By the Sea Guests Bed & Breakfast and Suites

Stayed at the Beach House. Was near many places but do quiet!!! This was the perfect location for our adult kids, their spouses and our grandchild. It is literally on the beach. Very clean, roomie, 2 bathrooms, 5 bedrooms, many beds. Having the windows open at night was heavenly. It was very quiet. No need to drive to the beach and pay large parking fees. This was perfect for us. Can’t wait to go again in the future.

The location was perfect, right on the beach, but the rooms are very small and I was charged a cleaning fee of $25 per room per day, even the night that we arrived! We never had our room cleaned (our choice) and we left a tip for the cleaning crew but only out of respect that they would clean up after our stay. When I asked the owner to refund the absurd unexpected fees ($75 per room for 3 nights, 2 rooms=$150) she said it was through *********** and they could not refund. This was false as *********** contacted the property and requested the refund. The owner told me not to book with *********** in the future but *********** thought these fees were ridiculous and they credited us $150 towards future bookings. I would say that the owner made a poor decision to not refund the fees as I will never stay there again.

We stayed here many years ago. As we couldn't get into another property due to when we booked, we returned. Though the location is certainly great for the beach, we found things abit "worn". Two of the windows in our room had no screens. A "refresh" in some of the main areas would be beneficial. Breakfast was okay.

My friend and I stayed at By The Sea for 1 week while attending a conference through The Cape Cod Institute. We stayed in room 202 in the bed and breakfast portion of the property. The room was nicely appointed, as were all the common areas in the bed and breakfast. The beds were super comfortable, I slept the best I had in weeks! A delicious homemade breakfast was made to order daily. Our conference started earlier than when breakfast was served and Erin was super gracious to make us breakfast sandwiches to go, which was above and beyond. The property is located right on a wonderful stretch of private beach and numerous lounge chairs are provided. I enjoyed the convenience of morning walks and evenings spent sipping wine on the beach. A great property with friendly staff who go out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable.

Beware!! There is additional cleaning fee on top of the price of the room. I am not kidding! The taxes are high. Cleaning of the room is optional but paying the fee is NOT optional. When I realized this I immediately called to cancel the room and they refused to refund my payment of one night even though it was a over a week prior to arriving and I had just booked. The room in the picture that we selected showed a balcony. There was no balcony. They did not sweep the front entry once while we were there for two nights and we constantly had sand on the faux wood floors even though we tried hard not to track in sand. I would not return nor recommend By The Sea Guest Suites.

We rented an accessible suite and it was just perfect. The decor was contemporary and comfortable. Our balcony gave us a nice view of the water. The best thing about our room was the accessible walk in shower with a fold down seat. We never find anything so wonderful when we travel. The private beach is beautiful and lounge chairs and beach towels are provided. I only have two small negatives the beautiful granet counter kitchen was not well stocked for eating and cooking more pots, pan,dishes and utensils are needed ( no large pot, no cereal Bowles and only 3 forked) also the mattress was very hard and for a person with a disability that can be very uncomfortable. But we managed and throughly enjoyed our visit. Staff was friendly and welcoming.

I first saw the sea through the large framed clean/clear window and doors which takes you to it when you step past the well manicured grounds where the Captain's House sits bordered by beautiful blue hydrangeas, a front lawn of fine fescue and inviting Adirondack rockers. Go up the front steps to the old fashioned porch with a soft cushioned glider. And closer to the magic door which enters onto the sand and sea, just to the left a comfortable roofed seating area to relax while your steaks are flamed in the early evening on the grill provided and your fingers and toes are warmed by the firepit on those cool New England nights. The house. The history and charm of this structure. The rooms, their ambience. The family staffers, their welcoming way. The good, ample, homemade breakfast cooked in view of the kitchen a half-wall away; the lingering lounging in the beachside breakfast room seated by, again, clean windows looking out on the vista and its' visitors. Step back in time. It's just as you imagined. By The Sea Guests is quickly home and family because of By The Sea Hosts!

This is an easy review to write because we can only say glowing things about the SeaShell Motel, By the Sea Suites & Guesthouse, and the English Garden. We booked each of these places (located within feet of one another) for our wedding weekend. We also had our entire wedding party do the same, and let me tell you, we had the ABSOLUTE BEST WEEKEND. From the Friday night bonfire/pizza party on the beach to the goodbye breakfast on Monday, Erin and her team did everything that they possibly could to make our weekend so special. They worked around the clock to ensure that our experience was superb- and it was. Their oceanfront view is breathtaking, their family friendly private beach is so welcoming, and their food is absolutely outstanding. We challenge you to find a better combination on Cape Cod for a better price – you can’t. This trio is the real deal and the best kept secret on Cape Cod. Some of the best memories (and photos) that we will treasure for the rest of our lives occurred on their special beachfront property. Erin and her team are part of our family now – and we can’t wait to bring our kids back for summers on Chase Ave!
