Chambres d’hôtes à Split

This is an intimate 5-room establishment situated amidst the alleys of the Old Town, hence cars cannot drop passengers at the doorstep. Easy enough to catch a shuttle bus for EUR 8 from the airport to the bus station at the port, from which a Makarun staff will meet you and assist you with your luggage to the hotel, a 10-minute walk away. Breakfast is a la carte, as is to be expected for such a small establishment, comprising 3 courses - pastry/toast, eggs of your choice with cold cuts, and a dessert, complemented by tea coffee and/or juice. Food was more than adequate in terms of quantity and quality. My room was comfortable enough, though 2 issues were noticeable: * Instead of a flat cotton bed sheet, there was a fitted sheet made of what seemed like jersey, and looked more like a mattress protector.This was pilled and coarse, in contrast to the far smoother cotton quilt cover. When I brought this to the attention of the staff they explained that this is standard for the hotel. Whilst it did not affect the quality of my sleep, the coarseness of the sheet wasn't entirely pleasant * In the bathroom, the shower was mounted at waist height, hence one either had to hold the shower in one hand, or, if there was a need to use both hands to wash, then one would have to crouch under the shower while it was in its holder. Not particularly convenient. Overall a comfortable stay in a convenient location, enhanced by the friendly and solicitous Ivan and Mario.

assez loin du centre-ville principal, ce qui est un très bon point. complètement silencieux et privé. pas une seule âme n’a troublé mon sommeil. J'en suis content. la chambre est plutôt luxueuse et bien équipée. Le Wi-Fi est excellent.

I had a fantastic stay! The property was super easy to find using Google Maps, and the receptionist was kind and very helpful right from the start. My room was spacious, clean, and looked exactly like the photos — no surprises. Bonus: the TV has Netflix! The area around the hotel is peaceful and quiet. I could occasionally hear other guests closing their doors, but otherwise it was very calm. It’s about a 12–15 minute walk to the Old Town, which made it easy to explore while still being able to come back to a quiet, relaxing space. I’d definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again!

We were so happy to stay in this lovely apartment. It was beautifully decorated and had such a charming atmosphere. Although it's located a little uphill from the Old Town, the location was excellent. The shower room was spotless, and the apartment was equipped with air conditioning, so we were able to sleep comfortably at night. On the day of our arrival, we ended up checking in a little later than planned because our flight was delayed. We let the host know, and they replied very quickly, which gave us great peace of mind. If we ever visit Split again, we will definitely stay here again. Thank you very much for your wonderful hospitality!

Situé dans une vieille partie de la ville, cette bijoux caché est magnifiquement situé, moderne et très propre. La chambre était assez spacieuse pour nous et avait un aircondition et un réfrigérateur, plus un sèche-cheveux. Le centre de la ville est situé à proximité de Riva, des marchés et du palais.

Excellent location right in the centre of great restaurants and the tourism hotspots. The room and bathtub are great. Good wifi and television box for plenty of viewing options. Rooftop garden/outdoor area is amazing at sunset (see attached photos). A couple of things to prepare yourself for which are out of the control of the hotel owners: there are 90 steps to the floor where the rooms are so would not recommend if you are physically challenged, and the restaurants in the square do have music till quite late which is audible in the rooms so light sleepers may like to try ear plugs. Sound did not bother us and the walk up the stairs was good for our health! The whole of the city has bell ringing at various times during the day (7am, Midday, 8pm) No need to set an alarm to wake up in the morning!

While the host has a great attitude, is genuinely helpful, and offers a welcoming touch with free brandy shots, the property falls far short of expectations for the price. Guests should be warned in advance that it is located on the 2nd/3rd floor with no lift, making carrying heavy luggage up 2.5 flights of stairs a major issue. On top of that, the Wi-Fi was unusable during my stay; the host is aware of the problem but hasn't fixed it, even though a basic Wi-Fi 6 or mesh router upgrade would easily solve it. Ultimately, you are paying 5-star hotel prices for a B&B experience with no reception desk, no lift, no luggage assistance, and an early 10:00 AM check-out.

Il s'agit d'un contrôle personnel de l'hôtel. Le personnel de l'hôtel vous donne toutes les instructions pour obtenir la clé. J'ai eu la chance d'arriver à 15 h et j'ai rencontré la personne responsable de l'hôtel. Elle m'a tout expliqué. Durant l'été si vous ouvrez la fenêtre, l'AC cesse de fonctionner. Alors vous restez basiquement avec les fenêtres fermées ou vous sentez le chaleur avec les fenêtres ouvertes. Le petit déjeuner était OK. Les crepes étaient si grandes pour 1 personne. L'omélette était aussi de bonne taille. La chambre est grande. Il y a une boîte de sécurité et un réfrigérateur. Il faut aller dans votre chambre et ramener votre sac à temps au 3ème étage. Le toilette était grand mais il avait un odeur fort. Le savon pour les mains était si fort. Très fort. Pourquoi utilisez-vous ce savon ? Il y a un bar au 1er étage qui appartient à l'hôtel. Il y a eu un match de football et une personne a tourné le volume de la télévision si loud à 11 h. J'ai dû aller descendre pour dire au personnel que j'avais à dormir. Un hébergement coûteux mais que comptez-vous de Split ?

Pro - very close to the Golden Gate and is easy to find. Check in is straightforward. The room is on the first floor above ground so it wasn't the most difficult thing to lift our luggages up. Con - (1) the actual room looks nothing like the pictures online. The online pictures (taken with wide lens mode) show the room to be much larger and brighter, whereas the room is in fact very small and relatively poorly lit. For one, the bed is literally two footsteps away from the door, and we were struggling to find space to open our luggages. (2) One of the beds in the room is in fact a sofa bed, but the property did not declare this when we booked. We spent a lot of time trying to book places which do not use sofa beds but actual beds, and so we can't help but feel that we were misled and misrepresented to. (3) There is a bit of noise. The property is right next to the road and near a pub with some rowdy youths at times. (4) Facilities are minimal. There is only one chair, and the table is very small. Everything else is basic. Nothing luxurious about it despite its name and the photos. (5) There is no lift at the property. We would not have chosen this property if we had a second chance.
