The hotel is really beautiful but it looks like the service quality and conservation dropped after it ended their partnership with Four Seasons and later with Hyatt. Employees were very polite, with good manner, but not in a sufficient number. Many details of bad conservation can be found. Nevertheless, the sunset is unbelievably beautiful. It’s a must!

Lovely hotel with a fabulous pool….we decided to stay an extra night because we loved the area. The guys played golf and we cycled to a couple wineries. We also ate at Narbona which was relatively good except for my one dish. The hotel has a good gym and River frontage

I am finding it difficult to fairly rate this hotel as I suppose the quality of the stay will highly correlate with how busy it is and what sort of holiday you are looking for. I was there with my adult daughter and when we arrived, the hotel was fairly empty and had a sleepy quality to it. By that I mean that staff was decidedly uninterested in us. We arrived after a longer drive and pulled up to reception, expecting to be greeted and to be shown a parking spot etc. We waited around for a bit and then left the car and went into the reception, where no one even looked up to greet us. We then proceeded to check in - not that easy as no one spoke a word of English. So of course, we are traveling in a Spanish speaking country and we should be more fluent in Spanish, but that being said, this is an international hotel chain (Hyatt) and a little knowledge of English can be expected. We were then not brought to our Apar**ent (which was quite a bit away and one can`t drive there) but shown the direction where it would be. When we asked what to do about the luggage, they asked us to unload the car ourselves and then someone would take care of it. It all seemed a bit like there were no processes in place. The room was very nice, if a bit dated. This used to be a Four Seasons property and one can see what it would have been like in those days. There was absolutely no information material in the room regarding activities - people generally go to this area to go for wine tastings, horseback, fishing etc etc - all of which the hotel claims to offer. So we went back to reception to ask about information and they said they had none in print but we could also not inquire with them right then and there (due to the language barrier I assume) and we were asked to go back to the room and send our questions via whatsapp. We then received conflicting information whether horseback was in groups or individual and were offered no general information but just replies to what we specifically asked. It turns out all activities are carried out outside of the hotel via local providers. In the end, we decided to get our own information from the internet and book activities ourselves, which worked out fine. After two days more guests arrived and the a**osphere and things suddenly improved, there was service at the pool and the level of service generally picked up. Therefore, to be fair, I think this can be a very nice place if you go as a family with kids (which most guests that had by then arrived seemed to have been) and you don`t go outside of high season. I would not recommend the hotel for couples. You also need to realize that, while this is a resort-style hotel, a lot of the activities are not offered on the property but are outsourced locally.

Just gorgeous five star resort and the perfect weekend trip from BA! We found the property to be just beautiful and peaceful and loved the spa and indoor pool with jacuzzi. Super zen and tranquil plus they have bikes that allow one to discover the surrounding forest. The staff couldn’t have been more attentive and quick to respond to our questions. The bungalows are modern and quite large with a view of the river. Just stunning! Highly recommended if you need some spa and relaxing time!!!

El hotel es espectacular, muy lindo lugar. Se nota que fue un four seasons y ya no es mas… la atención no es la que uno espera de un hotel 5 estrellas. A los que van con hijos, no hay un kids club, hay una persona que en cierto horario y no todos los dias, organiza actividades para los chicos.

Sehr schöne Resort und Spa Anlage mitten im Wald. Grosszügige Bungalows, doppelstöckig und mit Sitzplatz. Grosse Pool-Anlage. Es werden diverse Spor**öglichkeiten angeboten. Das Restaurant bietet eine ausgewogene Speise- und Weinkarte. Schöne Bar mit Blick auf die Pool-Anlage. Die Bungalows sind stilvoll eingerichtet mit grossem Badezimmer und zweites WC im unteren Stock. Das Resort Bietes rund um alle Annehmlichkeiten an. Haben uns gut erholt in dieser Zeit. Das Personal könnte etwas freundlicher sein. Kann das Resort trotzdem empfehlen.

