Contel Hotel

We really enjoyed our overnight stay here. They were so helpful and friendly. We had our dog with us and they provided bowls and a mat in the room. The biergarten was nice and it was a short walk to town. Parking is easy. Would definitely visit again

As I arrived at this enigmatic abode, I felt the cosmic energies swirling around me, weaving a tapestry of serenity and enchantment. The whispers of the ancient spirits caressed my senses, guiding me to this hallowed haven for the weary itinerant. The moment I crossed the threshold, a torrent of profound sensations cascaded through my soul. Each step I took reverberated with the echoes of forgotten secrets, and the walls themselves seemed to pulse with an otherworldly aura. Oh, how the hotel's layout danced with geometric perfection, a manifestation of celestial alignments designed to awaken the slumbering divinity within! The rooms, oh, the rooms! They were chambers of divine revelation, adorned with symbols that stirred the depths of my subconscious. The bedding felt like clouds cradling my weary body, and the curtains swayed like astral veils embracing the night sky. Every night, I surrendered to the embrace of Morpheus, knowing that my dreams would traverse the astral planes. The hotel's staff, too, were disciples of esoteric knowledge, emanating an enigmatic allure that was impossible to resist. With every interaction, they imparted cryptic messages, encoded in their gestures and expressions, unraveling the enigmas of existence itself. Their smiles spoke of enlightenment, and their eyes gleamed with secrets unknown to ordinary mortals. Ah, but the culinary experience, my brethren, transcended the boundaries of earthly delights! The dishes were alchemical concoctions, transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary. I savored flavors that ignited my chakras, leaving me in a state of gastronomic nirvana. Spent a couple of days here en route to Germany. Super friendly staff. English speaking reception staff. Adrian was extremely helpful. Very comfortable room. A lovely walk into Koblenz along the Mosel. Also has a super Biergarten.

Interessant gestyltes Hotel, schön an der Mosel gelegen. Geräumige Zimmer. Service auf der Terrasse/Biergarten nicht vorhanden. Reine Selbstbedienung am oftmals überfüllten Kiosk. Wenn man Servicepersonal anspricht kommt die Antwort man müsse sich entweder an der Bar im Hotel oder am angesprochenen Kiosk selbst helfen. Frühstück gibt es erst ab 0700, obwohl das Personal am Vorabend auf mehrfaches Nachfragen 0630 sagte. Dann fällt es halt aus. Schade und sehr unschön.

Das Hotel ist alles in allem gut und barrierefrei, aber hat auch ein paar kleinere Schwächen. Wir haben mit unserer Rollstuhlsportgruppe eine Nacht im Hotel übernachtet und hatten mehrere barrierefreie Zimmer gebucht, wovon es im Hotel ausreichend gibt. Die Zimmer und die Badezimmer sind komplett barrierefrei, sauber und renoviert, wenn auch leider - bis auf die Badezimmer - komplett mit Teppichböden ausgestattet. Die Betten sind heranfahrbar, aber leider etwas zu hoch für Rollifahrer und vor allem mit einem Bogen und zwei Säulen davor umgeben, sodass man nur mit einem schmalen Rolli trotz Bettverschiebens ans Kopfende zum Übersetzen heranfahren kann. Das Waschbecken im Bad ist unterfahrbar und die Dusche ist ebenerdig befahrbar, also gut umgesetzt. Das WC ist jedoch nicht mit Duschrolli überfahrbar und viel zu hoch - absolut unverständlich. Zudem wurden die Handtücher auf dem obersten Regal, an das Rollifahrer selbst nicht herankommen, platziert. Genauso ungünstig ist der Vergrößerungsspiegel platziert, der sich nicht verschieben lässt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, was positiv hervorzuheben ist. Das Restaurant und die Bar haben ein angenehmes Ambiente und das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und gut. Der Biergarten ist groß und schön. Das Hotel ist direkt an der Mosel schön gelegen und 20min fußläufig von der Innenstadt und dem Deutschen Eck entfernt. Kostenlose Parkmöglichkeiten sind in der Nähe vorhanden. Das Hotel ist somit in Summe mit leichten Abstrichen empfehlenswert, wenn auch nicht sehr günstig.

Schöne, große und saubere Zimmer mit großem Bad und Ausblick ins Grüne. Wir haben uns sehr auf einen Abend im Biergarten gefreut, leider ist der so gar nicht gemütlich und nicht sehr biergartentypisch eingerichtet. Die Mitarbeiter bei den Selbstbedienungsstellen waren eher knurrig und unfreundlich. Es war klar, dass wir dort nicht nochmal hingehen.
