Highfield Bed & Breakfast

After booking it did cross my mind does anywhere really get this many 5* reviews. Having stayed here last weekend I can totally see why it does, in fact I want to give it extra stars because everything is so well thought out and our hosts Maria and Fraser could not be faulted. Spotlessly clean throughout, noise free, well appointed rooms. As for the breakfast - perfect. My partner has stayed in numerous B&B's and hotels over the years for work (So had plenty of breakfast experiences to compare) and declared the breakfast the best he'd ever had. As we were driving home we were saying we'd like to go back again and he said: Is next month too soon?

Fraser and Maria are excellent hosts to their high spec bed and breakfast. Immaculate throughout, the room we had, number 7 was beyond our expectation. Very comfortable bed, armchairs for relaxing in, hospitality tray and toiletries basket. Very large fluffy towels which is rare these days. Delicious breakfast catering for all tastes and appetites. Nothing is too much trouble. Five minute walk into town centre but far enough away not to hear any noise from road. We will definitely make this our stay over when we come to see our friends in Lymington.

This is the BEST B&B we have ever stayed in. Superbly renovated building with excellent hosts in Fraser and Maria. The King bed was very comfortable, the room was quiet and breakfast brilliant and large. Coffee includes the option for a cappuccino or latte. We woke to a flat tire on our hire car. Fraser took over and organized assistance to come and attend to the car while we ate our breakfast. That is real devotion to guests Can’t say enough about this place.

Recommended to us by friends, This place is truly a gem, a warm welcome from our hosts on arrival. Room was absolutely spotless, with a large comfy bed, everything you could possibly need. Bathroom/wetroom, lovely thick towels. Breakfasts freshly cooked to order, You will not leave hungry! The standard of housekeeping here is spotless, what a great team Frasier and Maria make 10/10 from us. Regards Cathy & Bill

Booked last minute and we couldn’t have found a better hotel Maria and Fraser were great hosts. Very informative and helpful re trains and taxis. Hotel spotlessly clean great breakfast super comfy bed and again super hosts so welcoming. I can’t recommend this place enough you won’t be disappointed

Was fortunate enough to stay here after another hotel had to cancel, but found us a room here.! And we wasn’t disappointed…!! This place is nothing short of perfection. From hosting right through to cleanliness and amazing breakfast! Hotel has undergone a substantial refurbishment to deliver a 5 star service. Probably best B&B on the south coast !! If you don’t believe me try it for yourself. Well done Frazier and Maria 👏

The owners of this property are very welcoming and go out of their way. The room (3) that we occupied for two nights was clean, well decorated, comfortable, and had many extras such as tea coffee making, quality bedding and loads of towels, shower gels etc. Breakfast had lots of choice and was home cooked food, hot and plentiful.

Yep, finally got to revisit and it was just as impressive as I remembered. Stayed in the main building and It’s still probably the best B&B we have stayed at. Good location, great hosts, super room, on-site parking and an excellent breakfast. Only have the full breakfast if you are really hungry. Just book it.
