Aparthotel Lumen

This hotel is very nice. Rooms are clean and well prepared for new guests. The staff is very helpful and friendly. If you have your own car it is a great place to stay. The only disadvantage is the location. Hotel is located on the city’s boundaries and around 20 minutes by a car to the center so prepare for high prices of taxi service.

We stayed here as it was a last minute change of plan so it was the closest hotel in our budget to both Energylandia and also the city centre that still had a family room available. Looked like a relatively new or renovated property. All modern fittings and fixtures. small reception with a manned desk at all times. No English spoken at all which really surprised me as I have stayed in hotels in many continents and always had a reception that spoke some English. Infact I reverted to speaking my poor czech as this was understood more than my native English (It wasnt a problem of course , Only an observation :) The rooms are very clean, comfortable and well stocked with towels ect. The location is close to the road but its quiet or at least was in room 201. A spacious two room family setup with two double beds. Very comfortable and warm room. The other room had a fan in it for if it was too hot. Plenty of Polish TV channels where some you could here the original English under the dubbing so no issues there :) Breakfast on the first day was great, very well stocked. Basic continental with lots of choice. dinning area was a nice large room with modern furniture and lots of space between tables. The second morning at breakfast was the complete opposite... TERRIBLE !! admittedly we arrived at 9am for breakfast instead of 8am the day before but breakfast is from 7 - 10. Almost nothing to eat and the waitress just seemed very relaxed by it all. Not even bread. When she did bring food out it took in total about 20 minutes before one could make a proper breakfast. This they need to sort out as the guest should never be inconvenienced regardless of what the problem is....
