A Truly Exceptional Stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Kyoto Our family had a wonderful experience at The Ritz-Carlton Kyoto, and we left with nothing but gratitude and happy memories. From the moment we arrived, the service was flawless and heartfelt — the kind of genuine hospitality that makes a trip feel truly special. A huge thank you to Cecilia and Vinnie from the Guest Experience team, who went above and beyond to make our stay seamless and comfortable. Their warmth, attentiveness, and thoughtful gestures made us feel incredibly welcomed. A very special shout-out to Cecilia, who noticed my daughter’s love for Winnie the Pooh after our visit to Disneyland Resort. She prepared a beautiful card, a sweet message, and even a handmade Pooh origami and placed it in our room. It absolutely made our daughter’s day — such a thoughtful touch we will never forget. We also want to commend Yuki from the restaurant team for his warm and wonderful breakfast service each morning. His kindness and attention to detail set the perfect tone to start our day. The Ritz Kids adventure passport was a delightful surprise — engaging not only for our daughter but also enjoyable for us as parents. And of course, we loved the festive Christmas atmosphere, especially the beautiful Christmas tree and the amazing gingerbread house with the incredible aroma that filled the lobby. The Ritz-Carlton Kyoto truly exceeded our expectations in every way. We felt cared for, welcomed, and genuinely appreciated. We can’t wait to return again. Highly recommended for families and anyone seeking an unforgettable Kyoto stay.

We took a taxi to this location because it was a little too far by bus, and we had all of our luggage with us. The location is beautiful. If you're only staying for one night like we did, then you should check in at the earliest (3:00 pm) so you can explore the local area. There are some really nice shrines nearby. We were only able to do this after breakfast the next morning. We also had to be out by 10:00 am, which surprised us because it was listed as 11:00 am on Trip.com. You will be served traditional Japanese cuisine for dinner and breakfast. They do an excellent job of presenting all of the dishes, and the service is also incredible. But if you're not used to eating raw fish, or traditional Japanese cuisine in general, you should definitely bring your own snacks to eat in your room! We stayed in the Garden view room with tatami mats. The staff will actually rearrange the room for you during dinner and set up your beds if you select this room. That was a very nice touch, so make sure you don't leave your room a total mess before dinner! I have added a picture of the beds after they were set up. The garden view was well worth the money we spent for it. Very relaxing and beautiful. And surprisingly enough...the tatami beds were super comfortable and warm!

My stay at The Hotel Seiryu Kyoto exceeded expectations – the service and location are worth every penny. Staff were incredibly friendly and professional. They knew my name before I reached the front desk, helped with luggage instantly, and greeted me personally every time I entered/left. Truly thoughtful! Perfect Lounge: Loved the lounge! By day: Excellent Japanese teas (try the ice hojicha with milk!), delicious pastries, and stunning views – ideal for escaping the heat. By night: Free quality cocktails and tasty snacks (salmon/shrimp) in a peaceful, spacious setting. Great Amenities: Rooftop Bar: Breathtaking views with a relaxed vibe. Gym: Modern & well-equipped (even has a rowing machine!). Garden: Beautifully serene – made me want to linger. Unbeatable Location: -3-minute walk to Kiyomizu-dera & Sannenzaka (go at 6:30 AM for crowd-free magic!). - 3 bus stops to Kamogawa River & shopping districts. Delicious Breakfast: Lots of options – the Japanese style bento is a must-try! Fresh, flavorful, and generous with fruits/veggies. Will 100% return. Perfect for a relaxed, luxurious Kyoto getaway!

L'hôtel est bien situé, le grand magasin Takashiyama se trouve juste en face. C'est un petit hôtel, difficile à trouver. Dans le hall du rez-de-chaussée, une simple vérification des documents est effectuée. Ensuite, un membre du personnel nous conduit à la réception du 9e étage pour l'enregistrement. On nous offre une tasse de thé et des friandises en attendant. Après l'enregistrement, un autre membre du personnel nous accompagne pour une visite de l'hôtel et de notre chambre. La chambre est spacieuse avec onsen privé. Bien que la vue sur la ville soit moyenne, son principal atout est son onsen en plein air. Cet onsen privé est excellent et très confortable. Le réfrigérateur de notre chambre propose de nombreuses boissons gratuites, dont du vin et de la bière. Étonnamment, nous avons pu admirer le lever du soleil depuis notre chambre. Le petit-déjeuner japonais est délicat et bon. Tout est bon, sauf le matelas, trop mou pour nous. La réception du 9e étage offre une belle vue. Deux sources chaudes publiques se trouvent à cet étage. On y sert du café, des boissons et des glaces gratuits. Il est surprenant qu’à côté de l’entrée principale de l’hôtel, il y ait une porte latérale secrète, pas besoin de passer par le comptoir du hall, comme une entrée privée avec un sentiment de privilège.

