we only stayed one night on our way back to Christchurch, but could easily have stayed longer if our schedule had allowed. Delightful motel, spacious comfortable rooms with all amenities. Parking right outside the door. Hosts were welcoming and very helpful regarding directions etc. Short walk into town for eateries. Highly recommend

Great motels, clean, warm, quiet, friendly & knowledgeable hosts. Everything you’d need and more. Comfy bed, great shower complete with hair & body washes. The plunger coffee is fantastic too, great kick start to the morning. We’ll be back!

Great hosts! Large room, great heaters in the bathroom, spa tub, king bed, comfy bed linens, everything you need for a couple of nights. They also have larger units for families. Well located…we walked down the street for dinner. A very clean property.

The bed was heaven. The shower was so good I had to tear myself away and the unit was very warm and had everything one needed. The Chocolate on the bed was a nice touch. The location is excellent. Thanks for a great stay.

We hired a std family room and it was just perfect. 4 adults and 2 littlies, we just wanted a place to land together after gathering (from out of town) for a family bereavement. The unit was spacious with great kitchen facilities, full fridge, great bathroom and lots of lovely comfy beds! Super clean and well presented, just what we were after. A short walk to Opuke Thermal pools, and the delightful Enchanted Forest Walk and just far enough away from the bustle of the main street. Warren and Leslie were such friendly, accomodating hosts, very helpful and willing to chat about local entities. We were unable to find a cottage on other sites without a 'minimum nights stay' and so this was the perfect and very welcome option for us. We only had one night to enjoy away - glad we chose Methven!

Amazing motel in a lovely town with the most friendly welcoming hosts! Excellent well appointed rooms extremely comfortable and has everything you could possibly need. Warren and Lesley have done this place proud! This should be your first choice for a stay in Methven!

A great place to stay in Methven, spacious, clean, tidy and modern. A very handy location to town center with easy access. A very reasonable surcharge for the quality you receive. Definitely staying here again, Thank you.

We have just returned home from a wonderful short break at the Methven Motels and Apar**ents. Just simply a wonderful place to stay. Our unit was just one room with a king size bed and also a single bed but we still had 2 comfy chairs , a dining table and chairs a kitchen complete with a microwave and gas hobs and everything one needed. It did not feel at all cramped even though we had our little old dog with us with her cage. The unit had wonderful tinted windows that gave us complete privacy. The bath had a shower over it and the bathroom was very spacious. The whole place was clean and comfortable. The owners could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend this as a place to stay.

It’s the little things I notice and appreciate…thick quality toilet paper, nice hand wash, good shower strength, coffee and a plunger, a coffee mug, a recycle bin, and it’s very quiet. It’s not super flash but it’s clean, comfortable, and an easy stroll down to the blue pub for dinner. Great to get a king sized bed. Good value for money. We’d stay here again.
