Very good stay with perfect location. A walk behind the hotel is the bars and restaurants district of Kyoto - you can find a lot of speakeasies and enjoy nights of drinking cocktails and music. It is also just a 5-10 minutes walk to the station which connects to the various attractions in Kyoto - like Fushimi Inari Shrine, and Arashiyama Bamboo Forest. We went during New Year’s Day - and although some shops are closed but bars are open and the hotel reception has a list of restaurants which are open as well and is helpful in letting us know. The room ( we picked one of the artist’s room) and it is wonderful. It is big and spacious by Japanese standard with very large bathroom , separate bathtub and toilet and large space. The facade of the room is also a clean, minimalist look with the detailed white and black cups down. We really enjoyed the room and the space. Breakfast is complimentary and there is a good selection of toasts. One of us is vegetarian - and they do have a selection of vegetarian toast ( not much) but they accommodated with vegetarian soup if you ask !

並沒有牙刷，跟描述的不符。可能是為了照顧設計的緣故，感覺設施不太齊全。早餐不錯，小哥哥很禮貌。燈光什麼的比較重設計，反而並不實用，喜歡設計感的人應該會有感覺吧，但我還是覺得實用更重要些。衞生應該不錯，進門要求脱鞋換酒店的脱鞋。説實話，一般住着有壓力，設計師應該會很喜歡吧。

對於我們這種三口之家，兩張大床真是非常舒服！加上藝術特質的裝修加友好的店員，還是非常推薦，樓下就是7-11，也很方便

This hotel is a perfect arty hotel which worked well for our family of 3. Our room was decorated with quirky art pieces and was just the right size for us - bigger than other Japanese rooms we have stayed in. Loved all the art work around the hotel and the bar in the foyer was cool. Great location too!!

About 5 to 10 minute walk from a subway station or shopping area. We had the deluxe suite for 2 nights. Upon entering the room you get an audiovisual exhibition. The room is spacious and has a luxurious feel to it. It has a view and you can lounge in front of it or from the bed. The quality of the bed is good. Amenities okay (coffee and water). There is a special room inside of the room which you can enter from a special way or a somewhat normal way. Inside the room your senses get activated by movement and non movement. Sounds kinda mysterious but i dont want to spoil as much. Staff is kind. Room is clean. Breakfast was a choice menu and it was good.

We stayed in room 704 which was quite large (especially by Japanese standards), although about half of it is empty floor space in keeping with the "minimalist" theme of the room. On that note, we did find the room very serene and relaxing. One side of the platform bed is up against the window, so it has a lovely view of the river and city, but the trade-off is whoever sleeps on that side has to climb over the other person. The bathroom is also large with an excellent shower and separate tub. We stayed 3 nights and there wasn't daily housekeeping. There may be housekeeping for longer stays. We had to leave trash bags, coffee cups, used towels, etc. in a little basket outside the door if we wanted them taken away or exchanged. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

Liked The bathroom and shower was very spacious. The view from the room was pretty. We liked the bathrobes and slippers. It was convenient that 7-11 was right across the street and that the Gion Shopping district was very close. We enjoyed being able to walk to breakfast and shopping. Our two kids (21 and 19 yrs old) stayed in a room with two double beds called Double Dreams. It was gorgeous! They loved it and had a great sleep. The room could have used a couple side tables. There were safes in the rooms that we stored our passports in when we went out. It was very convenient that the rooms had little fridges to keep our drinks cold. Disliked We didn’t know when the bar and coffee shop in the hotel was open. The hours were not posted so we didn’t know when we could go for a drink or a coffee. On the last day we were in the coffee shop and saw that another guest ordered breakfast! We didn’t know that was an option. If you go up to the counter in the coffee shop you can see a menu but it was not posted anywhere obvious before hand so that was a bit disappointing. The cafe played really weird music that was quite distracting if you were trying to read or check emails. We ended up putting on noise cancelling headphones every time we went to the coffee shop. I guess it’s an artsy thing…we would’ve liked a more calm soundtrack. It was space techno dubstep or something. It was “wow”. The room we were in was very neat and spacious. It was the Continuum Room which had tv monitors that stayed on all night playing very subtly changing digital art. It looked awesome in the daylight but we didn’t realize how much it would light up the room at night. It was very bright. I had to wrap a towel around my head to block out the light and didn’t sleep at all. The next morning we asked for the tv monitors to be turned off so the room could be dark (in order to get some sleep). Don’t get me wrong, the concept and the art was beautiful but should be able to be turned off by the guest in order to be able to sleep. It was brighter than the sun in that room. To be fair, the staff at the front desk did tell us at check in that if we wanted the digital art turned off, we just had to let them know and they’d come up and help. We didn’t go to bed until quite late that night because we were out shopping and having dinner so we didn’t feel right calling the front desk to come into our room and turn off the 6 tv monitors. It would’ve been super awkward. Overall, the hotel was so pretty and the staff were so, so friendly and helpful. When we were leaving, we were able to leave our luggage at the hotel so we could shop before leaving Kyoto. The front desk staff helped us figure out how to get to Kyoto station by bus and were willing to give us umbrellas that would not have made it back to their hotel. So sweet! Thank you :)

I was very impressed with this artsy hotel. We were greeted by Yukari who is very professional and helpful. She went out of her way to make us feel welcome. I highly recommend the floating bed room with a very nice view.
