Disliked · Lobby was dark and had a bad odor. No staff whatsoever during our one night stay. we reserved a room with the balcony and instead got room "2" zero level There was no heat and no way to fix the problems because of no staff. that existed nor to refund our money. The the configuration of the rooms were small box-like and very confining and uncomfortable, It did not have good air flow, and as at found it difficult to breathe in aggravated my asthma condition. T Room was properly described in the listing. In the HOTEL listing there is over 100 photos displayed but only one photo of this "0" level apartment’s narrow kitchen. There was no photo’s for instance of the bedroom. It was so small one person had to crawl over the bed to get to his side of the bed because of the limited space. I think the description of this room was misrepresented by the Hotel. We originally made a four-day reservation and left early the next morning after a pretty miserable cold night!

This is a little bit of a different hotel when compared to chain hotels. Communication is either WhatsApp or email. I’m the WhatsApp message you get a code for the front door and the room door. Someone was there to meet us, make sure to explain the doors, hours etc. We got to our room, tried showering and got the room flooded. The staff was super quick and responsive and within 10 minutes we were in a new room. The rooms were clean, the shower was hot with nice pressure, sheets were clean on the king size bed! I would definitely recommend staying here. No frills, but definitely central and accessible

The hotel's location, while central, proved to be its downfall. Nestled in a bustling area, the relentless noise from the street was a constant disturbance, significantly impacting our ability to relax and get a good night's sleep. This issue was exacerbated by inadequate soundproofing in the rooms. Another major concern was the cleanliness of our suite. Despite being touted as a luxury establishment, the standards of hygiene were subpar. We encountered issues like dust on surfaces and less-than-spotless bathrooms, which are unacceptable for a hotel of this supposed caliber. Also, our experiences with the hotel staff, particularly James the manager, were disheartening. We found the manager to be unapproachable and dismissive of our concerns. Requests for basic amenities and assistance were met with indifference, leaving us feeling unwelcome and undervalued as guests. While we had high hopes for our stay at Amor de Dios 17 Luxury Suites, the reality fell short in every aspect. From the relentless noise and poor cleanliness to the unprofessional attitude of the management, our experience was deeply disappointing. We do not recommend this hotel to travelers seeking a peaceful and luxurious stay in Madrid.

Super convenient location off Calle Atocha, within walking distance of the station. Very well soundproofed - it was a quiet place to stay. I booked a small studio but was upgraded to a 2-bed apartment! Very comfortable and easy to access accommodation and James, the building manager, could not have been more helpful.

I spent 3 nights at the Amor De Dios in early October and I must say, overall, I was disappointed. The room is pretty specious but not as described. The entrance doesn't look like a hotel at all and that makes me feel a little uncomfortable. Also, the manager is definitely arrogant. The location is not the best you can find but it is located more or less at the center. It is not the most luxurious neighborhood if you know what I mean... All in all, if you consider the relatively high price per night, I would not recommend it as there are way better value-for-money options in Madrid

We went to Madrid for a vacation and booked this hotel with high expectations after reading all the positive review. Unfortunately, we mainly disappointed from our experience. The rooms are smaller than seen in the pictures, colors are too strong to a point it hearts the eyes. The hotel was fairly clean but can definitely do better. The proximity to the main junction creates some movement and noise also in late hours which the windows doesn't isolate. When approaching the manager with some complaints we ran into rude behavior. It seems as he doesn't really care about the hotel guests. I can point out that the location is pretty good as many attractions are close by the hotel but all in all I would not return to this hotel so should you.

What a fabulous stay! Amor de Dios is located in the perfect spot. It's beautiful, comfortable, quiet, and within a short walking distance of food, shops, laundry, museums, and the train station. We purposely chose this property for its two bedrooms, two baths, and small kitchen. It did not disappoint. Our two teen girls loved having their own room and their own beds. Everything was super comfortable, beautifully decorated, and clean. The owner is what makes the stay. He was so knowledgeable about the city of Madrid. He sent us to fabulous restaurants, helped us navigate the local laundry, and guided us as needed with the local culture. I would recommend to anyone visiting Madrid to book a stay here. We loved it! P.S. do check out two super awesome places nearby- the Levaduramadre Bakery is outstanding, and if you want a pair of Madrid-made, unique sunglasses stop by Wilde. You won't be disappointed.

Perfect location, close to everything at walking distance. It was a great flat for a family like us (with 2 small kids): very well furnished and equipped with all the amenities needed, super comfy beds and pillows, extremely clean (the bath towels were spotless and smelled good!). Staff is very friendly and helpful (including the nice and smiling cleaning ladies who come every day). It is not a hotel with a 24/7 reception, but the owners will proactively contact you to prepare your arrival the day before. It was very easy to contact them anytime via Whatsapp and they were very responsive to any question I had. There is a possibility to store your luggage the last day after check-out. They organized the taxi for us to the airport (reliable taxi driver who came right on time, despite our very early flight). Everything was perfect! Not an issue for us, but beware that there is no breakfast included. However there are a lot of cafes and restaurants nearby and the staff recommended us a nice place to have breakfast or brunch. Besides, there was a bad smell at the entrance and staircase (water drain), but fortunately there was no issue in our flat itself (suite with balcony on the 2nd floor). So again, not an issue at all for our stay.
