Comis Hotel & Golf Resort

Comfortable hotel with good restaurant and nice pool. We were here for a Car Club meeting-it was a bonus that there’s lots of free parking. Very friendly and helpful reception staff, even supplying breakfast half an hour earlier than their usual (6-00 rather than 6-30), so that those with early ferries to catch could have it. Only comment which some others have made – rooms don’t have air-conditioning and they could get quite warm. But I believe fans are available.

Checked into hotel at 3pm left hotel for a drive and returned at 7pm , ate at restaurant for 2 hours and returned to room at 10pm. Run a bath and returned to a bathfoom with a bath full of brown sludge water - apparently the hotel is having issues with boiler and general manager was made aware this afternoon but couldn’t get a plumber to come and investigate - hotel had ample opportunity to make me aware of issue starting from check in at 3pm , upon return at 7pm and any stage between checking into hotel restaurant at 8pm and leaving at 10pm - instead they decided to try and put a lid on things and not make guests aware of issue!! Disgusting customer service - had the bath not been run we would have brushed out teeth in this sludge water !! General manager was clearly aware of issue and should have informed the guests !!!

Had a meal at the restaurant, main was nice, starter not hot and small for the cost. Very expensive menu - what you’d expect in Mayfair London! Service was good overall however some waiters were talking Filipino loudly across tables to each other which was rude. Not very busy (probably due to cost!).

Food in restaurant is charging London prices for pub food, also all the waiters were speaking Filipino to each other, over rated for what you get and portions not enough to fill you up. More staff than customers which says a lot about the restaurant.

Lovely place amazing rooms but not very family friendly. Great for business people, weddings and golfers. Felt a bit off being there with a toddler. They have a small indoor playground which is pretty notorious and unsafe. The floor is hard and there is a huge gap at the bottom of the slide where little ones can bump their heads. Aside that, the hotel is magnificent. Staff are amazing and very helpful. State of the rooms is impeccable. Lovely views

The industrial outdoor appearance does not do justice to the splendor and luxury of the interior , we stayed two nights with children for a family wedding and didn't want to leave, absolutely brilliant place, excellent food, great breakfast

Stayed on a staycation deal, had a lovely time. Very clean spacious room and bathroom, wonderful evening meal in Brulot. Starters were very good & large portions ( mushroom pappardelle ordered by friends and I had baba ganoush). Mains were excellent steaks and i went for chicken piccata with mash- all delicious. We were all very full so we skipped desserts ( that’s a first for us!). Good breakfast, especially the pancakes with butter & maple syrup. Must have to enquire about eggs with the cooked breakfast as only appeared to be scrambled eggs available, other reviewers pointed out on here that eggs other ways could be provided- but that wasn’t highlighted at all as we were choosing breakfast components. All of the staff throughout were very courteous and happy & friendly. Very pleasant relaxed atmosphere in dining room and breakfast room- would definitely return, loved it!

Hello, we stayed and my 2 dogs stayed from 11th July for 5 days at your beautiful hotel. From the minute we arrived our visit was pleasant and exceptional. All staff were extremely helpful and friendly from the moment we arrived until we left. Every single member of staff from reception, to house keeping to management were courteous, friendly, chatty and always stopped to speak to us and our dogs. The hotel was spotlessly clean in all areas and the rooms were large and comfortable. Our room had doors that led directly outside so our dogs could roam freely and safely. We were greeted with dog beds, bowls and treats and gifts. This hotel is the best ‘Dog Friendly’ property we have ever stayed at. Dogs (well behaved) allowed everywhere and staff genuinely interested. To many places proclaim to be dog friendly but have so many limitations it’s rarely a pleasurable experience. Thank you for this extra special effort. Food was great with lots of variety and served quickly with amazing views. Dinner was great too and accommodating specially requests was simply not a problem, seeing it cooked directly in the restaurant was a bonus. All details have been well thought from wide parking spaces, EV Charging (which was so simple to use), lots of outdoor and indoor mingling spaces and exceptional eco friendly features. We will certainly return again, I hope this message is forwarded to management. Thank you again.

Excellent food in Le Brulot restaurant. All restaurant staff are a credit to the Comis Hotel, the service was exceptional. Breakfast was good - standard buffet Room was spotlessly clean - bathroom was immaculate. The only downside was that it was such a shame that it was so quiet for a weekend. Would recommend and look forward to staying again.
