Repeat stay. Wonderful ambience. Spacious and well appointed room. Very comfortable bedding. Great buffet dinner, excellent spa and gym. Infinity pool was fabulous overlooking the river. Courteous staff. Possibly the best hotel in Yangon for this price.

One of the best hotels in Southeast Asia. I come here every time i visit yangon. Everything is great about this hotel. The interior design is 7 star. The service and amazing ala minute breakfast 6 star. The dispensable amenities are 5 star. Everything is good. Dev raj and his team of well trained professionals will ensure you a comfortable stay.

It was a great stay. Staffs are polite and helpful. A male receptionist and a woman Housekeeping attendant at 16th floor were particularly helpful during my stay. The Pool is beautiful and I was actually amazed that they built a very deep pool for a hotel (1.9 m). My feet barely touched the pool ground, but they did have the fitness trainer who watched out for the deep pool. The room is okay, but I feel like it’s a bit small. Don’t get me wrong, they already are among the widest rooms in Yangon, yet the room I got had very tight entrance. The bathroom is separated with toilet and shower and bathtub. TV is rather small, I expected to have a more updated smart TV in this kind of hotel. The only thing I wasn’t satisfied was Breakfast. Yes, they did have variety of selections but the tastes were blend and honestly, I didn’t like their food menus. Overall, it was pretty decent memory to stay at Melia.

L'hôtel est un hôtel de luxe, un grand piscine, un grand petit déjeuner, des chambres spacieuses. Ah, par ailleurs. Il est difficile de trouver quelques restaurants à proximité - être préparé pour un taxi pour tout cas. Mais ils ont 24h de magasin confortable au premier étage. Et - très bizarre pour l'hôtel de ce niveau - il y avait une situation avec salon exec. C'était dans ma réservation mais ils refusent d'accéder à : ”C'était une erreur dans la description de la chambre”. Les gars, c'est vraiment pas mon problème, non ? J'étais pas dans l'humeur pour des négociations difficiles, donc ... laissez le carma décider )))) Et ils n'ont pas d'autobus local (oui, il y a une erreur sur le site de l'hôtel).

The Strand is a find, old hotel which, for the most part, has been tastefully refurbished. Some shortcomings: the staff appear very young, inexperienced and with poor English, resulting in the wrong response to requests - half an hour to get cornflakes for breakfast; the lighting in the suite was poor, with several lamps but few overhead lights, making it impossible to read in bed; the bathroom shower had little water pressure and was difficult to use; we couldn't use the bath as there was no plug; three telephones in the suite but two not working, so the only usable phone was in the toilet cubicle - not the best spot for conversation; requests to resolve the problem went unanswered. Checking out, the management showed no interest in listening to customer feedback. Someone needs to wake up and smell the coffee..

Warning: Major language barriers and smoking issues at this new hotel While this is a newly built hotel, I was shocked by the lack of English proficiency at a 5-star establishment in Yangon. The front desk staff spoke only Mandarin and Burnmese. Ironically, the IT technician was the only person who understood a bit of English, which was the only redeeming factor regarding communication. Key issues for international travelers: Language Barrier: Do not expect to use English with the reception; it is primarily a Mandarin-speaking environment. Smoking Regulation: Despite ”No Smoking” signs in the lobby lounge, guests were smoking openly on the coffee tables. I also encountered guests smoking in the hallways and elevator lobbies on the guest floors. It felt as though I was in China rather than Myanmar. Dining: The breakfast buffet is strictly Chinese-style. There were no Burmese food or drink options available at all. Room Condition: My room had a persistent smell of smoke and was full of mosquitoes. This is likely because housekeeping leaves the doors wide open during cleaning.

I commend all staff for your excellent service and attention to detail. You maintain the high standards of Myanmar hospitality, and I thank you all. In particular, I really loved the view of Shwedagon Pagoda from my room. You have an excellent location as well, and the breakfast is hearty and satisfying. I would like to especially thank the following staff: Thinn Zar and Harry — thank you for attending to me and accommodating my late dinner request Thet Aung Linn — I really appreciated his service as a trainee, and I note his potential. I was very impressed with his fluency in Chinese, which is a great asset The cleaning staff were also dedicated and always conscientious

Tout était bon 👌👌👌😍💙...Le seul désavantage était que vous vous sentiez trop lazy pour sortir ou visiter parce que la chambre de l'hôtel était très confortable, et il était extrêmement chaud à l'extérieur 😅 - Vous pouviez juste rester dans votre chambre, profiter de la vue, aller nager, ou avoir un jour de spa.... Le petit-déjeuner buffet avait beaucoup d'options, et ils ont même changé certains des plats le lendemain. Mon préféré était le saunait était vraiment bon. J'aimais aussi la douche chaude, car elle ne se réfrigère pas même après avoir été sur pendant longtemps 😍 Les massages étaient super et les prix étaient raisonnables.... Le personnel était très utile et gentil... Il y avait occasionnelles interruptions de puissance, mais ils n'ont pris que quelques secondes depuis que le puissance de sauvegarde de l'hôtel a été déclenchée immédiatement... + Bien qu'il soit un peu loin des lieux touristiques, vous pouvez prendre une Grabit abordable et la meilleure option puisqu'il est vraiment chaud pendant la journée....

C'est la deuxième fois que je séjourne ici. La chambre la moins chère était tellement sombre que cela m'empêchait de travailler, de jour comme de nuit. J'ai donc réservé la chambre supérieure, environ 1 000 yens plus chère. Spacieuse et lumineuse, elle manquait cependant d'éclairage la nuit. Le design du bâtiment est peut-être imparfait. En tout cas, choisir une chambre à l'étage était une bonne idée. L'insonorisation était un peu faible et j'entendais le bruit de la chambre voisine, mais comme elle était grande, ce n'était pas trop gênant. Un supermarché se trouvait à proximité, ce qui était pratique. Le choix au petit-déjeuner était limité, mais correct. Le personnel était agréable. La chambre était nettoyée minutieusement. La chambre était sombre et la moquette était usée ; même si elle semblait avoir été nettoyée, elle était sale (usée), ce qui pourrait déplaire à certains.
