Telunas Private Island

Je voulais passer des vacances reposantes mais j'ai fini par être plus stressé. J'ai réservé un séjour premium à la Ridge Villa mais j'ai reçu un service décevant. La porte menant à la chambre ne fonctionnait pas de l'intérieur. Heureu*****t, ma femme était dehors et pouvait donc ouvrir la porte de l'extérieur. Il n'y a pas de sortie de secours, donc si nous étions tous les deux à l'intérieur, ce serait un sérieux problème de sécurité car il n'y avait aucun moyen de communiquer avec le personnel de l'hôtel. Le dernier jour, l'approvisionnement en eau a été coupé. Encore une fois, aucun personnel pour nous aider jusqu'à plus tard, nous avons réussi à arrêter l'un des membres du personnel qui passait devant notre villa pour obtenir de l'aide. Même après la réparation, de l’eau rougeâtre s’écoulait des canalisations ! Attention, ce complexe ne dispose pas de service WiFi (chose philosophique). Les signaux de données sont médiocres, comme en témoignent les longs temps d'attente lorsque vous effectuez votre paiement par carte de crédit ! La piscine dans la chambre est difficile d'entrer ou de sortir. Pas de marches, juste une marche jusqu'à la longueur des jambes. La seule bonne chose à propos de cet endroit est la nourriture - l'équipe de cuisine met tout en œuvre pour rendre votre expérience culinaire merveilleuse. Je ne reviendrai probablement pas.

À seulement quelques heures de Singapour, Telunas est devenue l’une de nos destinations familiales préférées. Chaque fois que nous y allons, nous trouvons une nouvelle chose à aimer. Cette fois, nos enfants sautaient de la jetée au coucher du soleil et ont dû être emmenés pour notre dîner. Ce qui se démarque chez Telunas, ce sont les gens qui y travaillent. Tous si gentils et prêts à faire de votre séjour exactement ce que vous souhaitez.

Nous (couple, enfant de 11 ans) sommes d'abord allés à Singapour en février 2023 et avons ensuite passé trois nuits sur l'île privée. Le premier jour, nous avions l'île complètement (!) pour nous seuls, après quoi de plus en plus de clients arrivaient chaque jour. L'utilisation sera probablement particulièrement élevée le week-end, mais plutôt faible en début de semaine. Tout cela était un rêve. La nourriture était bonne et copieuse. Si notre fils n'aimait pas ça, on lui proposait autre chose. En général, tout le monde était courtois et serviable. Nous avons nagé dans la mer et dans la piscine (les deux avec une température de l'eau d'environ 27 degrés), avons sauté de la jetée, fait du kayak et avons marché autour de l'île. J'ai trouvé libérateur qu'il n'y ait pas d'internet ni de réception de téléphone portable (si nécessaire, vous pouvez vous adresser au concierge). Parfois, nous passions simplement la nuit sur la terrasse, tout simplement parce qu'il faisait très beau et chaleureux. Une recommandation partout. En fait, je ne vois aucune critique, c'est un paradis !

The staffs on Telunas are an asset to the company. We had a good time interacting and experiencing the warm hospitality at Telunas. Special shout out to 'Abby' - our guide from Batam to Telunas, Ella, Mini, the activities staff (Forgot his name - he used to be in security) and Vince (The guitar player at Bon Fire). I also mentioned to staff. It will be good to have movie nights with inflatable screen by the pool. Serve some popcorns, snacks (Banana chips) and give some options of beverages (Wine, beer etc) an opportunity to generate more revenue :) Also, maybe a tour of some turtles hatching areas etc. and some information about the foundation.

We had a wonderful stay at Telunas private island with a group of friends and our kids! The place is absolutely gorgeous with luxurious overwater villas, crystal blue water and beautiful vegetation. The staff was lovely and very helpful. The kids club organized many cool indoor and outdoor activities that kept the kids busy and happy while not at the beach or pool with us. Even though they say that the club closes at 5pm, they also organized stuff at 7.30pm every evening to make sure that parents could enjoy a longer dinner. Food was nice, and they accommodated our vegan friends really well. We also enjoyed the beautiful hikes and water activities (paddle, kayak, etc). What i will remember the most: a paradise place and the nicest staff!

We are lucky enough to have visited Las Telunas 3 times since my youngest was 18 months! This time, he turned 6 while we were there and was treated to a lovely birthday cake and singing from all the staff! My daughter is 8.5, and both kids love it just as much as ever! Line fishing off the pier was their favourite activity that kept them happy for hours, followed closely by making pottery at the Beach Resort across the water. The cabins over the water, the view over to neighbouring islands, watching the sunrise from your balcony, having a massage above the water with the sound of gently lapping waves beneath you - all pure heaven. Plenty of activities to keep everyone occupied, great food with flexibility to cater to vegetarian diets and a kids club that the children adore attending. Above all and without any doubt, it’s always the staff who absolutely make the experience at Las Telunas what it is!! My son sobbed saying goodbye to them- he didn’t want to leave! Everyone was wonderful, with special shout-outs to Dwi who kept our kids captivated with his magic tricks during meal times and Della who was pure magic with the kids at kids club. Thank you to all the rest of the staff - both behind the scenes and front of house - who make this the little slice of heaven that it is on every trip we make there. A side note for families with younger children- beds on the ground floor of the cabin can be arranged as an alternative to those upstairs. Mozzie nets are also available if you’re particularly delicious to them ;). And the balconies are surrounded by a fence, so there’s no risk of falling into the water. The steps up to the top floor are steep, but we reinforced the need to come down backwards and our kids managed to navigate them without a problem even to make toilet trips in the middle of the night. Two little pieces of constructive feedback for the restaurant staff: after a big (delicious!) meal, the last thing we wanted to think about was eating again, but current practice is to ask what you want to eat for your next meal just as you finish the current one! Also, although we explained I was pescatarian and my husband vegetarian, meat options kept being proposed to us 😅. Perhaps these two issues could be worked around by discussing with guests at the outset of their stay their allergies and preferences (maybe with a tick box form indicating which meals they like and dislike), so they can simply be informed at the start of a meal what will be served? Thank you for showing flexibility to our children, whose tastes are quite fickle and who would only be able to decide on some days what they wanted to eat shortly before the meal time.

We had an amazing time at Telunas. The villas are exactly what you would want - charming, super private and lovely. The beach is nice and the pool is fantastic. Plenty of lounge chairs and places to be in the shade as well. Lots of activities are available (kayaks, SUP, etc etc). The food was delicious, authentic and flavorful. If all that wasn't enough you will fall in love with the staff. Everyone is friendly and ready to do whatever is needed to make your stay perfect. Make sure to say hello to Mini in the dining room and Bob (Chinhan) will make you a perfect cocktail.

Each visit serves as a poignant reminder of why I find myself returning time and time again. This sanctuary allows one to fully unwind and embrace relaxation without the intrusion of distractions. And oh, let's delve into the culinary delights! Hunger is never a concern here. Despite dietary restrictions within our group, the staff proved remarkably accommodating, crafting dishes that were both delectable and tailored to our needs. Anticipation builds for our next excursion; I simply cannot wait.

Just returned from an AWESOME 4D/3N stay at Telunas Private island. View from the room was great, vibes were super chill and the service was outstanding. The team at Telunas esp Bob (must try his cocktails) and Aldo (must check out his crafts and guitar/singing) made our trip extra special. The over-water massage is also a MUST DO! Will be back!
