This is so far the best motel stay of my NZ holiday. The room is big and everything is sparkling clean. There’s plenty of room, the bed is very big. The bed linen is like brand new. Most of all, the landlord is super nice. I left my wallet at the reception when I checked in. This gentleman came and gave it to me. On the checking out day, I left my phone charge at the bedside. He left message for me. Luckily then I was still in Dunedine. I couldn’t be more grateful! Strongly recommend this motel👍👍👍

The room was very spacious and had great natural lighting, which I really appreciated. It felt comfortable during the day and overall the space itself was quite nice. However, the WiFi was extremely poor. Even basic social media would keep buffering, and trying to watch a show at night was almost impossible — it would pause every couple of minutes. Since there’s not much to do around in the evening, this was pretty frustrating. Another thing that felt a bit uncomfortable was the mirror placement next to the bed upstairs. It’s not directly facing the bed, but if you turn to the side, you’re basically looking straight into it. I know this might not bother everyone, but in some cultures (like feng shui), having a mirror facing the bed is considered bad for sleep and overall comfort, so it felt a bit odd to me. The bathroom was also a bit annoying — the fan automatically turns on with the light and can’t be switched off separately. It was quite loud, so even using the bathroom felt uncomfortable after a while. Parking space was decent in size, but getting out was inconvenient. I had to reverse multiple times because the space behind wasn’t very wide. Overall, the room itself is nice, but the WiFi and some layout details could really use improvement.

Such a lovely stay with my partner, all staff were very friendly and accommodating. Such a nice place to stay, rooms were so clean and beyond beautiful!

Overall, this accommodation was excellent and exceeded our expectations. The unit was very spacious, well-maintained, and spotlessly clean upon arrival, which immediately made us feel comfortable and at ease. The layout was practical and suitable for both short and longer stays, with ample space to move around and relax. One of the biggest advantages was how easy the place was to locate. Clear directions and a convenient location made check-in smooth and stress-free, especially after a long journey. The surrounding area was also quiet and pleasant, allowing for a restful stay. Cleanliness was clearly a priority, from the rooms to the common areas, which we truly appreciated. Overall, this accommodation offers great comfort, convenience, and value. We would definitely recommend it to others and would not hesitate to stay here again in the future.

Thus hotels most appealing benefit is its location. It’s a short walk to the octagon, historical railway station and the excellent (and free admission) Pioneer Museum. It’s a short is also only a couple of streets from George Street which has lots of shopping and restaurants. A block away is a large supermarket for groceries. The room size is adequate with a fridge and kettle. The carpet could use a good cleaning. The main issue was with the shower. It has no enclosure and although the floor is sloped towards the drain we had to put towels around the floor to stop water from running everywhere. The towels and bath mat naturally got soaked. For the price and location I would recommend this hotel if you are. It looking for anything upscale.

Really nice looking room and a very good price performance ratio. And you even get a complimentary drink. Room was nice and warm upon arrival. I didnt really understand the self checkin for a second, cause i didnt know the rooms were directly at the parkinglot, where the whiteboards and the name are written. Really easy and useful for a fast checkin and checkout. I would stay there again.

We was late about 10min checked in at night. But the person in charge was still very friendly n helpful to helped us carried the luggage due to there was some distance from my car to the building that we stayed. Overall was cool and comfortable. The location was great and perfect as just very close to the octagon.

The capsule pod beds have really nice pillows,bedding - which is extremely rare in hostel, but that does not apply to standard bunk rooms. The kitchen has everything you could want from basic items such as pasta and rice to coffee, hot chocolate, tea. They have a very large selection of herbs and spices and kitchen has everything from instant pot to steamers, rice cookers to air fryer. It is a very small hostel, the lounge is in the reception with just one U shaped sofa, all bathrooms are through reception, and the kitchen really has just 2 big tables. But honestly the great pillows make up for the lack of corners to hang out in :)

L'hôtel Law Courts est très ancien et n'a pas été rénové. La salle de bains a toujours ces tapis séparés chaud et froid, qui sont inconvenants, et le tapis a l'air assez porté et pas très propreit certainement se sent comme le lieu pourrait utiliser quelques mises à jour. Ceci dit, la situation est fantastique juste au cœur de Dunedin, donc il est super convenable de se rejoindre. Ne vous en souvenez pas que si c'est central, il peut être bruyant; le samedi soir, en particulier, il était difficile de dormir avec tout le bruit de la rue. En général, si vous êtes après un endroit agréable pour le budget dans un endroit idéal et ne vous en souciez pas des quirks d'un hôtel plus ancien, il vaut la peine de considérer.

C'est très bon marché.
