorf (qui je cite en raison de son prix de premier plan), le service de cet hôtel est sur un autre niveau infiniment plus personnel, plus pensé et plus intime.
J'aimerais reconnaître spécialement mon butler, mais malheureusement, j'ai oublié son nom.
En bref, je ne peux pas recommander cet hôtel assez.

HHamza0896Cute hotel which is very well located in Cusco in between San Pedro Market and the historic centre. The father and son who run the place are extremely welcoming and the room is very clean. Breakfast is simple but nice and the staff are very attentive. They were very kind to pack us a breakfast bag when we were leaving early in the morning for our sacred valley tour.
The room we stayed in was quite small but I think other rooms might be bigger since it's a converted house. It would be nice if there was a couple of small bottles of water in the room when you arrive rather than having to pay for it, especially given the altitude.

SS_KKLes chambres sont propres et confortables avec un chauffage de stockage et une douche chaude. Mais quand nous sommes arrivés, il était un peu bizarre pour nous quand le récepteur a dit que nous n'avions pas une réservation là même si nous avions et j'avais reçu la confirmation pour lui montrer. Il n'a pas répondu avant que je n'appelle Trip.com service en ligne, puis il a continué à regarder et a dit qu'il l'a trouvé, donc peut-être être conscient de ce qui se passe quand vous arrivez. Il était aussi un peu étrange qu'après avoir vérifié nos bagages, nous avons montré à nos chambres qui étaient à quelques pas et à deux étages et deux ascenseurs, qu'ils n'ont pas aidé avec rien des sacs. Nous n'avons remarqué que cela parce que nous avons beaucoup mieux servi dans d'autres hôtels à Cusco.

IInvitéI stayed at this hotel twice; in between I went to Macchu Pichu and left the baggage at the hotel.
Location wise - it’s very central with a PeruRail office next door albeit the other ones are not too far.
Reception is 24hr and there is a nice courtyard with a restaurant as well as a common area with a kitchen at the back.
I stayed in the Teepee tent on both occasions; first time the rate was more affordable at around gbp40/night. In July, the night gets cold. But the tent does have additional blankets and a heater. This worked except on the last night as it seems it stopped in middle of the night. Without the heater, the room was quite cold. The common bathroom is at the back; the showers are ok and you get enough privacy. I noticed the hot water does take a while to come through. I left the baggage in the storage - no issues. Overall good but for same price bracket I would try somewhere else.

IInvitéHad two separate bookings with the hotel as I was going to Machu Picchu and staying overnight there. During my first day at this hotel in my first reservation, I was asked to pay for this second booking together. No receipt given but was assured that there will not be any misunderstanding. Was told to pack and leave my things at the reception and check out and re-check in. So not sure why I needed to pay for the second reservation upfront in my first booking (Maybe afraid that I would cancel it as I was really tempted to). As mentioned in my previous post, the amenities are severly lacking, cause of low water supply, the pipes and toilet filling up is very loud and the water flow from the tap is like the picture at night and it was trickling and dripping one of the early mornings when I had a tour. In short, i will not stay here again.

KK TravelsLet me start with the positives, stylish design, exactly like the pics advertised, from entering the hotel to the resting area to the balcony to the room, all very nice.
But you need to be ready for the stairs if you not getting here by car, going out and coming back from the square, especially if you have luggage or backpack, everyone arriving here were out of breath.
The bathroom has odor coming up from the pipe, which is normal for house this old, if you are okay with it.
I was in room 201, sound proof does not exist, can hear car passing, dog barking, guests coming back from partying at night, tourists cheering & leaving hotel for trips at 3:30am, didn’t get much sleep.
Most disappointing thing was hot water, I arrived in the afternoon climbing up the stairs, was hoping to have a quick shower before heading out for dinner, stood in the bathroom waited 5mins for hot water, was told be staff hot water was out they are trying to fix, came back after drinks, still no hot water, was very late so didn’t call staff, tried to have a shower before check out at 7am, hot water was still not available after another good 5mins standing in the shower… sigh

Gg_soo23Je pense que c'était décent pour la valeur pour l'argent, mais le service n'était pas bon car il y a une grande barrière linguistique. Je ne le recommande pas si vous ne parlez pas espagnol. Même avec un traducteur, beaucoup de malentendu et personne n'a quitté leur chemin pour aider.

Первое - здесь нет отопления, ни одной батареи. На третий день пребывания я заболела из-за холода. Почитав отзывы, я поняла что можно попросить обогреватель, что я и сделала.
Второе - слышимость действительно сильная. Огромные щели в дверях номера. Слышно абсолютно всё - как люди приходят и уходят, смотрят телевизор , разговаривают и тд. Я часто просыпалась среди ночи, когда люди уезжали на экскурсии и хлопали дверью .
Третье - очень скудный завтрак! Буквально две булки на человека, немного масла, сыр и колбаса, джем и на маленьком блюдце подают скрембл , по напиткам чай, кофе и это весь завтрак .
Также у меня возникла проблема с завтраками для экскурсий. Я просила приготовить их для меня , но никто этого не сделал. У меня было две экскурсии и получается за два завтрака я просто выбросила деньги на ветер.
Четвертое - за 5 дней моего пребывания НИ РАЗУ не было уборки в номере, хотя я читала , что уборка ежедневная. На 4 день я спросила почему в моем номере не убирают и мне сказали, что я должна была отдать ключ от номера и тогда они бы убрались. Но мне конечно же о таких условиях никто не сказал :)
Ну и последнее , женщина , которая готовит завтраки , как мне показалось, не взлюбила меня из-за того что я не говорю по испански. При этом я видела что она была милой с другими гостями.
Я бы не советовала этот отель!

GGomezHotel Santa Maria was the best hotel during my stay in Peru, which included not only Cusco, but also Lima and Aguas Calientes. The bed was comfortable, the Wifi worked well and reliably, and the serice was excellent in several ways. For example, when I requested an airport pickup at 10 pm after flying 28 straight hours, a friendly driver picked me up. Ruby was particularly helpful and very friendly and wanted the best for me as a tourist in her country. She asked follow-up questions about my experience at Machu Picchu after getting back from Machu Picchu Pueblo. It waa great Spanish practice! The men front staff were also gentlemenly willing to help. In addition to the very hospitable demeanor, the tour service also saved my trip. I booked a separate city tour with a different company on Trip.com, but that tour never happened. However, the tour services of Santa Maria gave me exactly what I wanted from their own tour booking service managed by Edith. So, rest assured that service, too, is reliable. Be wary of online city tours done online in Cusco. No need to worry at this hotel, though. I used it also for the Rainbow Mountain excursion. With Hotel Santa Maria, I wouldn't have truly experienced Cusco, Peru! Mil gracias for helping me realize my dream trip to its fullest extent!
