Sarang Wildlife Sanctuary

Poor Customer services. Staff are irresponsible. Food items are average. Guests are not treated well. I will never recommend this place to my family and friends anymore. Very bad experiences. The hotel did not meet my expectations at all.

1. First of all a kind request to the IT personnel to take the picture of an elephant out from the webpage as they don't do elephant safari or bath anymore due to the government restrictions as we were told upon arrival which is okay but misleading as our main reason to stay at Sarang Wildlife was Elephant bath. 2. Staffs are inconsistent in terms of service and very unprofessional. They do not provide any information until last minute neither do they provide a consistent answer for a simple question. Answer varies from person to person. 3.We stayed for 3 days but we're never asked if we wanted our room to be cleaned, neither extra towels or a bottle of water were provided. Which I believe is a basic thing. I left a pool towel in front of my balcony towards the entrance the day we arrived, It wasn't removed from there until our day of check-out. The thing is they are not interested to listen nor acknowledge your requests.They just want everything to get done even though the service standards are not met. This is very sad. It's not a 5 Star hotel, neither are we expecting a 5 star service but a basic hospitality etiquette is lacking in this sanctuary. Restaurant seems dead with no music at all; Instead treating us with kitchen staffs random loud discussion that was so loud that we had to tell the server to stop them. We do not want a discotheque but a light music wouldn't hurt anyone's ear 4. Dinner is fine but the way they serve it , wow it's a Big NO. The management should provide a proper training to it's staff as guests are paying almost $80 a night and being provided the same service one would expect in a highway near motel. 5. The only thing good about this place was its pool where we spent most of our time. Also the room is clean, spacious and cozy. We did canoeing which was beautiful followed by sunset. Expect for these the whole experience was a disaster. Sarang Wildlife would not be our preference next time unless the management provide the basic hospitality trainings to its operational staffs. 6. When we thought what could go wrong they presented wrong bill and tried to cheat us. First they added 10% service charge but we were told that only 13% VAT was applicable. Then they charged us for all our dinners but we were on MAP plan (dinner was already included). This was the limit 👎 and No MANAGER will be on site you assist you even if you ask for one an hour or 2 early.

I had a great time here, it was a lovely resort right in the middle of the jungle. Rooms were spacious and had a large balcony where I could listen to jungle sounds in the mornings. I did a fantastic jungle walk and saw lots of rhinos!! In the afternoon I relaxed and cooled down in the pool (with a swim up bar!)

Highly recommended - would like to visit this place again. environment was very good Specially, Jeep Safari with Ram Dai was really memorable enjoyed alot during our jungle safari. Thankyou so much...

This is tricky ….. I imagined this would be like places I’ve stayed in Thailand or Kenya. It wasn’t up to those standards. They have a lovely pool area, the rooms were basic but clean - however they weren’t cleaned each day, no water replaced or clean towels given. There’s nowhere else to go so you have to use the restaurant - where I’m afraid the food was not great. What was great however were the beautiful staff, and our lovely guide who took us out on trips to the villages and to see the sunset on the river. We booked 4 nights but only stayed 3 in the end, returning to KND early. It was very quiet with only 3 other guests .

We had a fantastic 3 days at Sarang Wildlife Sanctuary. We saw rhino, elephant. monkeys and tiger paw prints! We also enjoyed the cultural evening dancing. The staff could not have been more helpful especially Ram, our wildlife expert. The accommodation was comfortable and the food excellent. I would thoroughly recommend them.

Amazing place to have with family this hotel have on jungle you can see anemail from your room and lots of birds the swming pool was wonderful with big stones in side the pool bar just was wow and staff they are from local varey good food was delicious

Mine was a love at first sight as soon as I entered the Sarang resort. It is subdued, quiet, aesthetically curated and drew me in, seamlessly into its own little forest that has some plants I had only seen in pictures and had craved to see for real. The food is very good- again, subdued and pleasing to the palate. The people here are helpful, caring and are into strongly conserving nature. A very big plus, this. My shout out to Mr Dil Bahadur Chhetri and Mr Ram pd. Kumal and the entire resort for their gracious hospitality. We left with very fond memories and a resolution to return one day.

What an amazing stay, felt like we were staying in the middle of the jungle the accommodation were amazing due to luscious green surrounding around the cottage, the options on the food with the variety they had was delicious to every point, great hospitality, best part is the pool we can chill around the pool with the bar and enjoy the day. The package they provide we did boating and the sunset view was breathtaking, one of the best sunrise I ever saw. Price was on point compared to other locations as compared.
