Always been a nice budget hotel right on the sea front with plenty of parking with reduced tickets from your hotel. Over the year we have visited this hotel,this year however one big complaint the toilet runs continuously hence when flushes no water. I had reported this last year and again when we arrived this time but despite promise to fix it I ended up having to flush with bottles of water. Pity really because the staff are good here bu y despite the hotel quite empty I would have expected toilet to be fixed. So beware and check.

Very cheep hotel , got allocated room 114 on 1st floor , the room was very very dated , the shower wasn't working, so we told reception , then to discover the toilet wasn't screwed down to the floor, so it wobbled whist sitting on it, then when it come to bedtime, the bed base was completely broken, so no sleep on our first night, we went to reception and told them, they sent a maintenance guy to our room , and looked at the bed, and then told us we can move to another room, which was 214 on the 2nd floor , very happy with this room , the only fault was the bathroom was freezing cold as the radiator wasn't working , but for a weekend stay or over night stay for great price . This hotel was good enough , the two staff we saw were friendly . No idea if they had a restaurant , as we wasn't offered food if we wanted breakfast or dinner? But the view we had from both rooms was lovely looking onto the pier 😀 .

Great and central location, right by the pier yet still peaceful and quiet. Staff were very communitative, helpful and friendly. Everything was very straightforward. Rooms were basic but still good, with everything you need. The hotel was good for a cheap short stay.

We stayed at this hotel as we won a voucher and this was the only hotel to accept it in the area. We stayed in room 114 and feel that 3/5 is generous. Communication when booking was very delayed, the room was very tired but had everything needed. The shower head needs Limescale remover, toilet needs fixing to the floor / wall as moved every time it was used. Only 1 towel each, and no floor towel or hand towel provided - we took our own bathrobes so this wasn’t a huge problem for us but was disappointing, the mattress was very soft and the springs had gone, but more worryingly there were no mattress or pillow protectors 🤢 our room did have a balcony which you could sit out on and had a nice view of the pier, the building in front burnt down 3 years ago and there’s still scaffolding up protecting the ruins. This has opened up the view a bit more and sunrise on the day we left was lovely. Our room had doors that opened out onto the balcony which I loved. It is quite noisy being by the road and some of the guests that were staying there while we were there were annoying and loud during the night but this isn’t the hotels fault! Communal spaces were not inviting or even looked open to use including the bar! Can’t comment on breakfast as it wasn’t available when we stayed but this was advised at booking and we quite enjoyed going for a walk and choosing somewhere to eat and highly recommend Nicolettas 2 min walk behind the hotel and the Beach Deck 20 min walk out of the hotel to the left. The location is good as you’re very central but the clock on the pier ringing every 15 minutes 8am-11pm is annoying. Parking permit (£2 per day) outside the hotel is good. Behind the hotel is a good selection of eateries and the Beacon shopping centre. Overall not bad and would probably come back if these small issues were fixed

An old building, in need of refurbishment internally. The single room was cramped and had a stained seat and carpet. The table had been painted with white emulsion over gloss and was peeling! Not surprisingly there was no air conditioning and it was necessary to have the window open. The view was pretty grim. There was a potential security issue as guests from other rooms could climb through the window if they wanted to! The bathroom was clean, thankful for small mercies! The price charged was expensive and did not represent value for money. The reception staff did not keep the desk attended at all times and the checking-in deadline was quite early for a hotel. I would not want to stay here again.

It is what you pay for. We upgraded to a balcony sea view room and was very pleased we did. Great/helpful reception. We showed him where we parked and he explained it was free on a Sunday so we only paid for Monday. Room was small but comfortable and we had the sound of the sea to sleep to, yes the bell on the pier sounds every 15 minutes until 11pm but you can’t blame the hotel for that. Good location and good hotel.

We enjoyed our holiday. Our room was good, food very good, staff friendly and very helpful nothing too much trouble. The lift was a total nightmare one lift for 3 floors, they need another one putting in. On the whole excellent holiday and would recommend it. 😊

The hotel has very cramped spaces in the room , poor shower , windows dirty, the hole hotel smells musty, location is poor ,drug adics opposite room and constant loud bell ringing from the peer twice an hour untill 11 o'clock at night .I would not recommend this hotel.
