The property is simply beautiful, however quite a few things during our stay that were disappointing, and that’s because in my mind I was comparing it to a Parador experience. Bathroom amenities … better not the have that to offer what it is in the room. Not even mentioning the Green & sustainable pitch and all individual cases. Terrible. Minibar not working on a summer time! No way to get cold water in the room…at a property like that?!phone on the room not working… so to ask for anything I would need to step down? Tired? Thorn (and holes) sheet in the bed… that should have never passed by … Breakfast: no scramble. Eggs? Not to order nothing? No crepe, eggs, churros?! Then again, staff cafeteria was great! Good bike assistance and structure, attentive person at check in that came to meet us outside the reception to speed us up and store the bikes while other people where checking in. Amazing location! However overall experience was not as expected

This was our 2nd last hotel on the Camino after a long walk it was amazing and the best on our trip. The room was huge, the staff friendly and it was great to have a pool to cool off in. We were so tired we even decided to have dinner in the hotel and that was good as well. Could not recommend this hotel more highly

This is off the Camino path and dinner is included which is nice, but, limiting. We’d prefer to be in town. Room was nice facing the open plaza, great common areas, friendly staff. I wish they would refrain from putting those smelly sticks in the room - we immediately put out on the terrace - why? One night is perfect, it is quiet.

This an attractive hotel in the middle of a residential area about 400 meters Camino trail. Our room was nice and for a change, we actually got a king bed rather than two twins. Service was friendly. The breakfast was not up to par with other hotels we had along the Camino.

We had a very nice welcome on arrival. Our room 111 was a good size with a view over fields. There was a pool also. We liked everything about this hotel. Breakfast is great with high quality food and drinks. If ever again in this area we would stay here.

We had a small but comfortable room in this beautiful historic building. The wifi and aircon worked well and the bed was very comfortable. The room was showing its age in places and in need of maintenance. There was only one chair in the room (there were two of us staying) and the windows didn't open for ventilation. The shower screen wasn't fitted properly and flooded the bathroom when we showered. The evening meal was very well served and delicious. Breakfast was a buffet in a noisy area and not up to the high standard of the evening meal. It is an impressive looking building but spoilt by staff standing outside the front doors smoking. We saw the receptionist and bar manager smoking there twice while customers were around. It didn't make a good impression given the 4 star rating of the hotel. We think the hotel manager needs to be more proactive to ensure its 4 star standards are maintained.

A lovely historic building … there the praise ends. I’m afraid . This is supposed to be a 4 star establishment, it’s not . The staff without exception were cool and not particularly friendly nor helpful . The room was tired looking and very old fashioned . I can’t imagine why this hotel has rave reviews . We have spent 13 nights in 13 different hotels whilst walking the Camino , this was our least favourite by far . The sign in bathrooom regarding not washing towels to save the environment next to bowl oh plastic disposable toiletries. Was somewhat ironic . Admit it you just don’t want to wash towels . Give it a miss

A beautiful hotel in the middle of nowhere. However, our stay was totally spoilt by a rude and spiteful member of staff . Everyone was lovely except for one staff member with black curly hair . She didnt like it that we sat in the sun in the seating area at the back , chastised us verbally and went out of her way to be unhelpful and smilingly vindictive for the rest of our stay . She made us wait excessively and repeatedly in the restaurant while being overly attentive to other diners . When we asked for a second glass of wine with pur mains ( willing to pay for it ) she indicated she would bring it but didnt . Instead she made a point of stripping the tables surrounding us and deep cleaning them . Following that she then made a point of removing all the open wine from the dining room and putting it away . The food was nice but our treatment left a nasty taste. Needless to say, we were not willing to put up with this treatment any longer and left , relocating to the bar where we were treated better. Lovely room , comfie bed and breakfast . I believe this staff member would deny the way she treated us if asked , but my friend and I know how she made us feel and we are convinced it was deliberate !

We arrived Padron, expecting nothing flash. And then the hotel! OMG, it is awesome. A magnificent old chateau (circa 1500) turned into an elegant and classy hotel. I am of the opinion it is worthy of 5 stars. There was a bunch of us in the Camino group, and we were all blown away! Breakfast also was awesome!

Beautiful hotel in an historic building on The Camino is wonderful Galicia. While a tad short on staff, we were made very comfortable by the efforts of Maria, who seemed to be single handedly - and most graciously - running the place. Tastefully decorated, nicely appointed rooms. Our groups of six enjoyed the refreshing pool after a long day of walking. Kudos to the staff who worked very hard to ensure we had a nice stay, despite needing more hands on deck.

Beautiful building and was looking forward to a comfortable night However this hotel has the air of a business being run by people who are not naturally of the hotel industry. When one arrives exhausted from a 26k walk in 35 degree heat one hopes for at least a welcome and perhaps an offer of a glass of water to avoid keeling over in reception. The chap on teh front desk was not particularly in the mood to move nev mind help. Later - "what's the history of this building..?" - "you can scan the QR code..". "Oh, thanks...". Very few beds round teh pool. Pool looked as though it needed cleaned. Breakfast was ordered as a picnic. It was pretty dire and we threw away most of it. "The phrase "fur coat and nae knickers" came to mind. Comfortable, clean, intriguing but lacking. Meal in adjoining restaurant was ok but expensive.

Beautiful surrounding but low on service. No lunch menu of importance and very low competence of staff. We don't have cognac in the bar on 4 star hotel, stay clear imo. There is a fundamental lack iinthe customer understanding, And it's 15 minutes backwards in the amino.

Dieses Hotel ist einfach unglaublich. So etwas Schönes hatte ich noch nie zuvor gesehen. Mein Zimmer war sehr schön und die Matratze war ein Traum. Ich habe sehr gut geschlafen.
