Barefoot Contessa

Location of the accommodation was absolutely perfect along one of the best stretch of beaches on Kefalonia. The apartment itself was immaculate with everything you could want for a comfortable holiday. The staff at both the apartment and the beach bar were welcoming and friendly and went out of their way to offer help. The availability of food and drinks served at the bar was extensive and everything we ate and drank was freshly cooked and delicious as well as beautifully presented. We will definitely return!

The apartment was very spacious and clean with towels changed daily. The views were panoramic as described and everything we needed was close at hand...especially the beach which was merely steps away ! Our panoramic view though meant we had 2 flights of stairs to climb so not suitable for those with mobility issues. There were also some very young children in other apartments in spite of the website saying 'children over 12 welcomed'. We will definitely be back!

Barefoot contessa was a perfect place to stay. Location was opposite the beach and behind Hemingway Rooms were spacious with kitchen area and bathrooms were reasonable. Shower at times felt claustrophobic with limited movement Bedroom had space to move. Housekeeping ladies were fantastic and did a great job, flexible and approachable, would help at a drop of a hat! This is not a 5 star hotel so do not expect linen to be changed daily which didn’t bother me at all, however would have liked the floors to be swept and bed just made for the day. Apart from that, totally recommend staying here! Even had a very cute little sitting area outside of each apartment.. I loved it here! Would suggest residents be offered free sun lounge and umbrellas out the front..

Nothing too relaxing very bad experience. If you choose that apartment in Lourdas you will get a minimum of equipment, bar very expensive and redness from owners. We ordered Greek salad but they give us without oil and olive no taste only veg Shame on you. The first time we have something like this. I do not know maybe you have a problem with people like us. The beach is beautiful and the seawater is amazing and the view is unforgettable with the mountain in the back of your place but you can get better accodomnetion in Lourdas than this. For the sunbed, you pay € 8 per day if you use it. Other than accommodation have or for free. Only one toaster for the whole 10 rooms??? Glass limits available. One little square kitchen towel to clean your dishes?? Most important the Air conditioning old fashion very old-fashioned and if you use makes horrible noise! the kitchen area yes has its windows but it's very warm, the owner should think about it. No that's enough. We could give more, that it's our opinion. We will be back with no option but no barefoot contessa We get information from different accordaminations and we notice the better place for that money. We travel a lot and we can compare, it poorly.

Absolutely gorgeous apartment with full sea view. We were able to sit on the balcony in full sunshine as there was a retractable awning. Couldn't have been any closer to the lovely beach. Great full size kitchen with a 3 burner hob and an oven. If we'd stayed longer would have cooked a bit more. Bed very comfortable and shower enclosed.Would highly recommend and return.

The Apartment was clean and spacious and comfortable, situated next to the beautiful Lourdas beach. Plenty of parking. Friendly and helpful team. We had fabulous weather but as it was late in the season, most of the shops snd tavernas were closed, or closing very soon. Nevertheless we found enough to keep us busy. I had family staying nearby. I would recommend a car, especially at this time of year. Kefalonia is a lovely Island and Argostoli has lots of shops and restaurants.

Barefoot Contessa is the perfect location on the beach at Lourdes. Very comfortable and clean apartments with parking and bar. Small charge for sun beds and umbrellas on the beach. Would definitely recommend to family and friends. Lots of tavernas and places to eat, drink and relax.

A gem of a find for us - exceptional apartments only a few yards from the beach with a wonderful sea view. The staff are extremely helpful and hard working from the bar staff to the cleaners. The apartments are immaculate and well equipped. We stayed for 3 nights in June this year and loved it so much we returned in September for another 3 nights (wanted 7 nights but was fully booked). We will definitely return next year for longer. Have only just discovered Lourdas this year but it is now our favourite resort in Kefalonia. There are some wonderful tavernas nearby.

2 week stay in Superior apartment with panoramic seaview, end of May and beginning of June. Spacious kitchen (with sofa) clean and adequate facilities. Comfortable king sized bed. Friendly staff. Extremely attractive area with plenty of tavernas to try. You can manage without a car (we don't bother driving abroad) but very limited public transport if you want to go further afield. A week would have done us without a car but if you hire a car you'd have more options to explore Kefalonia.
