Number 8 the Townhouse

No 8 The Townhouse The location was central. Checking in was very easy through the use of a keypad. The room was very small and in need of decorating. The furnishings and bedding were very tired. The bathroom was clean but the quality of both the towels were substandard and badly frayed. There was no sink plug and the bath plug leaked. Basic tea and coffee supplies were available within the room but were not replenished during our stay. Our room was at the back of the property, and the pigeons in the derelict building behind were noisy and significantly impacted on our sleep. Breakfast was very basic - it would be a stretch to call it continental. Overall we were very disappointed with our stay and would not recommend this accommodation to others visiting Derry.

Once again Keiran did not disappoint. The place is quaint,spotlessly clean and friendly. In the small dining area, three different nationalities all chatting together. Feels like a home from home. Keiran makes everyone very welcome. Will definitely be back.

My husband booked us a room to go see a show at the Millennium forum. The room was lovely decorated, with an en suite bathroom. The location was very central, right in the town centre. We parked about a 10 minute walk away and over night parking was about £4. Not bad. You can park outside but there are time restrictions. Had a great sleep. Met our host Kieran at breakfast. He was very welcoming, bubbly, funny and friendly. Lovely continental breakfast cereal, toast, orange juice, coffee/tea. Absolute value for money. Would definitely recommend it and we will be back 😊

What a lovely little gem of a B&B, central to everything shops, pubs, food and sights wise, clean, tidy cozy, decorated to suit the age of the building rather than modernised and the warmth taken out, great communication, fab breakfast and Kieran a great host, can not fault anything, definitely and easy recommend.

My husband and I found this to be a lovely, quaint place to stay during our visit to Derry. Kieran is an excellent host. We had such an enjoyable time conversing with him during our daily breakfast. The location of the townhouse is also great - right inside the city walls.

What a lovely little BnB, Kieran was great craic, a fantastic host. My room (lovingly referred to as "the cell" 🤣) was a single room, and fairly small - remember how old the townhouse is - but it was perfectly suitable for what I needed. En-suite shower room, tea and coffee, hairdryer and TV. Bed was very comfortable too! Had seen some previous guests moan about breakfast but I thought the breakfast was great. There was a great choice of cereals - think 6 or 8 different types - a choice of bread, spreads, yoghurt and fruit. All 3 mornings I was full up for so long, not eating again until like 3 or 4pm. Location is great too, literally on the Walls. Was easily walkable to all the main sites. Wouldn't hesitate to book here when I inevitably return to Derry in the future!

Lovely little room in the middle of the city centre, walking distance to all the great spots. My only complaint is the front door, when it bangs, it’s so loud, woke me up a few times throughout the night.

Very happy with our stay, definitely value for money - basic and clean Lovely little kitchen down stairs for breakfast (toast/cereal) which is worth having Kieran (the owner) was more than helpful on more than one occasion - we would definitely revisit, also very easy to find as it’s located on the inside of the walls
