Extremely basic and really overpriced for the quality

I switched to this hotel from Lords Hotel which was extremely unpleasant and had a FANTASTIC stay. Was able to check in 2.5 hours early thanks to the receptionist and they gave me a beautiful suite on the 2nd floor. The inside looks like a little flat of it’s own and has practically everything you need. Only complaint was the sink was closed up and the water wouldn’t go down but other than that it was perfect. Location was also wonderful and close to everything. I was able to leave my luggage a couple hours after checkout too which was extremely helpful. Much thanks to the kind receptionist and the manager who checked me in :)

I arrived late last night and received a very professional and warm welcome from the night receptionist, Saladin. The hotel parking was a very convenient touch at such a late hour, and secure. The room was clean and spacious with a large double. On checking out Saladin was still on his shift and kindly offered to make me a coffee before I left, what great customer service!

The front desk/receptionist staff were AMAZING! Each one of them we encountered. However, that was about the only thing that was amazing at this hotel. The location was also nice and was close to what we needed and didn’t seem unsafe walking at night. We stayed in the basement room (600s) and the bed was so hard, the bathroom was extremely small, and there was mold with a clear moisture issue. I would not recommend staying here if you can avoid it. Maybe the other rooms that aren’t in the basement are better, however, I cannot say regarding those.

Highly recommend this hotel for position, cleanliness and helpful staff. The Double rooms we booked had a fridge, 2 burner hotplate electric jug cutlery and crockery. We stayed for 5 nights in one room, came back for a 3 night stay and again for a 5 night stay we had rooms on the 4th floor and 3 rd floor. Each one different in layout, but all were workable. Fans supplied in each of the rooms, beds were comparable and comfortable. There are some much larger rooms and also the economy rooms which are basement level.

We came to provide Safer Spaces at Notting Hill carnival, great location and good value for money. But most of all, amazingly friendly, professional and helpful team! Every member of the staffing team we interacted with went out of their way to assist my team..... Even on our late returns in the early hours of the morning! We will definitely be back!

I had read all the reviews of this hotel and sort of knew what to expect, but was still extremely disappointed. We were allocated a basement room for our three night stay, and as I had prepaid I couldn't really go anywhere else. The bathroom area is as small as described. Very very narrow. To put it bluntly it was so narrow it was had to wipe ones backside. To dry off after a shower, one had to into the main room. On the first night , there was no cold water in the shower. Luckily I checked temperature before walking in otherwise I would have scalded myself, The receptionist came down and sort of fixed it, but not ideal. No A/C in the room, so had to leave the window open on a basement room throughout the night and there was a strong smell of ******** coming from the back area of the hotel. Wiring around the useless hob area looked very dodgy, with one plug socket burnt out. Hairdryer broken. Another in the wardrobe had the earth pin removed. So they are the downsides of the hotel and for those reasons I reckon it should be avoided. I think that it has serious health and safety issues. On the plus side. Comfy beds, even if the bed linen didnt quite fit. Lovely area. Not far from tube. Wouldnt stay there again.
