Booked last minute, liked the look of the location. Better than hoped for. All amenities close, shops, buses, bars and restaurants. Off the main road, so quiet. Lovely pool area, nice room for budget range. Beach and main town both close. For the price, hard to fault. Would definitely go again.

Il s’agit de la pire réservation que j’ai pu faire de toute ma vie. Les rideaux n’empêchaient pas la lumière d’entrer dans la chambre donc incapacité pour nous de faire des grasses matinées en pleine vacances . La robinetterie a un très gros problème car on entendait tout les bruits de chasses d’eau et de douche ce qui était INVIVABLE. Le réfrigérateur faisait trop de bruits on a du l’éteindre dans la nuit pour dormir et le réveiller chaque matin. Trop de moustiques malgré la prise mise à disposition quand nous sommes arrivés certaines traces d’insectes tues sur le mur. Les chiens aboient toute la nuit donc impossible de dormir aussi. La climatisation normalement incluse comme l’insonorisation devait être payée 5€ par jour. Malgré ma plainte auprès de l’hôtelier et de booking rien n’a été fait pour aucun de ces problèmes. Je ne passerait plus jamais de ma vie par booking. Réception rarement présente voir inexistante bref une déception. La Crète est une île grandiose j’y retournerai mais jamais dans cet hébergement qui nous a gâcher toutes nos nuits.

Nice little complex. Very modern. I upgraded to apartment when I got there. Only cost an extra €70, for week, as opposed to £100 a night on booking, what I usually do, always cheaper. Lovely apartment, very modern and super clean. All you need including toaster and microwave. Pool is good but sore on getting in! The steps are pebbled, ouch! No pool bar, I had their last beer when I arrived and never saw it open again. Staff were all very helpful, manager even offered to take us up hill to a couple of restaurants. As others have said, there is a short, very steep hill to the hotel, but not too bad, just a pain pulling suitcase up. Plenty of restaurants in area, didn’t have a bad meal. Just a short walk to beaches, just cross road and turn left by cafe bar. Nice beaches with good beach bars. Loos are a bit old fashioned, hole in floor, not very nice for the women!!! Frequent buses into Chania, very nice harbour area. If you want duty free fags, buy them at the supermarket, the duty free is much more expensive, the booze is dearer than the uk!!! Don’t rely on the aircraft as they never seem to have stock for the return journey, couldn’t even get a tea. Altogether a great holiday, definitely recommended.

After reading the reviews I realised they were very mixed and kept an open mind when coming to this hotel, as it wasn't the one we had originally booked on 2020!! But on arrival I knew we were going to enjoy it! The rooms are very clean and have everything you would need for you stay, they cleaned daily except on Sundays. Beds are ok, I would recommend asking for an extra pillow though as they are fairly small! Pool is a very decent size, steps leading into it and a ladder - steps are made out of little pebbles so bare that in mind is using! Plenty of sunbeds, didn't have to get up early to claim any. We stayed bed and breakfast and unfortunately the only thing that let it down was the breakfast, very small selection and most of the time it was just us getting it, so maybe they don't have many others take up the offer so don't put too much on - but we always found something to have. Would have liked more fruit options to go with the Greek yoghurt. It's in a really lovely location, not too far from Chania with good bus routes. It is on a slight, steep hill but that's just something to bare in mind when booking if you struggle. All in all we had a lovely time spent here! Thank you, Nireas!!

Stayed at the hotel in September. Manager was helpful and friendly however the standard of the rooms were disappointing. We are not ones to complain but we felt we had to this time. The electrics kept tripping every morning. We had to turn the water off in the bathroom as it was leaking. We reported this to the manager who advised that the electric hob needed replacing but cost to much. As for the hotel bar.. There was never anyone serving and the atmosphere was dead. Unfortunately we would not stop here again. Also the WiFi was turned off the day before we was due to leave.

We had a wonderful stay at the Nireas Hotel. The manager, Christos, was very helpful and made lots of accommodations to help my elderly father stay in a ground floor room. The rooms are quaint and have air conditioning, refrigerators, and a small kitchen area. What makes the hotel memorable is its patio, however. The pool is huge and has a fenced-off kids area in the shallow section. Lounge chairs are comfortable and there is a fully stocked bar. We drove to the area with a car from Heraklion and wanted someplace outside of Hania where we could park and easily access the downtown. This worked great for us. There is a bus stop down the hill. Wait for bus #15, which will take you right to the Venetian Harbor. Highly recommended.

What a restful, peaceful holiday. We have been coming to the Greek islands for over 23 years, the Nireas has been one of our favourite places. The owner Christos is helpful and always willing to help in every way. Our room was attended to regularly and kept very clean. The pool was cleaned daily, staff were delightful. The ideal place for a quiet and peaceful stay.

Stayed here for a week 1st September, we had a great time the hotel is just what we wanted clean and simple, Christos was very helpful, we hired a car from the hotel it was cheaper than those on the Main Street he was helpful in telling us where to visit, Marked it out on the map for us and we wasn’t disappointed on what he suggested, will definitely go back, thanks for having us
