Residence Ambiez

Good hotel for skiing as long as you get what you booked, and don't have any problems as they do not care to resolve them for you. This is my email to the manager of the hotel after my stay; "I arrived and was put in a room that I had not booked. I complained at the reception desk and asked to be moved to a room with a balcony and was told this could not happen as they were all booked. I could however move on the 17th Feb (5 nights in to my stay) if I wished to... As you can see from my booking (and confirmation from you) I had booked a Superior room with a balcony in May 2023... and you took my money in May 2023.... No email was sent to me beforehand, no explanation given on-site at the hotel, just told there was nothing you could do...." I am posting this on here as the manager onsite at the time and the hotel manager afterwards has NEVER responded to my complaint whilst. Really bad customer service.

Great location - 2 min walk to nearest lift and 15 min walk to the town (coming back is a uphill walk so might take a little more time). The apar**ents were nice and cozy, I did notice one mold spot in one of the apar**ents though. The pool is nice and warm with great view. Would recommend to go in the mornings as it gets very crowded in the evenings. Spa area is a bit overpriced. The food was great and reasonably priced (both dinner and breakfast buffet). In general, would stay there again if in the area.

Wonderful 5 nights spent at the Ambiez with four other families. Ski lifts a few minutes walk from the ski lockers at Ambiez and skiing was perfect for our mix of abilities. We had a 3 bed apar**ent for our family of 2 adults and 3 teens and this had plenty of room. Beds were really comfy. We had a kitchenette with fridge, hob, kettle etc although didn’t really use it as breakfast in the hotel was perfect before skiing. We did eat dinner a couple of nights in the hotel too and food was very good. The weather was so warm and sunny that we hardly used the pool area as we were out on the slopes all day, and didn’t get to try the spa unfortunately. Staff were all really friendly too. We’ll definitely be back!

Generally a good place and very handy for skiing. 25 minute walk to the town. Two minutes walk to gondola. Staff were good and room was fine. Top tip! There is place to temporarily park your car on a lay by directly opposite the hotel. Park there. The hotel's parking arrangements take a while to figure out and it's best to check in first before using official hotel car park.

Very nice hotel at the foot of the Grosté mountain, close to the lift. Good rooms, good food, and very friendly staff. At walking distance from Madonna di Campliglio. We have also visited another Residence Hotel (Antares), and Ambiez is better.

We had a fantastic stay over new year despite the trials and tribulations covid restrictions bring. The staff were generally really helpful and friendly - especially Marco in the bar, nothing was ever too much trouble and always extremely friendly and helpful and always wearing a big smile - thank you Marco you are a huge asset to Residence!! Also young Nicola was superb in the restaurant, again always wearing a big smile and always happy to help - Thank you Nicole you have bright future ahead of you! And Eleanor on reception too went out of her way to help us, especially with getting our pre-departure covid tests booked - Thanks again Eleanor! Our room was perfect for skiing (family of 4 all over 16) - newly renovated and as close to the gondolas as we could get. The hotel was very clean and tidy and suited us well. Thanks again all - keep doing your great work!

Our family of four had a wonderful stay at Residence Ambiez. The room had ample space for us and all our gear. We could prepare light meals on the kitchen and the shower was fantastic. Plenty of storage space. The hotel had some lovely amenities including the pool and game room. I had a fantastic massage after a day of skiing - it was good and well priced. Alma at the front desk was especially helpful to us throughout our stay. The Groste gondola is just a short walk away which makes for an easy day of skiing. Two downsides were the smaller beds for our teens were not as comfortable and we all needed extra pillows as the ones they have were very thin. But additional Pillows were provided with no issue. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it as a great option for families.

Excellent! Very clean , great apar**ent, nice balcony with great view and good prices. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Spa is small but exceptionally clean and nice. Swimming pool a little bit too crowd in some period of the day but nice and with a wonderful view on the mountains. Position excellent for ski facilities.

Torniamo ogni anno in questo bellissimo hotel residence. Ottima posizione per ⛷ in prossimità degli impianti di risalita del Grostè. Palestra, piscina e spa bellissime. Pulizia e stanze perfette. Lo staff è super efficiente è disponibile h24. Abbiamo trascorso anche quest’anno un Capodanno fantastico, il cenone era molto raffinato ed elegante, tutto buonissimo. Skiroom riscaldato con dotazione di comodo armadio privato. Posto auto in garage chiuso riservato. Il mini appartamento è molto grazioso (tutto in legno) dotato di ogni tipo di stoviglie 🍽 (piatti, posate, bicchieri, tazze, bollitore, caffettiera ecc...). Dotazione anche di asciugacapelli, bagnoschiuma, shampoo, balsamo, saponetta è tutto il necessario per la pulizia del locale (sacchetti per la differenziata, scopa, spazzolone + panno per lavare il pavimento, spugne e detersivo per i piatti). Cambio completo asciugamani ogni 2 giorni. Massima libertà sulla tipologia di sistemazione alberghiera che si può decidere anche al momento dell’arrivo (si può prenotare la colazione, il pranzo o la cena con breve anticipo). Ogni anno che torniamo troviamo nuove migliorie in questa struttura che è già perfetta. Facciamo molti viaggi ... non torniamo MAI nello stesso posto... facciamo eccezione soltanto per Madonna di Campiglio all’Ambiez 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
