We just stayed four nights at River Ridge Lodge in their king room and had family across the hall in the two bedroom suite. The rooms and property were absolutely perfect; clean, comfortable, relaxing and a great central location to do day trips from. The a/c and fridge in each room was an added bonus for sure. The hosts were amazing; extremely accommodating and friendly with great suggestions for places to visit. The property, inside and out, is impeccably kept and there are a variety of places to sit out and relax with a book or play lawn games. We will definitely be back.

This delightful place is close to Mahone bay a quaint little town close to Peggy’s Cove, Lunenburg,Digby, Rose bay, and crescent beach to name a few, we were very happy with the hospitality of Frauke and Mike, they were very accommodating and our rooms were spotless as well as being provided with high quality amenities- I would definitely recommend this place to anyone staying in the area

Our room (downstairs) was beautiful, very clean, had a comfortable bed, and had nice towels and amenities in the bath. Our hostess was very welcoming, full of information and suggestions, and made sure we were well taken care of. Staying here was a wonderful experience! The location is very quiet and relaxing, but still only a short drive from town. Easy access to the rail trail for biking.

River Ridge Lodge's location is perfect, away from the bustle of Lunenburg but close enough to all of the area's tourist attractions. The setting was quiet and bucolic. The rooms in a lovingly restored house had all the comforts of home and breakfast was fresh and filling with lots of variety. Frauke was very accommodating with our particular needs and shared suggestions for places to visit and directions for finding them. I would highly recommend River Ridge Lodge.

The location is ideal, close to the coastal road and highway, yet tucked away on a quiet road and tranquil river. Our two-night stay made a pleasant break for us and sister visiting from England. Hosts Frauke and Mike are very accommodating and free with information about local activities, attractions and eateries.

Beautiful place! All the details you would want on vacation. Very clean and comfortable, wonderful breakfast, and super nice people that own it. Very close to the water so enjoyed many walks. Will be back!

River Ridge Lodge B&B will not disappoint! Don’t hesitate to book this lovely and well appointed B&B in a beautiful setting that was exceptionally peaceful and quiet. Frauke warmly greeted us and we met her husband, Mike, and their beautiful animals, Charlie and Maxi. The made to order breakfast was excellent and she offered to accommodate any dietary needs. Early morning coffee delivered outside your door at your appointed time was over the top! We really enjoyed our visits at breakfast where Frauke shared many ideas on sightseeing and we discussed how to solve the problems of the world. We will miss this time with Frankie! Thank you so much Frankie and Mike & we hope to return soon!

We stayed her for 2 nights and didn’t want to leave! Lovely room, amazing, generous breakfast with local organic products. The grounds including the private deck by the river were just perfect but best of all was our superb hosts Frauke and Mike. From the minute we arrived Frauke could not do enough for us. She recommended things to do in the local area, local restaurants and printed off directions and information to ensure we made the most of this lovely area. We are travelling in Nova Scotia for 3 weeks and have stayed in several lovely places but the River Ridge Lodge and their amazing are simply the best!

Spent three nights at River Ridge Lodge. Very comfortable beautiful King suite overlooking lovely greenery. Frauke and Mike, and Charlie, their very friendly Newfoundland, are wonderful hosts. Breakfasts to order, coffee right outside our door in the morning, all made us feel at home. We had rainy, foggy weather but trips to Mahone Bay and Lunenberg and the scallops at Island View restaurant made it a wonderful trip..highly recommended.
