This was such a wonderful place to stay during our time in Tuscany! It was centrally located and we were able to walk to town and drive to many other villages and sites in a short amount of time. All of the staff were so very helpful - giving us so many recommendations for places to eat, things to do, wineries to see, etc. The room was very cozy and very clean! We would definitely stay here again!

We have stayed at the hotel Salivolpi many times over many years. The reason for these returns is the welcoming and warm atmosphere of the hotel staff and the comfort of their beautiful rooms. Breakfast is also a real treat.

Beautiful property at the edge of a picturesque small town in Tuscany. Our room was small but charming . The property grounds were beautiful and it had a nice swimming pool. The breakfast was also delicious The best part was the front desk staff as they were extremely helpful with our future trip making calls for us and saving us time and money.

We have stayed at the hotel for many years. This is our first return since the COVID travel restrictions and the hotel and staff are as great as ever. The rooms are very comfortable and quite. The grounds are beautiful, and the breakfast is over the top. We had a wonderful stay and hope to return next year.

Fantastic place for relaxing holidays, the house is beautiful and the situation is great to enjoy the Tuscany experience. They only serve a very fine breakfast but the town center is only a few hundred meters away and you'll find fantastic restaurants. But what it pleased us more was the quality of the care they served us with. They were ready to answer and solve our questions and they even went the extra mile by lending me a personal computer to solve a job-related crisis I had. I strongly suggest you stay there, you'll have a memorable experience and you will immediately start looking for time in your calendar for the next visit

Beautiful boutique hotel surrounded by stunning scenery next to the small village of Castellina in Chianti! Arriving towards the beginning of the tourist season on 12th May for a wedding close by and would have stayed longer than 4 days if I could. The staff were kind and helpful without being invasive. The rooms were spacious, charming and filled with character (definitely not a chain hotel), immaculate and cleaned daily with fresh towel change. Breakfast was served in the beautiful gardens each morning, with one of the best continental selections I’ve seen in any hotel! It felt like a private villa as we practically had the pool to ourselves, added bonus if you’re going as a group and can book out the whole place! Drinks (beer, wine, Prosecco, Aperol Sprits and soft drinks with snacks) were served out through the hatch into the garden! Though they didn’t serve afternoon and evening meals, a short stroll to the village provided an abundance of restaurants and delis! Each as lovely as the next, and perfect for meals or just a drink to people watch, as villagers passed calling out greetings to each other. Top Tip: I recommend driving as taxi are hard to come by locally and can be expensive. A real hidden gem, I have nothing bad to say about the hotel, staff or location!

We picked this hotel based on the ratings and we weren't disappointed. The Hotel was clean, centrally located, and the staff were extremely friendly. We enjoyed relaxing evenings sitting outside in the courtyard. The noise level from people/cars around the hotel is minimal. It's a great place to use as a base for traveling throughout Tuscany. I also thought the price was good.

The hotel is a great location to explore the wonderful Chianti region and the many wineries. Rural roads leading from the hotel take you across the beautiful Tuscany landscape with many fantastic vistas. The town of Castellina is also a pleasant place to relax and wander. One of the many nearby wineries is La Piaggia, an excellent place to buy local wine, olive oil, and honey. The comfortable hotel has a lovely garden inviting you to sit and relax. The rooms are clean with plenty of hot water. The staff is very helpful and will answer all your questions about daily itineraries. The breakfasts are also substantial. A great place to spend a few days.
