Hotel Borgovico

Nice small hotel within less than a 10 min walk from train station. We were put in a family suite (easily fits 4) even though there were only 2 of us traveling together. It was also across the small courtyard from other rooms in the hotel and up a flight of stairs. If you have a lot or heavy luggage just be prepared (the staff was very helpful in getting the luggage up) otherwise there's an elevator in the main building if that's where you're staying. Beds were comfortable with a queen on the main floor and 2 twins in a loft area. The loft is not bad for the night but the stairs to the loft are a little dicey so use the handrail. Large bathroom/wet room. There was a tea kettle and tea amenities which helped. You can feel/hear the trains go by but not very loudly so if a light sleeper, earplugs should do the trick and they do stop around midnight and don't start again until around 0630 or 0700.  We didn't have breakfast at the hotel. City center was about a 15 min walk away and the water/lake was less than 10 min away. There is a grocery store about 5 min away and plenty of shopping and restaurants within an easy 20 min walk. Staff was very nice, professional, and helpful with information. I would recommend staying here.

We enjoyed our stay at the Borgovico Hotel! We stayed in the blue Superior Double room, which had floor to ceiling windows that looked out onto Via Borgo Vico. It was clean with a good sized bathroom. They also have a courtyard as well as some tables in the lobby where we ate our pizza takeout one night. The hotel is just a short walk from the ferry and the downtown Como area, and a very short walk to the lake. The street is quieter but also has a great bakery and some restaurants and a bar. Great location. Special shout out to Alex, who was so friendly and helpful, as well as the woman who also worked the front desk (I forget her name)! Thank you for everything.

Loved our 2 night stay here. We will most likely return to Como and if we do, we will definitely stay here! Room is large, spacious and spotless. Lots of storage, large safe and a mini fridge to keep your drinks cold. The bed was very comfortable and we had one of the best sleeps. Bathroom is also nice and spacious. AC functioned well. We enjoyed breakfast at the hotel for one morning and it was fine. Breakfast in Italy is generally different from what we are used to in Canada. We met a lovely couple during breakfast which was nice. Front desk staff are great. They speak English well and are friendly and helpful. Location is great. A short walk from the train station and a little longer but nice walk to the water front and to various restaurants. Quiet location which we really liked. Highly recommend.

Good location to explore Como and nice little rooms with comfy beds. The lobby and the rest of the hotel can get noisy during the night. Price is too steep and the breakfast for 18€ is a scam give all you get is a coffee and a dry croissant. It’s an ok place. Not more.

The hotel was average. The room did not have air conditioning, however, they did provide a fan for us. Overall, the room needs to be updated. There was a wonderful bakery across the street and it was open for breakfast. The location was about a 10 minute walk to the town center.

My family including my parents, husband and teenage son had a wonderful stay at Hotel Borgovico . It's in a charming neighborhood located about a 7 minute walk to Como S Giovanni train station and about 10-12 mins to the historic city center. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The property was immaculately clean. We booked this hotel without really knowing anything about it and couldn't have been happier with our stay. The only thing I would mention, while it wasn't an issue for us, there were at least a couple rooms that didn't have elevator access and the steps up to all the rooms were a little steep and uneven. Anyone with mobility issues might want to make sure their room will work for them.
