It a hotel with a long and rich history. Hotel location is excellent. Near to Chinatown, Market City and train station. Recommended for tourists that want to stay near Chinatown.

Great location, right near the Central train station. I’ve asked for a quiet room and got one at the back of the hotel. I believe the rooms facing the Main Street outside must be noisy as overall walls and windows sound isolation not very good. So, I suggest asking for a room with a window facing inside (no view but peaceful). The room was very basic and you need to ask for shampoo at the reception if you stay longer than one night as room cleaning service is not included.

Given the price of hotels in Sydney this hotel is great value. The location can't be beaten. Room was spacious and well equipped. Good size bathroom. Very comfortable all round. I was there for 5 nights and would definitely stay here again.

Good location near to Haymarket Tram Station/Market city mall and few minutes walk to Central Station. However, the hotel is noisy with exhuast/aircon compressor noise running almost 24/7. The room does not provide basic things like toothbrushes or shower gel, etc. Not even upon request. The kettle for boiling of water is also damaged.

The hotel is really well located - right outside Central Station and just opposite the Light Rail, allowing easy access to Circular Quay. The rooms were really well maintained and clean with comfortable beds and good shower pressure. The breakfast is nice; however, it is a bit odd to advertise it as a "buffet" breakfast and limit it to one serving only.

There are cockroaches in the room, and the facilities is old, but the location is great.

Back to the 50’s… for a picture, likes it, but for sleeping and so on, it’s not worth it, even more with NYE prices doubled

Second times to stay here coz the location. Easy to get there by the train. However, the toilet and tank are a bit old

The location is good very convenient to access the Light Trail, Buses and the Train. The walking distance also not far the Darling Harbour, Sydney Opera House and etc.

Been staying here for years on business trips. Front reception staff are always the highlight, very professional, friendly and willing to help. I like the option for a late check out and the offer to stow bags in the storage until it’s time to leave. Character and old world charm and history of the building and its place among the area has been preserved. By far the best value for money considering it is competing with other glamorous accommodation in the heart of the city. Walking out the door and getting on the light rail is a big plus, easy trip to Darling Harbour, Circular Quay and to the footy in the other direction towards SFS and Fox studios.
