Well what can I say!! Had my wedding here 12th august and it really was the best day of our lives. All the staff could not do enough and made the whole day run so smoothly with a lovely atmosphere. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and all my family and friends commented that it was the best wedding they had ever been to. It’s so well organised and the food was amazing. The gardens are beautiful too to get all your photos taken. Big thanks to Chelsea and Rachel to for all their help in planning the big day and apologies for the earache they must of had with me constantly emailing them asking questions. Nothing was too much trouble. I’m attending a family 30th birthday there this month too and I can’t wait. Also got Christmas Day booked for dinner and disco. It really is a fantastic venue. 100 percent would recommend it for anyone looking to book a wedding or party.

Chris and the teams were absolutely amazing at making my Step-Daughter and (now) son-in-law’s Wedding day an amazing experience. Nothing was too much trouble. My mother-in-law need support for her mobility and staff were always on hand to help. Really cannot praise the venue or the team enough.

We attended a family wedding here last week and what can I say amazing from start to finish the decorations to the food what a magical day to see my niece marry her best friend. They catered to every demand and went above and beyond to make it a day/night to remember for the whole family Thank you would highly recommend for everyone amazing prices and budgets for everyone’s pockets….

Bar prices extortionate, £18 50 cheapest bottle of wine! Would not return for this reason alone. Did not stay here, only attended a function but shocked at the bar prices. Would never expect to pay so much outside of a top hotel in London!

We booked a Xmas night for 17th December, all paid . Appalling customer service as they have decided to cancel our paid for night and change it to the 9th December without even asking us if this date was ok. No phone call , nothing ! An email appeared and that’s how we knew. We have complained as the date is no good. Money refunded. This is no way to run a business! Absolutely disgraceful and poor from this place. I think to be honest was a blessing as if this is anything to go by imagine how the night out may have gone . To just cancel our booking when it was paid for and swap date without asking us just shows how dreadful this place is ! Gave one star as the review forced me to !!!!

The hotel itself was OK but the locals have a field time ransacking the cars in the car park. The staff don't give a damn and just tell you it's nothing to do with them. For some reason I am being forced to write 200 characters to have this review published.

After 2 long years, finally had the surprise 50th party. From day 1 of the pandemic the Devonshire have been amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was fantastic and the room dressed beautifully by Ambience Events. A fabulous night was had by all. Would highly recommend this venue if you’re thinking about holding a party etc. Thank you to all the staff.

What a fabulous night we all had last night ,Christmas party night,Fab staff,lovely lady greeting us ,then fab mine host,giving us our Cocktails,seeing us to our seats,great bar staff,food amazing,Loved the room,decor fab,,and Wow the best DJ,s in town,Loved the indoors fireworks,We all had a Ball,Thank you all so very much ,much needed after 2 yrs,Don’t want to sat TOO much,we might not get in next year,Love the 14 ,Babymel staff.

Booked multiple rooms for a party for 18th, told months in advance we had 2 family rooms with proper beds as 1 family with small child and one family with cancer patient. Told on arrival this is not what we booked even though numerous phone calls had been made beforehand and numerous employees confirmed, had to settle for make shift beds instead of what we booked. Debbie was extremely rude and aggressive and instead of accepting our frustrations she wanted to continue a verbal slanging match with a 60 year old woman. Staff member who was on desk also decided she was going to join in and be just as rude and unhelpful.
