Avis : Karuizawa Marriott Hotel

Breakfast is good with lots of choices. Staff are nice and helpful. Drive car to there is better.

Room is good but service can be improved. First of all I’m gold member but the hotel didn’t allow me to early check in when I arrived at hotel at noon time. Secondly, they charge extra for basic amenities like shower cap. Last but not least, a brand new non-opened cup noodle of mine was missing after room cleaning…

Restaurants should have a capacity to accommodate their checked-in customers.

Excellent service from reception. Very convenient to go to station by hotel shuttle service. Onsen in your room is a must for guests

No usb port for electronic devices Old model of TV which unable to mirror cell phone image on it But the services is excellent

Hotel has 2 buildings but they are not connected. I need to walked to other building for the Onsen, even it only takes about 1-2 minutes but it is freezing during winter.

Stunning most beautiful time here ! Staff were great help & friendly . Shuttle service on time . Gorgeous rooms & comfortable bedding & absolutely clean . Wonderful experience.

Pros: 1. The room is very spacious, with a tatami bed for the third person. It was clean and well-equipped. 2. Convenient and free parking right outside the hotel entrance, although spaces are first-come, first-served. 3. Complimentary rental of umbrellas. 4. The private onsen was enjoyable, especially considering the public onsen at the adjacent building is unsheltered (hence the need for umbrellas). 5. Excellent location near Karuizawa Prince Shopping Plaza and Kyu-Karuizawa Main Street, providing easy access to numerous local shops and eateries. Cons: 1. The breakfast was quite disappointing considering that this is a 4-star hotel and the other aspects are good. The bread was extremely hard and difficult to tear, and did not seem fresh. The overall variety of food was limited and not particularly appealing.

With a rental this hotel is very convenient to anywhere at Karuizawa. 10 mins to the shopping outlets and sightseeing spots.

A little bit off, if without a car. Rooms are spacious but a little aged. Food is acceptable, staff is very friendly and helpful. A small gym and a really nice public bath for hotel guests.

Very easy access from Route 18. Private bath in the room was so nice and enjoyed a lot, even though, big Onsen facility at the main building can be used. Foods and buffet were also so great. It was really good opportunity for my personal Memorial Day.

We had a wonderful stay in Karuizawa, with Marriot providing a good environment for our rest overnight. The hotel room is quite spacious though a bit old style. Short driving distance to all tourist spots nearby! The car park is good and was free! Will definitely come back again!

Cozy place and Excellence Local Breakfast

The hotel is surprisingly spacious. The facilities and environment are excellent. I am most impressed by their staff - good hospitality and friendly to introduce sightseeing spots to us. Food for dinner and breakfast are delicious. I am very impressed and will come again next time.
