The Inn at Gristmill Square

Overall a very good experience. We had a nicely appointed and spacious room. Dinner at the in-house restaurant was outstanding. Plus that must have one of the coziest (and smallest) bars in Virginia. While not cheap, it was worth every dollar. Small negatives: remote location (lost of backcountry roads) and $50 pet fee (not clear what it covers).

This is our favorite little weekend getaway.Its a hidden gem. We have been visiting The Gris**ill every year for the past few years . The Waterwheel restaurant is fantastic for a romantic dinner. We cant wait for our next visit!

Super cute inn. We stayed two nights while attending a wedding nearby. The room was nice with all it's quirks from being a historic property. We were very comfortable. Everyone was nice. We appreciated the morning breakfast delivery to our room. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

In a nutshell, I loved everything about the place. The rooms in separate buildings were unique. It was clean. The service was great, and everyone that worked there was so nice. The bar was so cute. It definitely had the best 4 barstools in Virginia. We had an excellent dinner from start to finish. In the morning breakfast was delivered in a cute picnic basket. I would highly recommend the Inn at Gris**ill Square.

The Inn at Gritsmill Square is a treasure! Best staff ever with a delicious breakfast hand delivered to your door. Lovely place with lovely people!!! It is historic and peaceful. The owners are very well seasoned in the hospitality industry and have taken big resort details to a different level. Give it a try and you keep coming back!

Waterwheel Restaurant was lovely with great food, and rooms authentic and peaceful. Also a refreshing lovely pool. Great locale near Warm Springs’ historic baths, and Dan Ingalls Overlook. Stay here for good value vs. overpriced Homestead

My wife and I along with two other couples ate dinner here while visiting The Homestead. We had eaten here before but it had been a number of years before. I had duck and my wife had trout. Both were very good. We also went to their cellar to select wines. There were a number of very pricey bottles but also some more modestly priced. Our server was very good. We will go back again in the future.

We stayed at the Inn at Gris**ill in Warm Springs, in the Wheat Room. It was very comfortable, though needing a bit of paint on the outside. Warm Springs is a charming, quiet getaway, but be prepared for a lot of right-wing gun nut politics.

Two friends and I traveled to the Inn at Gris**ill Square for a girl's getaway weekend. We stayed in two rooms - the Oat Suite and the Rye Suite. Check-in was a breeze, but just note that the office is not located in the same building as where you will likely be staying. We had to drive to a different parking lot beside the Post Office to park our vehicle. Both suites were spacious and comfortable. Our friend did have some trouble cooling the room down (Rye Suite on the 2nd floor) as the remote for the wall AC unit didn't seem to be working. We all slept great in the king size beds and there were a few options for pillow fluffiness available! It was simple to call and request breakfast when we woke up, and the basket that was delivered promptly was so cute. We were each served coffee, OJ, a slice of egg/spinach omelet (?), banana nut muffins and individual jars of fruit - yum! We all said that we hope to be back to this cute Inn in the future. It is the perfect location if you're going to the area to enjoy a soak in the recently renovated Jefferson Pools (~1 mile away) and/or visit the Homestead without having to pay Homestead accommodation prices. We did not get to enjoy the Waterwheel this visit. I will say, we attempted to get a drink at the bar Saturday evening. The tiny bar area was very crowded (the group at the bar told us they were getting ready to leave...but unfortunately didn't during our time there), and after our group of 3 waited beside a single empty seat for about 10 min with no acknowledgement from the bartender, we decided to leave.
