Room and amenities clean. Close to hospital which is why we were there. Also close to train station so you could get to other places easily. Affordable. Parking is good and reasonable rate. Will be staying there again.

ake Up! Bondi Beach is the perfect place to stay if you want to feel the real Bondi lifestyle. The location is unbeatable — right across from the beach, just a few steps to the sand, surf, coastal walk, cafés, and everything happening along the shoreline. Waking up to the sound of waves and watching sunrise from Bondi is something truly special. The hotel/hostel is clean, modern, and well-maintained. My room was comfortable, and even though the space is simple, it had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The common areas were bright and social, ideal for meeting new people, and the rooftop was my favourite spot — stunning ocean views, perfect for morning coffee or sunset chill. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always approachable. They gave great recommendations for food, activities, and transport, which made exploring Sydney much easier. I really appreciated the relaxed vibe — warm, casual, and welcoming. This place is perfect for travellers who enjoy beach life, surfing, fitness, or just want to experience Bondi like a local. Great location, great value, amazing atmosphere. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Wake Up! Bondi Beach to anyone visiting Sydney.

L'enregistrement s'est très bien passé. Je suis sortie dîner et, à mon retour, j'ai ouvert la porte et découvert le cadre et la fenêtre complètement brisés, ainsi que mes affaires éparpillées partout. Je me suis précipitée à la réception pour prévenir la personne à l'accueil, mais on m'a dit qu'il y avait eu une panne de courant de 3 heures au motel et qu'ils étaient désolés 😡 J'ai dû demander au réceptionniste de me donner une autre chambre, ce qu'il a fait. Il est ensuite venu jeter un œil et m'a dit de me prévenir s'il manquait quelque chose, puis il est parti. J'ai commencé à récupérer mes affaires et j'ai découvert que ma montre TAG Heuer avait été volée. J'ai donc occupé la chambre 101 au lieu de la 107, incapable de dormir, pensant que j'allais me faire cambrioler une deuxième fois. Au moment de quitter l'hôtel, j'ai informé un autre réceptionniste que ma montre avait été volée. Il m'a dit : « Nous sommes vraiment désolés, mais je vais contacter la direction pour voir ce que nous pouvons vous proposer. » Il était 10 h ce matin et je n'ai eu aucune nouvelle de la direction du motel 🤷♂️ Absolument dégoûté.

Overall a good 3 night stay at the Hermitage. Large spacious room, fairly comfortable bed/bedding. Don’t know about aircon/heating as it was not used during our stay. Unfortunately it is not shown in the online pictures that the hotel is surrounded by commercial facilities on 3 sides and a highway on the 4th. Great to have a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities as well as a toaster (as breakfast is not offered at the hotel). Unfortunately, though you can cook toast there were no plates or knives supplied to put any butter or spreads on it. The restaurant meal was great, service was really good, wine list small (inexpensive) but fine. The whole experience was let down by our final night when we ordered in-house meals from the restaurant at 7.30 and when we called at 9pm to enquire how much longer they would be we were informed our order had been lost. Went to sleep hungry. Attitude over this issue was abysmal.

Für eine Nacht in Ordnung. Das Hotel befindet sich über dem Pub, der auch ab nachmittags sehr gut besucht ist. Es gibt dort sonntags auch Livemusik bis ca 21 Uhr abends. Alles vollkommen in Ordnung, wenn man nicht gerade Zimmer 10 neben der Waschmaschine/Trockner hat und neben der Lüftung schläft. Auch wenn ab 21 Uhr trocknen und waschen nicht erlaubt ist,störte es sehr. Die Hotelzimmer gehen nach hinten raus,so hat man morgens leider ebenso den Lärm der Ladezone vom Supermarkt. Positiv war,dass das Zimmer in einem modernen Zustand war und die Mitarbeiter alle sehr nett waren. Der Strand ist fußläufig zehn Minuten entfernt.

Is in good location, close to the train and Newtown main road and has good and clean kitchen.

The staff are friendly and helpful. If you run into any trouble, even the other guests will jump in to help you out. The showers and toilets are perfectly fine. Of course, it’s not as spotless as a luxury hotel, but the staff clean thoroughly every morning and evening, which leaves a very good impression. One time, I accidentally put coins for the dryer into the laundry machine. When I asked the staff about it, they kindly covered the cost without showing the slightest annoyance. The money I put into the laundry machine couldn’t be retrieved, but they just laughed and said, “Well, someone’s got a free laundry then,” which really made me feel relieved. There are many female guests as well, so I’d recommend this place to anyone, regardless of gender.

Une auberge pour routards qui ne sont pas pressés et qui ne sont pas très efficaces. L'enregistrement a été compliqué (il a fallu des heures pour obtenir une place). Il n'y a qu'un seul lavabo, ce qui complique la vaisselle, et l'attente pour les sanitaires est interminable car ils sont toujours occupés. Le reste est acceptable ; la nourriture est très bonne et le personnel est très poli, même s'ils travaillent à distance, à des milliers de kilomètres. Il leur faudrait un responsable sur place. Je ne sais pas ce qui se passerait en cas de problème grave. L'auberge est mal située, loin de tout, mais bien desservie par le bus 389. Il faut compter au moins 30 minutes de marche pour rejoindre le centre-ville, en évitant le parking du Novotel… Bref… acceptable.

La capsule était propre et fonctionnelle. J'ai eu peur au début mais c'est finalement pas trop mal. Je préfère une capsule qu'une chambre partagée a plusieurs. L'emplacement est super en face de HayMarket. Petite déception pour les WC et douches très petites., encore plus petite que la capsule elle même. Suffisant pour 2 nuits. Je n'y resterai cependant pas une semaine entière.

Pros: Hotel located near bus stop. And there is a public bus direct from Sydney airport to the hotel. Just walk a bit. So cheaper than using the train. Toilet clean, room was big. Worth every penny. Cons: the hotel reception is inside a bar, so as Muslim, I don't feel comfortable going inside a bar to check in. But once you get the room key, you can use alternative entrance which is from 'something like fire exit door' Which have many stairs, but better for me than going inside a bar. Overall 👍👍👍
