Hôtels près de Quartier colonial, Saint-Domingue

Je me suis senti si impressionné par cet hôtel ; je ne savais pas de cela jusqu'à ce que je cherchais un endroit pour rester à Santo Domingo et que je trouvais cet endroit merveilleux. La belle fille de la table de front est merveilleuse, toujours souriante, et prompte à aider avec tout. Tous les gens qui travaillent là sont amis et gentils. Le petit déjeuner au restaurant Dos Cafés était merveilleux et délicieux. C'est absolument mon endroit préféré pour rester à partir de maintenant.

Un lieu de rêve, suspendu au cœur de la ville coloniale, où tout est luxe, calme et volupté. Nos coups de cœur : l’architecture et la décoration des maisons, la gentillesse et les attentions des employés, le petit déjeuner royal, la literie digne d’un nuage.  Nous reviendrons.

I’m all for a colonial experience but not when it’s overpriced. El Beaterio is charming and feels authentic. Old wooden beams, clay tiled floors, wooden armoires, four poster beds which were surprisingly excellent. Even the bathroom was clean, had great water pressure & temperature. WiFi worked well enough. I suppose my issue with El Beaterio is how cold and unfriendly the service was all around. Reception was frosty and all business. They were quick to ask for a 50$ deposit even before they asked for my passport. And the front desk guy was also too quick to push for a tour HE was guiding the next day even if his English wasn’t particularly a strong point. Breakfast, while good and hearty, was again served with nonchalant silence. I suppose management doesn’t care much for attempts at warmth or sincerity —but what stings is the price. One would expect just a bit more from a property that charges 100$usd per night especially around Zona Colonial where there are plenty of choices. So go ahead and book if you’re in for the “colonial” experience. Just don’t expect old world charm or regular world friendliness or professionalism.

Nous y avons séjourné en février 2025. Il y a un casino à côté de l'hôtel et un bon supermarché à gauche. Nous avons aussi apprécié la piscine sur le toit. Dans l'ensemble, tout était propre, beau et confortable. Le personnel ne parle pas russe.

Fueron muy diligentes solicite que me hicieran algo especial para el cumpleaños de pareja y me guardaron todo listo! Parqueo accesible, buena ubicación con lugares cerca de recreación El desayuno estuvo bien; la vista de la habitación espectacular 🧡 El único inconveniente fue que el agua caliente no funcionó y solicite cambio de habitación y en la otra habitación tampoco funcionó el agua caliente! Y la claridad de la luz del pasillo entraba por espacio de puerta de la habitación! general

I had stayed here before the pandemic about 3 times. The property is very clean, it is located in the older ”colonial” part of the city. Traffic in this area is a nightmare due to the narrow streets. SAFE area, police presence all over. The GOOD: Clean, Safe, Staff Friendly, plenty of places nearby to eat. Breakfast supplied is ample and of decent quality, food for linch or dinner in the hotel restaurant is good though limited menu, space for seating is very limited inside the restaurant, water pressure in the shower is excellent the room safe is large. The BAD: Room Small like an IBIS, Bathroom smaller than an IBIS, A/C in my room was ”marginal” at best and previous stays here noticed this, Elevator very slow, the worst part this is not a business hotel. While the Internet provided is decent, there is NO work space available at all in the rooms. NO electrical outlets available all are hidden behind furniture or the bed and no desk type area. Had to charge my phone in the bathroom outlet and use computer on battery. Also had a room phone and minor toilet issue which I reported twice and nothing was done. DO NOT have the hotel arrange for the hotel taxi to drive you to the airport cost is $50.oo ! Make your own arrangements or get an UBER. CONCLUSION: While on vacation for a couple of days this is a Nice place to stay and see the colonial sights and enjoy the atmosphere. However, ”on business” this is not the place to stay. I will be returning on business for a longer stay in late January or early February, unfortunately I will have to stay elsewhere.

L'hôtel offrait un cadre et un service excellents, et le chauffeur s'est montré très serviable. Seul bémol : son éloignement de la plage et des zones touristiques le rendait plus adapté aux voyageurs d'affaires.

Tout était parfait pour le prix convenu. Il y avait bien pire dans le coin. J'ai beaucoup aimé le hall d'entrée. Aucun problème à signaler.

L'hôtel est situé un peu à l'écart du centre, dans un quartier très agréable et sûr, à proximité de restaurants. L'accueil est très chaleureux ; notre chambre n'était pas encore prête, mais nous avons été immédiatement surclassés. Le petit-déjeuner est très copieux. La piscine, avec son jacuzzi, est très grande et dispose de nombreux transats et d'un service de bar. Un grand parking est à la disposition des clients véhiculés.

L'hôtel m'a plu et ils m'ont donné accès à la chambre deux heures avant l'heure d'arrivée.