Experiência muito boa no hotel Carmelo Resort com a familia, gostamos muito! Pontos fortes - A fazenda é linda, uma paisagem única - Quarto aconchegante e completo - Gestão do hotel muito profissional, staff cordial e eficiente - Serviço de quarto eficiente e discreto - Café da manhã muito bom - Passeio a cavalo foi bem interessante (Maria que nos guiou no tour foi muito atenciosa) Pontos de atenção - Levar repelente para os passeios outdoor - Existem poucas alternativas para comer fora do hotel. Testamos o restaurante Pueblo Tannat e Narbona que eram excelentes. Mas nem todos abrem inicio de semana No geral foi 10 e esperamos voltar alguma hora!

Hotel é lindo. Ao chegar , impressiona. Instalações são confortáveis, amplas , maravilhoso. Piscina grande, bem cuidada. Mas não voltaria pela experiência que tivemos de achar algumas coisas injustas em relação algumas cobranças. Pelo valor das diárias são caros mas optamos em pagar devido ao conforto, charme do hotel. Só que nunca imaginamos que cobrança de todo restaurante seria em dólar , transfer mas com custo alto, se fosse mais justo mesmo em dólar não seria problema. Pontos importantes aos brasileiros que não vi ninguém alertando. Se hospedar nesse hotel, alugue um carro antes para não ficar refém do transfer que hotel disponibiliza ( não sei se é terceirizado) pois em dólar e o valor é abusivo. Por exemplo, nosso grupo familiar de 11 pessoas, a van cobrou 66 dolares para deixar em Carmel e mais 66 dolares para volta , objetivo era jantar na cidade. Restaurante do hotel: comida boa, sem dúvida. Ar condicionado péssimo, ambiente quente, reclamamos mas não adiantou. Porém, pouca gente para atender, preço em dólar, sem opção de peso uruguaio, valores em dólar abusivos. Coca- cola , água saindo um pouco mais de 6 dólares, cerveja 9 dólares, pratos saindo em média 24 dólares. Só vale a pena tomar vinhos , preços melhores. Confiram a conta, pois fizemos refeições duas vezes por lá e valor sempre errado para mais. Eles cobram uma taxa de 4 dólares por pessoa ao sentar no restaurante ou usar as estruturas da área da piscina. Em relação ao valor da van para nos deixar em Montevideo, cobraram 520 dólares e mais um valor extra para pararmos em Sacramento. E tivemos que aceitar pois não alugamos carro apesar de acharmos que alugar 3 carros não seria tão mais barato só que sem carro, ficamos sem opções interessantes para irmos à pequena cidade para experimentar novos restaurantes . Se for para gastar em dólar em transfer, melhor gastar no restaurante do hotel. Acrescentaria nos quartos opção de fornecer chinelos aos hóspedes, como em muitos hotéis de luxo oferecem.

Era todo lo que precisábamos: entorno tranquilo, personal de primera, habitaciones en excelente estado, amenities (spa, yoga, piscina) y gastronomía muy buena. Fuimos un par de noches de relax en pareja (y bebé en camino) y el hotel superó expectativas. Desde que llegas te reciben en la entrada, llevan las valijas directo a la habitación, coordinan las reservas para los restaurants/actividades que uno quiera. Particularmente queremos reconocer la atención de Marisol de recepción y Edda del spa, las dos súper amables y serviciales. También el staff del restaurant/desayunador muy buena disposición y servicio. El desayuno tenía todo: huevos en diferentes formatos, panadería, frutas, cereales, café, etc. Cenamos allí una noche y la comida muy rica, servicio rápido. La habitación Bungalow súper amplia, limpia y cómoda. La bañera, con el sol de la mañana, un lujo. Los masajes del spa valen cada dólar, está muy cuidada la parte de vestuarios y salas de relax. Solo agregaría un poco más de luz a la zona de la piscina, y algo de música (quizás eso fue solo justo el día que fuimos). La clase de yoga es súper accesible para quienes no practicamos regularmente y se desarrolla en un entorno espectacular, pegado a una playita. Fuimos al atardecer, recomendable 100%. Seguro vamos a volver.
