One of the better (if not the best) hotel chains I’ve stayed at in Taiwan. I’ve visited Taiwan about 10 times and stayed here for 2 nights, and overall I was very satisfied with the experience. They provide free bicycles (3 hours limit), which is useful for getting around Hualien. Breakfast has a good spread, and there are complimentary ice cream and drinks available in the lobby around the clock. We didn’t realise they also offer late-night supper from 7pm to 9pm, which was honestly as good as a proper dinner buffet, with a good mix of Western and Chinese dishes and even live entertainment. The room was spacious and well maintained, with no hygiene concerns. Shower water pressure was good. Noise levels were generally fine, though louder sounds like furniture movement could occasionally be heard. The hotel is conveniently located near a convenience store, restaurants, KTV, and a cinema, and it’s about a 10-minute walk from the station. You can also cycle to the night market within 15 minutes, making it super easy to get around the main area without getting a taxi. Overall, a very good stay and very good value for money. While a gym would be nice, I would definitely consider staying at other branches on future trips.

Received email from hotel staff (Juan) that they could arrange pick-up service for us if we are arriving via Hualien Train Station. They provide free transfer back to Hualien train station as well after check-out. Grateful for the shuttle service otherwise I would need to take a taxi. By going the extra mile, they offered to send my mom and myself to the bus stop nearby for going to xincheng old street. Every staff member is friendly and very helpful. Seaview room is excellent and we enjoyed the sound of the waves from our bed! Room is clean and brightly illuminated. Breakfast variety is good. They have bicycle for hotel guests too! There’s a convenience store (Family Mart) nearby, few restaurants too, but closed on Tuesday mostly. Overall I had a great stay and will definitely return if I come to Hualien again.

A Scenic Stay with a Convenient Catch My stay at Hotelday Hualien was a bit of a mixed bag. It has some genuinely charming touches and a great view, but its location and certain amenities require some adjustment. Location & Transportation: The hotel is about a 5-minute walk from the Hualien Train Station, which is fantastic if you're arriving by rail. However, I soon realized that the train station is not the city center. The main downtown area is a significant distance away—about a 40-minute walk. This means you'll either need to plan for long walks or rely on taxis and buses to get to the main dining and night market areas. It's not a deal-breaker, but it's something to be aware of. The Room: The room itself was a highlight. It was spacious and comfortable, providing a relaxing retreat after a day of exploring. The best feature was the large window that faced the train station, with a stunning backdrop of the mountains. It was incredibly scenic and made the room feel bright and open. While the room was comfortable, I did notice that the overall design and some of the furniture felt a bit dated. It's clean and functional, but don't expect a super modern aesthetic. Amenities & Service: This is where the experience was a bit uneven. The gym was quite disappointing. It only had a stationary bicycle and a treadmill. There were no weights, no multi-gym, nothing for anyone hoping for even a basic strength workout. It felt more like an afterthought than a proper facility. On the other hand, the service had some truly thoughtful highlights. When we asked for ice, the hotel staff kindly delivered some to our room, which was a nice touch. The Special Touch: The most memorable part of the stay was a small, heartwarming gesture. The hotel provided us with complimentary postcards. The unique part? They offered to mail them for us, but not right away. They will send them exactly one year later. It's a lovely idea—a little time capsule from your trip that arrives as a surprise in the future. Overall: Hotelday Hualien offers spacious, comfortable rooms with beautiful mountain views, and its proximity to the train station is a plus for travelers. The thoughtful service, like the ice delivery and the ”postcard to your future self” program, adds a warm, personal touch. However, the distance from the city center and the very basic gym are drawbacks. It's a solid choice for a comfortable night's sleep near the station, especially if you appreciate sentimental gestures, but be prepared for the travel time to the main attractions.

มาพักที่นี่ที่ฮวาเหลียนหนึ่งคืน โรงแรมดีมากๆเลยค่ะ ตรงโรงแรมlakeshore มันจะมีสามโรงแรมย่อย ซึ่งอันนี้อยู่ตึกข้างๆ กับโซนหลักที่มีแฟซิลิตี้ แต่เราสามารถใช้เเฟซิลิตี้ของโรงแรมหลักได้เลยไม่ต่างกัน ส่วนเซอร์วิสนั้นจะเป็นเซฟเซอร์วิสซึ่งเร็วเเละก็สะดวกสบายมากค่ะ ห้องดีมากกว้างมากที่สำคัญคือเตียงนุ่มมากนุ่มที่สุดเท่าที่เคยพักโรงแรมมาเลย ส่วนร้านอาหารของโรงแรมราคาสูง แต่อาหารก็พอใช้ได้เลยค่ะ ส่วนสระว่ายน้ำก็ดีมากๆมีออนเซ็นเล็กๆ เเล้วก็ซาวน่า แล้วเดินไปแค่ 3 นาทีจากโรงเเรมก็จะถึงทะเลเลยค่ะ เยี่ยมมากๆ🥹👍🏻

Good hotel with pretty comprehensive facilities at a great location. Location wise, it's highly convenient as it's very near hualien train station and you only get to cross one traffic light to go to the hotel. Room wise, the room is pretty spacious and the bed is comfortable. The shower is also good with good water pressure and heats up quickly. Only drawback is that the quality of the breakfast is just average, as I tried better in kindness hotel and holiday inn express. Nevertheless, it's overall an enjoyable stay at this hotel that I would recommend to others.

La location est un peu centrale et sur la promenade, mais pas très proche de la gare ou de la frontière. Environ 15 minutes à l'avant-front. Options alimentaires : il y a quelques restaurants locaux à proximité de la promenade, y compris un magasin de noodles, un donburi tempura et un endroit frit de mer - tout le long de la promenade. Les chambres sont spacieuses et propres, très nouvelle rénovation (à partir de 2025, semble 2023-2024), pas de réfrigérateur dans la chambre (sur le premier étage seulement), mais il y a une chaudière. Globalement, il a été très utile pour la localisation et la qualité, et surtout pour la taille de la chambre. Le seul désavantage - facile à réparer - était les serviettes. Il n'y avait pas de serviettes de salle de bain de taille appropriée sur mon séjour en mai 2025. Les serviettes de petite taille sont assez insuffisantes pour la douche.

We stayed at Lishiuan International Hotel during our visit to Hualien and had a pleasant experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. One thoughtful feature for Muslim travelers was the provision of Qibla direction information in the room. The bathroom was equipped with an automatic bidet, which added extra convenience. The hotel is in a quiet and peaceful area, perfect for a relaxing stay. A 7-Eleven is located directly opposite the hotel, making it easy to buy snacks and essentials. The hotel is also conveniently close to the jetty for whale-watching activities. We included breakfast during our stay. While Muslim-friendly options were limited, we were able to enjoy bread and fresh vegetable salad. During our stay in Hualien, we also found a Pakistani restaurant serving halal food, and the meals were delicious and satisfying.

I stayed here for a few days and can only recommend it! The train and bus stations are just a few steps away, and the city center is within walking distance. The room was spacious and comfortable, with many thoughtful touches such as free coffee, snacks, and even ice cream!

J'ai séjourné ici plusieurs fois. Il se trouve à côté du grand magasin d'Extrême-Orient. C'est un bon endroit pour faire du shopping le soir. Le stationnement sur les routes environnantes est également très pratique. Il se trouve à 5 minutes en voiture de Zhenggong Baozi et de Miaokou. Thé noir. J'aimerais séjourner à nouveau dans cet hôtel la prochaine fois. À 20 minutes en voiture se trouve le plus beau café Starbucks de Taiwan, qui vaut le détour.
