UUtilisateur anonymeThe hostel is a welcome respite from the chaos of Cairo. Note that there are two floors, 1 and 4, but are connected by a vintage elevator as well as a stairwell. Breakfast provided each day was sincerely appreciated and delicious, made fresh for each person. The beds are comfortable and equipped with a small light and a power outlet to charge your devices. There is a common area to hang out with others and meet people. Some of the fittings are broken in the bathrooms but you will get by fine.

IImpulsive TravellerL'emplacement est situé au centre-ville près du Musée égyptien. Plusieurs équipements dans les 10 minutes à pied. Le célèbre Koshary Abu Tarek est à 6 minutes à pied. Les chambres sont bien entretenues. Il y a un personnel à la réception 24/7. Les hôtes de toutes les âges et de toutes les nationalités peuvent être hébergés.
Proposition d'amélioration:
1. Les serviettes doivent être délivrées à l'arrivée et non à la demande.
2. Le lift doit être mis à niveau comme je l'ai jamais été entré à l'intérieur quand il y a un voyage d'énergie. Et souvent le lift n'a pas fonctionné parce que la porte de l'ascenseur n'était pas fermée correctement. Entrez que le lift n'est pas géré par votre auberge. Veuillez le demander au propriétaire du bâtiment car il n'est pas acceptable.
3. Considérez le système centralisé de climatisation.

IInvitéL'environnement de l'hôtel est assez bon. Il y a un toit avec vue sur la ville. L'emplacement est également bon. Il est au centre-ville et a des endroits très pratiques pour manger. Il est très approprié pour se promener en ville. Il y a toujours de l'eau chaude dans la chambre ! ! Frappez le point ! De nombreux logements au Caire font bouillir de l'eau et il faut attendre longtemps pour que la personne précédente l'utilise, mais ce n'est pas le cas chez eux. La seule chose qui me manquait, c'est que les couvertures dans la chambre n'avaient pas l'air très propres... Le gars de la réception a également fourni un très bon service. Mon ami a même appelé un Uber pour son vol tôt le matin.

IInvitéVraiment, un endroit magnifique , à 5 min même pas à pieds de la station de métro qui deserve tout Le Caire , très bien situé au centre du Caire commerce et café à proximité, puis la cambre été climatisé et propre , une très belle terrasse aussi .
Concernant le personnel ils étaient tous au top , l’accueil est chaleureux , j’y reviendrai sans doute un jour à cette établissement.

The facility is okay - The place is quite old but clean.
The hotel staff here are very nice especially Mr Anas he was quite energetic and really looking forward to service + friendly

** note** for someone who cannot sleep with the noise - the hotel is quite close to the Egyptian Street which is always honking the horn.
Solution ** ust bring an earplug ( The one that you would receive on in airplane ) and everything's gonna be fine
In conclusion this hotel is reasonably priced for this quality. if you don't expect for something luxury but friendly , This hotel could be your choice

UUtilisateur anonymeIn general, it is not bad for me to stay in a single room with a common bathroom for 10 nights.
Above all, I would like to express my gratitude to the staff's efforts to manage the City Hostel clean which is too old and out fashioned building.
* Location & Transportation
Without noise, it is the best location to stay. It is located at 2 2-minute walk distance from Attaba subway station that connects to the Ramsis Railway Station and the Egypt Museum, only 1~3 stops away, charging 6 EGP per way. Of course, you can go to both by walk in 20 minutes. It means you can also enjoy the Nile riverside which is close to the museum.
And it is a 2-minute walk distance from the Attaba market which is the biggest public market in Cairo and so many locals visit to buy their livelihoods stuff at a cheap price.
In addition, you can also walk to the Al Azhar Mosque and Khan El-Khalili traditional market in 30 minutes, and St. Marc Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in AL Azbakeya in 10 minutes
Two problems I experienced are firstly the noi⁹sy from 8 am to 3 am outside the building due to market area and cars' horns. It took 3 days for me to adapt it. Any room in the hostel cannot escape it without changing the windows to soundproof ones. If you are sensitive to sound, it is better to find other lodges in a residential area or modernized ones.
Secondly, its location on the Uber taxi map and other maps is not accurate, so drivers have some problems in finding the city hostel. I have to meet them in front of the KFC next to the Attaba subway station. The signboard of the hotel is too small to recognize it.
* Building and room conditions
Like many other buildings in Cairo, the hostel building is old and shabby. The interior design and facilities are also outdated. However, the staff manages it so clean, particularly a common toilet and shower room.
It is quite convenient a washstand in each room.
However, it is bad there is no electronic kettle to boil water in a room or a common space. I could not enjoy my tea or coffee time at any time. I have to ask for hot drink water every morning when receiving breakfast, and store it in my tumbler.
It will be better to provide a tea or coffee service area in the hostel.
* Cleanness & Safety
Cleanness and safety are very good. I have no issue with this.
* Services
There is no basic service that most guesthouses provide in general: toilet paper and drink water.
Wifi is too weak to use the internet.
Other services like laundry are satisfied.
* Others
During my stay, I couldn't enjoy having an exchange time with other travelers. I think it is because there is no reason to stay in a common space where only sofas and a table are. Largely guesthouse provides a commonplace where guests enjoy better the internet or drinks including tea or coffee and foods, which makes guests meet each other naturally and structurally.
In conclusion, if the hostel provides basic services like toilet paper and commonplace with drink water and electronic kettles, it will be much better.
And it is necessary to change its signboard so that is more recognizable.
Except issues I mentioned above, it is a very good budget lodge.

IInvitéWhen we arrived, it was a little difficult to find the building, because there was no sign of Lucky Hostel in the lobby. However a very persistent man outside, insisted that the building with sign “El otel”, is the correct building. We trust him and we entered. Another problem, it looked like to use the elevator to 4th floor, we must have access card. We wait for about 5 minutes and fortunately there was a man came down, and we asked his help to tap on the elevator using his card. Other than that, my husband & I were happy to stay in this hostel. Our room was so big and with sofa too!! Staff were very kind and helpful. Breakfast was good. Hot shower was very pleasant in cold morning. And we were very happy that the staff allow us to put our luggage while we were away to Luxor. We stay for total of 4 nights and we were allowed again to put our luggage while we went shopping, because our flight was in the middle of the night.

IInvitéExcellent location near Tahrir Square / Egyptian Museum and Sadat Metro Station. Staff were excellent in particular the manager Mr Ahmed receptionist Alaa and house keeping Azze. Breakfast was good. 7 floors reception and communal lounge on top floor. Whilst we were there I was admitted to hospital they checked up on me daily via my wife and friend who was also staying at the hotel. Warm welcome back when I recovered.
About 20 to 30 minute car journey to GEM and the Giza Plateau / Pyramids and Sphinx.
About 45 minutes to an hour drive to both Sphinx and Cairo Airports

Le personnel est aimable et professionnel, propose une consigne à bagages gratuite et vous invite à vous détendre dans le hall après votre départ. L'hôtel se trouve à quelques pas de la place Jiefang, avec de nombreux snacks à proximité. La promenade dans la vieille ville en soirée est une expérience rafraîchissante.
