Il Tyrol

First time staying always in Italy skiing and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT. The hotel can only be described as outstanding. The staff were too the highest level. Every evening we had our own table and set menu which honestly was some of the best food in my life (I’ve eaten in many places). Lovely hotel , even better staff and food.

Had a wonderful stay here. Everything about the hotel is excellent but what really differentiates it is the staff. The hotel is so well run and the staff are all hard working, friendly and efficient. We appreciated our lovely the room, the food, the sauna and the location in particular. The very regular ski bus stops just at the end of the hotel drive. We really hope to come back again. Just returned from a week’s stay at Il Tyrol through Crystal Ski. The hotel has been outstanding in every way. The staff are very attentive and work exceptionally hard to ensure that guests are well looked after. Dinner every evening was wonderful, and the standard of food was way above anything I’ve had before in a hotel, consistently. Finally, the cleaning staff were excellent, making up our room beautifully every day, and the hotel itself is spotless and beautifully decorated and furnished. With regard to location, this hotel is in the perfect spot, right in the centre of San Candido, which is a very pretty place with ample shops, bars and cafes. I think we will definitely return :)

very nice stay , I liked the hotel and services very much. Very nice and welcome approach of all in the restaurant and reception. They remembered what we liked and welcomed us personally , so nice ! Room was comfortable and large. Good and healthy food on breakfast and dinner. Perfect position of the hotel. Skibus stop was in front of the hotel.

Very comfortable family hotel, in the very center of the pedestrian area. Excellent service, friendly and helpful staff, very good food. Very clean, stay in the spa center needs to be scheduled which is extraordinary, because it is not crowded. We will surely come again😁

We have just returned from our fourth stay, this time of 12 nights, at this wonderful hotel. Every stay we appreciate it more and it really has become a 'home from home' in the beautiful Dolomites. The combination of comfortable rooms, superb facilities, excellent food, courteous, helpful and friendly staff and of course family makes it for us unbeatable. We also very much appreciate the location in a quiet site but just around the corner from the main shopping and cultural area and only a few minutes walk from a bus stop and the train station. We look forward with great pleasure to our next stay, hopefully next year.

I booked the hotel for two nights for a party of 10 who were doing a hiking trip in the nearby majestic Sextner Dolomiten. The hotel met or exceeded our expectations. The communication throughout was excellent. The accommodation was very spacious and comfortable. The half-board dinners were excellent and enjoyed by all. The staff, including Francesco on reception, could not have been more helpful and welcoming. The bar area was ‘gemütlich’ and the swimming and spa facilities got good reviews from those who used them. The hotel is very good value and is a stone’s throw from the main street in Innichen. My friends and I would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel and would all be very happy to stay there again. I certainly hope to return one day as this is my idea of a comfortable but unpretentious family-run hotel.

We stayed at this hotel in January, so a little late in writing this review. This hotel is superb and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very convenient for the ski bus and San Candido is a lovely place. The food was excellent, the staff and waiters were extremely friendly and a special mention should be given to the cleaning staff as the hotel was spotlessly clean in all areas. A nice touch to be given a breakfast bag on the day of departure and to be asked what we would like in it. We would 100% recommend this hotel.

We would recommend this family run hotel and agree with all recent comments on Trip Advisor. All the staff were friendly and helpful . The reception staff arranged all our requests promptly and the morning shuttle bus to the station for the ski train was most efficient . This is the best way to get to either the Drei Zinnen slopes(versciaco station) or Kronplatz where the Percha lift is on the platform ! ( an area lift pass is required) . The hotel has also the ski bus timetables and routes ( most on circular routes so beware going in the wrong direction!) An alternative ski bus from the car park entrance of the hotel takes you to the nearest local slopes and then on to Sexten . The bar is well stocked with a local unfiltered beer and the barman makes excellent spritzers and snacks . An outstanding member of staff is the Sommelier (Fabio) and his recommendations especially on the local wines are consistently good . He is most attentive and knowledgeable. The restaurant food we would judge to be of very high standard and all the waiters and waitresses were observant and considerate with language skills to help . Our room on the third floor was large and well equipped with a lovely high ceiling and sunny balcony with Mountain views. All spotlessly clean as was the pool and spa area . In the basement there is a large pool table and for sports fans a large TV with Sky Sports for major sporting events . A large library area ,separate kids playroom , heated boot room and lounge area with log fire complete the amenities. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay in a faultless hotel . The Tyrol is adjacent to the pedestrian centre of a lovely smart and quiet town . The hotel guest card ( free) allows unlimited ski train and bus service and although ski access is not the most convenient with a little reception advise and use of the guest card one soon gets the hang of the location .
