This is my third time in Pestana Troia. It is a very nice resort with a very exclusive beach, which is hard to find in anywhere else in Portugal. However and although me and my family love the place, I think Pestana Management is doing a very bad job on managing resort. Hope this review helps the people in charge in take action. I stayed for 9 nights and there was no house cleaning or bed change! I had to call the reception and the only thing I had in return was an apology! (they refund me on the price of the presumably service, which is ridiculous taken into account how much you pay for each night in the resort!) The house where we stayed was poorly maintained; I had to call the reception; they fixed one of the showers, the kitchen sink and the front door! Other poorly maintained stuff could not be fixed! The kids wardrobes doors did not work properly! The water pressure barely made showering possible. The kitchen closets were all damaged and with a bad smell! The clothes hanger had rust which left my swim suits and towels damaged! And the A/C were noisy and unbearable during the night! If the price was half I would assume all this as acceptable. However I don't think the current house maintenance and housekeeping justifies the price we are paying! It is unacceptable! One more detail, the saunas are not working properly and they know it! Just warn me at check-in!! By the way the people in charge by the resort maintenance are for sure not doing a good job, because Covid is still no place, at least there's still a lot of posters on site with a Call to Action and Rules from Covid! Unbelievable!! It is a petty that Pestana people can't keep up with the dream resort they have and also with their higher (and higher) prices! It would be nice to have a Call Back from the management and at least to get an apology for the bad service they are doing! But probably management is on holidays!!
