Sehr herzliche Inhaber. Wir hatten einen der einfachen Bungalows. Alles etwas in die Jahre gekommen und könnte mal überholt werden.

La première chose que l’on vous demande à l’arrivée c’est votre carte de crédit et votre passeport sans vous dire bonjour. Le prix d’un bungalow par jour est d’environ 45€ avec air conditionné. Nous apprenons par hasard qu’il n’y aura pas d’électricité pendant 12 heures, donc pas d’air conditionné alors qu’il fait très très chaud …. Comme il n’y a plus d’eau dans les cuves ni d’électricité pour les remplir, pas de possibilité de se rafraîchir ni de se doucher non plus La seule réponse est « Sorry » avec un grand sourire, car on vous a déjà encaissé votre argent, c’est ce qui compte ici !

Heerlijke accomodatie met een super gastvrouw en op loopafstand van het strand. Tijdens de coronaperiode hebben ze al het geld gebruikt om de huisjes en de tuin bij te houden. Helaas, en dat is te zien, is dit niet bij iedereen op het eiland gelukt. Er is sprake van veel spookaccomodaties. Zoek je rust en het pure Thailand, dan is dit zeker een aanrader!

Unos bungalows bastante sencillos, pero limpios, un desayuno bastante exiguo, y unos masajes excelentes. Por lo demás, una opción es alquilarte una moto e ir a cenar a algún sitio más alejado de la isla, o simplemente alquilarte un kayak y visitar la cueva y la playa de Sabai durante el día.

Unassuming little bungalow, but very comfortable. By the time we got here, I was ready to relax and the atmosphere here is perfect for that. I've spent more time just sitting than ever before. Sitting on the porch, sitting on the beach and even just sitting at a restaurant nursing a glass of lemon iced tea. Lots of staff and very friendly.

Only a short walk from Mookies to Farang Beach, a truly tropical paradise....The bungalows at Mookies were excellent, clean and very comfortable beds. The fridge is a very nice touch. The food was quick and fast and very tasty. Of course you have other restaurants nearby if you can possibly tire of Wan and her crews offering. Nick her husband was always ready to give some advice and have a good story to share. All in all, good prices for both bungalows and food and drink.

It really feels least effort was put into the running of this establishment. The rooms look like backpacker hovels but cost more than a decent place you could get in Bangkok. The food is ridiculously bad, the rooms are sp****ly furnished and the facilities in the ad on Booking are exaggerated. I guess it's about 15 years too late for the whole island. The only benefit for staying here is it's a 5 minute, really dusty, dirty walk to the best beach on the island. Barring this, the bosses of this place have some how lost their minds on what they think their rooms are worth - it should be around 300-500 baht IMO. I guess they'll just keep on pushing their least effort until nobody wants to book rooms anymore.

Nice stay at Mookies but found the bungalow a little small and bathroom a bit basic. Having said that it was very clean and bed was fairly comfortable plus we had air conditioning. Breakfast was good and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Certainly ok for a few days and well located for Charlie Beach. Seemed to cater well for families, couples and solo travellers. Wi-Fi available but only in the restaurant area.

Everything you’ve read is true. This island is peaceful and quiet. It also happens to be gorgeous, vibrant, teaming with life and, for myself, a wonderful place to recover and recharge. Waan is warm and kind. She organized excursions for us (the emerald cave is honestly one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen!), made sure we had everything we needed and kept our bellies full with delicious Thai food. Her son is a cutie pie. 🥰 The bungalows themselves are kept VERY clean. They are only a 5 minute walk from Charlie beach- which itself is sublime. The water clear and warm. The only rub is that garbage collection only comes to the island 3 times monthly. However, that said, when they do collect, it restores the beach to its well deserved glory. I was here after 911 and it honestly hasn’t changed that much. I hope you enjoy yourselves here!
