Travelodge Newbury Tot Hill

Value was definitely a lot more than paid for. The reception was great. However, the room was cold and the heating would not heat up for long.

Met at reception by Lisa, who couldn’t have been more helpful. There were quite a few people in reception looking lost. Lisa calmly felt with each enquiry with a polite and courteous manner. I had notice that one gentleman was getting rather frustrated and was giving Lisa a hard time. She felt with this gentleman in a very professional manner and certainly calmed the situation. My turn came to be booked in and it was apologies all round. I don’t normally leave reviews but she was on her own and I must say is an absolute credit to Travelodge tort hill.

Adeel, the receptionist, provided exceptional assistance during my stay. Despite the basic amenities (what you'd expect from a Travelodge), Adeel's helpfulness stood out. When I mentioned my dietary needs, he recommended a nearby restaurant that suited me perfectly. Adeel's attentive service made a positive difference. His friendly and accommodating attitude enhanced my experience. Adeel's professionalism and helpfulness are commendable, and he is a valuable asset to the hotel's customer service team. I'm grateful for his efforts in ensuring a pleasant stay.

We needed to stay near Winchester for two nights, with easy access to the North side of the city. Tot Hill Travelodge was ideally situated, easy to access off the A34 and just 20 minutes from our destination. The staff seemed to genuinely care that our stay was as pleasant as it could be and offered help with luggage. The building was clean throughout, but there are clues that it is not new in the older style of plumbing and electrical fittings, but everything was fully functional

Suited trip with location just off A34 etc , price good, made an early start. Fuel station opposite, a Starbucks next door useful, and a MCDonalds for those who partake. Would have preferred a pub myself

It was one of the best hotels in the town charming so close to the main road but still very quiet. Somewhere to eat two minutes walk away. It is a very clean and luxurious bath. Adeel and his team were really helpful and caring i think the second name was Ethan The bed was comfy and wifi was good, We Only had one night but would have happily stayed longer if we could

My stay was excellent value for money, even when compared to more expensive hotels - I think I got more for my money here than anywhere else I've stayed. The room was bright, airy and spacious; the towels were fresh and soft; and the bathroom was clean and modern. Lizzy on reception was friendly and personable. She had a wonderfully positive, can-do attitude, and her manager was also kind and professional. When asked a question that she wasn't sure about, Lizzy explained that she was still learning the reception job but that "everything is a training opportunity!" and efficiently got her manager to help. Lizzy took initiative when selecting my room, choosing a room that was furthest from the road so that I'd have a quiet stay, and I really appreciated this thoughtfulness. I had a very restful stay and wasn't disturbed at all by noise even with the window cracked open. I pre-ordered a breakfast box and this was good value, tasty, and really convenient as I chose to collect it at check in for an easy morning. I also pre-paid for WiFi which Lizzie explained how to redeem the code and offered to help me set it up. The connection faired well and handled a long video meeting with minimal disruption. I enjoyed the convenient location with plentiful free parking, as well as being next to a Starbucks and across the carpark from a McDonald's. I have a other stay booked on my return journey, and would book without hesitation if ever I am in the area again. Thank you for a really great stay!

Arrived at 3pm yesterday. Were greeted by a very friendly, helpful and cheerful lady. Sorry didn't get her name. She was very accommodating, it wasn't any trouble to give us an upstairs room. It was lovely chatting to her. We had a room overlooking the woods, so quiet, room looked like it has been refurbished. Very clean. Great stopover if you want a good night's sleep. Will definitely stay again. Well done Travelodge.