Stayed at The GrandWest Arashiyama and had a pleasant experience. The room is spacious and looks exactly like the photos on Trip and Google. The building feels more like a small apartment house, giving it a homely vibe. Towels are changed daily — they are on the thinner side but still usable. There is **no elevator**, and the staircase is quite narrow. We were lucky to have only one medium and one small luggage, and we sent our big suitcases to the next hotel. If not, carrying them up to level 3 would have been tough. There is a laundry room available from 9am to 9pm. If you return after 10pm, you can enter the building with your room key. Sometimes the hotel offers a morning tour (1,200 yen per person), where their staff brings you around nearby spots. It’s a 40-minute tour (7:00–7:40am or 8:00–8:40am), but not always available. I didn’t join due to a tight itinerary. The location is convenient — just a few minutes’ walk to Lawson, Mini Stop, and Hankyu station. It’s in a quiet residential area, so nights are peaceful. Beds are comfortable, and the bathroom layout is practical, with the toilet and shower separated by the basin area. Overall, a nice and comfortable place to stay in Arashiyama.

The walk to the hotel is inconvenient if we have big luggages. The hotel room is old but we love the room space. With 3 beds, we have plenty of walking space. We enjoyed the spacious bathroom. The hotel staffs should proactively ask if we are member of its hotel group. We bought souvenirs and forgot to show our member to get a discount.

La chambre classique est une des meilleures hôtels que nous avons séjournés pendant notre voyage. Vous êtes accueillis par le personnel de l'hôtel dès votre entrée. Vous quittez vos sacs avec eux et vous marchez vers une zone de réception séparée où vous êtes assise et offert de thé et de macaroni. La chambre est très confortable et vous avez une chambre très confortable. La chambre est assez grande et offre un cabinet de snacks Fauchon. Nous avons une bonne vue sur la rue derrière l'hôtel qui était en ligne avec les arbres de Sakura. Nous avons également pu voir les montagnes à distance. L'hôtel est également très situé à environ 5-10 minutes de marche du centre-ville de Kyoto et à environ 5 minutes de marche de la station Kiyomizu-gojo. Nous avons également eu le petit déjeuner qui incluait une sélection de pain et de pâtes gratuites comme croissant français, baguette et brioche. Si vous séjournez pendant plus d'une nuit, vous aurez également un menu de petit déjeuner premium pour votre 2e nuit. Nous reviendrons certainement à cet hôtel la prochaine fois que nous sommes à Kyoto.

Tout était superbe à l'exception, pour un hôtel d'un onsen qui a un des points de vente, dans la salle de bain d'un onsen, l'eau était juste régulière eau chaude, pourquoi je devrais rester à un hôtel d'un onsen avec dans la salle de bain d'un onsen si tout baignoire avec eau chaude Le site Trip.com n'a pas précisé qu'il n'était pas de l'eau chaude de printemps. Mais, heureusement, il y avait une meilleure chambre avec de l'eau chaude de printemps réelle fournie à la chambre disponible pour la mise à niveau, donc j'ai passé le supplément pour rendre mon séjour absolument parfaitement mémorable.

位置就在二條城對面，走路即到，很方便。京都不大，很悠閑，酒店去景點總的來説不錯。前台、大堂經理水平都不錯，英語都很在線，很國際化，尤其僱有歐美小哥，交流很暢通。房間各項設施也不錯，早餐也是棒棒的，尤其是鮮榨橙汁那個機器挺有趣。

Нам очень понравился отель! Проживали с 31 августа по 7 сентября 2025 года. Просторные номера, мы были в номере с телевизорами, но я из коридора видела и другие номера 😁 Если берете рандомный номер, можете не бояться, они все хорошие, на сайте фото не все, есть интересные очень. Отель модный, молодежный, дали и утюг и доп. уход - мочалки, крема, бритвы, щетки, расческу и тд. Просторная ванная комната в сердечке навсегда, туалет хороший, убирались через день, чисто, вкусный чай в номере. Кондей работал грамотно, включили завтраки, их удобно заказывать заранее через гугл-форму, было вкусно, особенно авокадо тосты. К завтракам еще бесплатно напитки на выбор, КОФЕ ШИКАРНЫЙ, очень вкусный из профессиональной эспрессо-машины. Шикарный вид на город 🤩 много приятных мелочей в отеле, всякие плюшки для посетителей. И замечательное месторасположение. Вежливый и отзывчивый персонал, оперативно на все реагируют, посоветовали место с очень вкусной картошкой. Иногда проводятся диджей сеты. В общем 10/10, советую этот отель. Спасибо.
