If you are not sure where to stay - don’t waste any time looking elsewhere, I can 100% recommend staying at Arran Lodge. We were so impressed with how well we were looked after, a clean and kept room with everything you might possibly need, including a welcome treat - homemade cake, space to park the car outside the house, a welcome reception and the most wonderful breakfast choice! What a find,a jewel in the crown,on a weekend trip to Torquay I found this paradise, Hotel Peppers run by husband and wife team Sanjeev and Sabita,this hotel is amazing,what a location just up from the centre and harbour,it was a delight on entering,the decor is superlative,my room recently refurbished was immaculate,everything you can ask for nothing spared to make your stay enjoyable and my drop down balcony so easy to use giving a beautiful view,I can't fault it,highly recommended don't miss this one,honestly and the breakfast is to die for

Le spa est incroyable, si relaxant. Idéal situé à environ 10 minutes à pied de la plage de Meadfoot. Le petit déjeuner était sur le petit côté mais délicieux. Le personnel est ami et utile. Les chambres sont propres, mais pour 4* j'attendrais un peu plus comme un fer dans la chambre, les toilettes, les vêtements de lavage, etc. Je n'ai pas dormi si bien malheureusement comme il a été réveillé par les gens qui rentrent dans la chambre, les portes sont lourdes et les étages du couloir sont creux. Cela laisse tomber, mais je retourne pour l'expérience de spa !

For a 4 star hotel this was very disappointing. Only 1 person on reception and a queue of people waiting to be checked in. A very tired hotel that has been not been well maintained. Our room was disappointing, a balcony we couldn't use, a double bed that felt like I was sliding out of it all night as the mattress was worn and had gone soft on my side of the bed, an uncomfortable toilet as the seat was too small for the toilet. Many other small things as well, we expected better.

The stay was pleasant, the room was basic but clean missed not having a bath and just a shower missed simple things like a hair dryer in the room although when requested at the reception I was given one and lack of choice of coffee and tea in the room. It was very nice that there was no noise at night and meant a decent night's sleep. Breakfast was acceptable, but you have to get there early when it comes out hot from the kitchen, or it is all cold from spending to long under the hot plates. The only big downside is it's a good 30mns walk from the town centre although buses seem to run outside the hotel but there is a good-sized car park if you drive. The room was small but fine for just my 2 nights stay and acceptable. I'm not sure the room size, lack of luxuries and breakfeast beng hit and miss would make it comfortable for a longer stay.

La chambre qui nous a été donnée était au fond d'un vol d'escaliers qui a entraîné de nombreuses perturbations sonores tout au long de la journée et de la nuit. L'alarme à 7 h était également une appel de réveil non bienvenue. Le petit déjeuner était bon, avec une sélection décente et la situation générale est bonne pour accéder aux promenades locales et à la voie de la côte.

Le service était gentil et utile, je suis sûr que je recommande cet hôtel à d'autres.

Dans l'ensemble, c'était un week-end tellement incroyable La seule chose qui nécessitait un réfrigérateur dans la chambre, sinon tout allait très bien.

The hotel itself was nice; can’t fault it. Our room however, had a weird, stale smell and was off-putting, with no way to ventilate the room by opening the windows, as you cannot open them - A/C is not a natural ventilation. Bed was comfortable, slept perfectly fine, just not nice waking up with the smell, as mentioned before. Breakfast was good, although I’ve had better.
