Nous avons vécu une expérience pénible et humiliante dans cet hôtel, que nous avons quitté peu après notre arrivée: au lieu des 2 chambres doubles de luxe réservées pour une semaine sur le site de l'hôtel deux mois avant avec garantie de carte de crédit et reconfirmées la veille par mail, on nous a attribué 2 chambres sous les toits n° 214 et 216 sans aucun rapport avec la catégorie réservée. Nous avons heureusement pu trouver immédiatement 2 hôtels sérieux et convenables dans le centre de Florence: l'un nous a hébergés immédiatement et l'autre après 48 heures pour le reste de la semaine dans cette belle ville. Il se trouve que je suis un agent de voyages retraité qui connaît bien l'Italie: c'est la 1ère fois en 45 ans que je suis traité de cette façon. J'ai bien sûr déposé plainte auprès des autorités touristiques locales et informé mes confrères français. Pour le moment, près d'un mois après, je n'ai reçu aucune explication ni regret de cet établissement indigne.

Je précise qu'il s'agit d'un quatre étoiles, normes locales??? Assurément. Contrairement aux avis élogieux qui m'ont induit en erreur, je vais essayer d'être objectif. Accueil:minimaliste. Aucune aide pour les bagages. Chambre très petite. Le tout date des années 50-60. J'ai choisi cet hôtel pour la piscine : elle fait 4 m x 8 m environ x 1 m de profondeur: une pateaugeoire. Il y a 12 chaises longues en tout. L'hôtel est excentré, il est à 10-15 mn de marche du Palazzo Pitti (même entrée que pour jardin Boboli). Le petit déjeuner est facturé 10€/personne. On a essayé une fois. Les petits cafés à 5mn de marche sont charmants et font du vrai expresso, caffe latte, etc. Les cintres de l'unique armoire sont très usés. Les fenêtres donnent sur le parking ou sur la rue. Le parking est petit (12 véhicules environ).

Hotel supposedly a four star but not worthy of two stars. We were a family of three, the room was smelly and mouldy, no wardrobes or a desk or table, and the bathroom was not very clean. Booked here because of the parking but did not get a space so it was of no use, had to park on the street in the paid parking.

This hotel was disappointing. I give it 3 stars only because the location was good. Public transportation was very close and we could get to the downtown center in very short order. The room would have been nice 10 years ago or so when it was last updated. Bur now it is quite dated and in need of updating. The throw pillows on the bed were soiled and smelled of dirt and sweat. We immediately took them off and called the desk for clean pillows. The shower was a nice size but drained so slow that we had to keep the water pressure at a minimum or we would have over-run the shower pan. The a/c barely kept the room livable, but it was stuffy unless we had the windows wide open. There was an old safe in the wardrobe but no key for it. The wardrobe itself could be locked but you had to rock it back of the rear side so that the doors would line up to allow the deadbolt to be engaged. The last issue with the room was that there were shades or curtains on the windows so that the light could be blocked out at night. We had to get a blanket that we could drape over the window to block out all the light. Breakfast was very nice with a good assortment of breads and sweets. The scrambled eggs were the best we had in our stay in Italy. Coffee and juices were also good and plentiful. All things considered, I would not book this hiotel again.

Although the location is good (walking distance to centre of Florence), we found the hotel to be very dated. The rooms are in desperate need of renovation and the air-conditioning just about works, Although the vents were covered in dust. The basic room doesn't have a kettle/ or tea coffee facilities. The staff are friendly enough but you have to go hunting for them if you want a drink at the bar. Breakfast choice was okay and worked out cheaper than in the city. There is parking available on site which was a big plus.

The location is why we have given this hotel any rating at all. The location is fantastic because you are within a stones throw away from the centre of Florence, yet you can enjoy tranquility away from the mayhem. We withheld stars because the rooms were old and tatty. The bath towels were tiny..literally the size of a hand towel. The place felt grubby, old and badly in need of a makeover. The pool is small (it’s a plunge pool) but it was really dirty and is sun shaded very quickly. The front desk staff were constantly on the phone necessitating a LOT of waiting around. One of the occupants got locked into their room and when we tried to get assistance for him, eyes were rolled. We just felt unwelcome and uncomfortable. We travel a lot and this is very sadly one of our worst reviews ever. This place needs to grow out of its sense of entitlement. Just because they can doesn’t mean they should. Ability to park on site is a benefit. Didn’t get a chance to review the breakfast as we found an atmospheric coffee house. Just before via Romano.

I loved the elegant room and the private outdoor space outside our room. The front desk staff were so nice and accommodating. They helped arrange transportation and made reservations for us. A big treat was meeting the owner of the hotel twice during my 5 day stay. I loved that he was so present. A great property we highly recommend.

Fantastic property and location for a family of various ages arrival to Florence with nice rooms, beautiful cafe and swimming pool. This hotel location I chose because I did not want to be inside the busy area near the Duomo where I have stayed many times. This location allowed the young adults to walk to town through the Boboli Gardens or up to Piazza Michelangelo where we had scheduled a dinner in advance. The service was excellent. Loved our stay. Grazie.

Fabulous boutique hotel with lovely pool and great restaurant just 15 mins walk from the Main Street. Family run hotel with great service. Shout out to Simone on reception and Alexandro at the pool. Great value for money with small gym and excellent air conditioning
