Palace Elisabeth, Hvar Heritage Hotel

Hvar島上最高級的酒店，房間大小適中，海景房正對港口，可以看着船衹來來去去。酒店旁邊非常多餐廳，但晚上依然非常安靜 出酒店大門右轉，就有好幾間網紅餐廳，也有能通往山頂城堡的小路，酒店旁邊走路3分鐘就有小超商，生活機能方便 船靠岸，酒店都會安排接駁車協助搬運行李，一下船尋找拿着酒店牌子的酒店人員就對了

Do not look anywhere else!!! This was our favorite hotel out of our whole Croatia trip! We came during low season so it was relatively quiet but we liked it a lot. I am sad I forgot to ask for our concierge’s name as he was super helpful and literally helped us thru our 2 nights in Hvar! We wanted to do a boat tour to the blue/ green caves but it was closed due to the weather so he suggested a private tour around the island for us and we had so much fun! The restaurants he suggested were excellent and he was so patient as I had a million questions since I was trying to find things to do. Everyone at the hotel made you feel very welcoming, breakfast was included and it was super nice as well. Our waiter came by and offered us some fresh off the oven croissant and that was delicious!! We were so glad he came by! Make sure you sit outside for the view! We also used the Spa and it was quiet nice also. I wish the pool gets heated up more as it was a bit too cold to swim in at this time of the year. I also love their toiletries and I am very picky with that. Plus they have heated floors in the bathroom!! Our room was spotless and location of the hotel is great! If you come from the ferry, make sure you look out for the hotel sign and they will bring your luggages on the buggy for you. We can’t wait to come back to Hvar and stay at Palace Elisabeth again when we are back! Highly recommended!!!

Wow, what a fantastic hotel. The property and rooms were gorgeous, the food incredible, but more than anything, the lovely staff makes this an A+ hotel. We had lovely conversations with the servers in the restaurant each morning, the front desk staff was so friendly and accommodating, and I have never had a better concierge experience than what Mislav provided. From the first night we arrived, he steered us away from some of our original plans and towards much better suggestions. Through Mislav, we had a couple of our favorite meals and without a doubt one of our favorite experiences out of our 2 weeks in Croatia, renting a car and venturing to the other side of the island, and visiting the incredible Marijan winery. He took the time to provide maps and handwritten notes on where to stop, where to eat, and which beaches were best for swimming. He even wrote us notes for where to visit in Dubrovnik, a city we weren't visiting but plan to in the future. He made our experience so special and my husband can't thank Mislav and the entire Palace Elisabeth staff enough for a perfect stay in a perfect city.

The hotel can be found a short 3-minute stroll from the port, where a plethora of restaurants and bars await. Upon arrival, the hotel offers a convenient service of collecting your luggage from the boat and delivering it straight to your room for check-in. Do not fret about any potential noise disturbances, as our soundproof windows effectively block out any unwanted commotion throughout the night. Our room, which overlooked the scenic square, was positioned towards the port side and boasted stunning views. Moreover, the complimentary breakfast provided was undoubtedly one of the best we have had in a long while. While the gym may be compact, it suffices for a quick workout, and the indoor swimming pool is conveniently located alongside sun loungers. However, the most outstanding feature of this hotel is undoubtedly the exceptional personnel. They exude a genuine love for their jobs, which is most evident in their interactions with guests. Our stay was one of the best hotel experiences my spouse and I have had in some time. We most definitely plan on returning and would like to express our gratitude to everyone at the hotel for making our stay so memorable.

Palace Elisabeth is a gem of a property. The location, staff, ambiance, attention to detail, amazing included breakfast, luxurious but chill vibe are all top notch. My only complaint is the pool situation. There is a lovely sun deck but the pool is completely covered. This is a design flaw in my opinion. It would have been nice to have a nice relaxing day poolside but this wasn’t really an option. In hindsight it worked out well because we explored more of Hvar. The hotel is so amazing that it’s still worthy of my 5 star review but I think it’s something future guests should be aware of.

If you are considering bringing a car to Hvar, my strong recommendation is —— do not! Unless of course you intend exploring extensively the rest of the island of Hvar. If you bring your car you have to take the car ferry to Stari Grad about a 30 minute drive to the town of Hvar. More importantly you can’t get to the Palace Elisabeth. You must go to a public parking facility, call the hotel and they will send a golf cart to pick up the luggage and you will have to make it on foot to the hotel. Unfortunately, the hotel does not pro-actively communicate this. We did not know any of this and relied on our GPS, which sent us around and around. The hotel is perfectly located and truly very beautiful and well appointed. The renovation of this historical buildng is exquisite and pays great tribute to its history. Staff is friendly and well meaning. Breakfast on the terrace is outstanding. Hvar is very active, especially at night and noise penetration especially at night is the downside to the hotel being at the center of it all.

The hotel was beautiful as was our room. However very little practical thought went into designing the rooms around guests with much more than a backpack. The bathroom, while sleek and new, had a designer who assumed you would not arrive with toiletries. There was no space to put anything except under the sink which was difficult to access with a towel hanging in front of it. Aside from not well thought out space planning, the staff was friendly (a bit stiff sometimes), the breakfasts were highlights of the day, and the public spaces were all beautiful. I’d recommend the hotel but I would also do more research on other options.
