Excellent attention to detail. Reasonable size room which was clean, tastefully furnished and comfortable. Phil and Helen were very welcoming, friendly and provided excellent breakfasts which were always freshly cooked. We would certainly not hesitate to recommend Hermiston and would revisit.

Just come back after 4 nights here and we were made very welcome, very much a home from home experience. Everything about the accommodation is first class and we would not hesitate to recommend staying at the Hermiston Guest House in a lovely village in Cumbria.

3 night stay at this beautiful house lovely warm welcome from Helen and Phil room spotless view looking on to their beautiful garden and fells lovely little extra outside terrace for all guests where a cup of tea was most welcomed on arrival very thoughtful touches through out our stay plenty of choices for breakfast and all very tasty would highly recommend this beautiful Guest House

Facilities are excellent. Breakfasts were excellent. The major stars of this lodging were the host and hostess. They bent over backwards to assist us with various questions and even with car trouble. The small library in the Commons room is suburb. Very highly recommended.

We stayed for a week and had a very nice comfortable clean room with plenty of facilities. Phil and Helen were wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was very good and cooked to order with plenty of options. There was plenty of off road parking, and a bus stop nearby to Keswick and other destinations. There are plenty of places to eat nearby. Phil has a lot of knowledge of places to visit. We would recommend Hermiston Guest house in Braithwaite.

Phil welcomed us at the start of our visit and ushered us in to our charming apartment on the ground floor which was appreciated by my disabled husband. Then after a delightful welcoming tea and shortbread sojourn in the sitting room we spent a comfortable night followed by a bespoke breakfast and convivial company which well set us up for a tour of Keswick. We recommend Hermiston Guest House to stay in the Central Lake District and will return in the immortal words of the US General.

Conveniently situated just outside Keswick, a gem of a guesthouse. Spotlessly clean, comfortable rooms, tastefully decorated throughout, with a comfortable guest lounge. Delicious, prepared to order breakfast. Host also provides landscape photography workshop.

This was our third visit, and we will definitely be back again. Phil and Helen are perfect hosts. The breakfast is amazing, the rooms are spotless, and they do all they can to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. It really is a pleasure to stay with them.

Another great stay with Phil and Helen at the Hermiston Guest House. We have been a number of times and always receive a very warm welcome and great hospitality. The rooms are very comfortable and the breakfast tasty. It's a great location for visiting the northern lakes and attractions. We'll certainly be going again.
