The Old Coach House

This place is not the best but is not the worst and the price reflects that. We certainly had a good nights sleep and found the room OK - could have been cleaner. Check in was quick and easy as was checkout. No food is available at the hotel. In a nutshell, you get what you pay for and it was acceptable for one night.

Smelly dated room, Rubbish on top of wardrobe, dirty cups, shower took 15 mins to give warm water, shower cubicle was absolutely disgusting, shower head caked in limescale, shaving light didn’t work, dirty bathroom floor. Honestly cannot figure out why this is a 3 star. Stayed in a 2 star hotel a week ago which was incredible in comparison. There’s no restaurant as advertised, no bar. Just avoid, yes it’s cheap (company paid for my stay) but it’s far from cheerful, far better stays in the area for only a few quid more.

Cheap cheerful and very friendly helpful staff. Great location with everything in easy walking distance. Dog friendly as well. It does not pretend to be a five star resort!!!! We will definitely return when next in the area!!!

The pillows are the only thing thats ok I stayed there on the 20th July the two men in the next room were talking all night and one of them snorted so lound he kept me awake then at 5am they started all over again. No one at reception Then I stayed there in the winter and the cheap owner turned the heating off during the night. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE dont stay here its a HOLE . Holes in the walls and sockets hanging off the wall and it stinks Even if he pays me to stay here I would say no. Never again , extremely cold room and water took over ten minutes to warm in the shower not sure if this is a hostel or hotel couple of unsavoury people staying and smells of let’s say herbal burning coming along the corridor no restaurant or breakfast offered or bar as advertised and the coloured man who I presume to be the owner was extremely rude and unhelpful, had to inform my company to make no further bookings at this place very disappointing

Me and my partner took a little donder up to Buckie last night to get away and enjoy a wee weekend away together and go antique hunting (Cullen is perfect for this!). My partner booked the room on ********** and well a picture can hide a multitude of sins just The old Coach inn did. We arrived in the evening after travelling all day and were greeted by, well no-one but a number to call if no-one was around. The building was in darkness which isnt very welcoming at all. We called the number and a very rude Asian man came down the stairs and said we were late. My partner was choking for a pint so we asked if the bar was open to which he told us no it was closed. As we checked in we asked about breakfast and told it would be £8 each for a continental breakfast. £8 for a few slices of cheese and a yogurt - I don't think so. I may be Aberdonian but that is taking the biscuit. After we checked in we went to our room where on route realized the hall lights in he main corridor to our room didn't work. Faulty Towers or what?! The room resembled a 70's basic suite with holes in the wall as well as insects. Through the night we could hear every bit of noise too. On top of the wardrobe there was an inch of dust and a dirty mask. Cleanliness doesn't exist at this Hotel. Would we stay here again? I think you already no the answer. I DO NOT RECOMMEND

Arrived here after a long journey from home. Our booking was not off to a good start the young lad dealing with us could not find us on the system but by good fortune they had a room for us. We asked for help with our luggage and the young lad was seconded for that too. Haven eating earlier we did not need the restaurant. We got into the room tried to make the most of it as their was not enought furniture to lay out our clothing and belongings. Also could have done with a bath but wife found slaters around the plug hole so that put paid to that. tI had a meeting to go to so wife contented herself in front of telly till I got back. We were out all of the next day with friends so did not need the room for anything else but sleep. The only upside of our stay was their large healthy breakfast. It set you up for the day and was the only feature of the stay. We would not recommend this hotel to anyone the room had holes in the wall and the room had nothing going for it. We just wanted out and homeward bound. We will not be back.
