Now let's be clear, this is a budget hotel. Some of the reviews are bizarre. Be clear, most budget hotels now have families living there. It smelt of curry? Do what I do, be friendly to people then get invited to share the curry - delicious! This is a great little hotel and the staff and owner go out of their way to help. Bilal, George & all the cleaners are lovely people - nothing is too much trouble Obliviously I haven't stayed in every room but the ones I have are spacious, modern and very clean. Nice garden and balcony too Just to clarify though, they no longer do breakfast, and parking isn't great (but park outside, unload then park 5 minutes away) I would highly recommend. Perfect for visits to the cricket ground (5 minute walk) and a ten minute walk from town. Lots of pubs, restaurants, shops and takeaways very close too

We have just stayed at your B&B this weekend checked in on the 5th, checked out today the 7th January. Before booking I looked at pictures of the property and rooms, they looked nice, this is the reason why I picked it, but to my surprise the pictures online did not look like the room we had??? The blinds were falling apart, there was a mountain of cigarette butt's outside the window, the window locks were not attached so you could open them as wide as you wanted H&S issue. The lights in the main room only one worked with no shade and the other had stains all over the shade? We only had 2 towels for 3 people and when I asked for another I was given a stained one. Half a toilet roll. No hanging space. The shower was cold even if fully turned to the hot setting. Under the sink all the electrics were showing for heat pump for the hot water H&S issue. No fire information anywhere in the room or hallway (incase of fire). Did not know where the fire assembly point was?? Blood in the shower room. I did speak to the young lad on receipt on arrival about parking and all questions I ask he just said "I don't know" . So with regards to talking to him about the room in my opinion was a pointless exercise. I did ask who was the owner or if he had a contact email or number, he told me he had no cards and there were numbers on the door. Very poor general decoration all round. Think someone needs to do a risk assessment?

Advertisement said bed and breakfast. No longer a bed and breakfast … only a bed. Such a shame Room was clean and bed comfortable. Room was at the front a bit noisy from the road Noisy from the room above, very heavy footsteps

Not recommend this place to anyone. Smell in the room as someone was cooking curry or something similar, spider nets on lamp shades, and above curtains, shower is horrible you can burn your self or get freezing cold, it's only two options, and the last is mattress, it's horrible. It's old smelly and you can feel all the sprungs in your body. Had booking for 2 nights, but stay just one as after the first one wake up as with broken bones..

The linen seems clean but cobwebs all over the ceiling and kick boards disgusting. Sink and shower pretty dirty. Can only get limited hot water early in Morning freezing in the evening. It was a convenient location so took a chance but won’t be back.

Do not go here. First and last time. It seemed like a half way house/bail hostel. Cheap furniture that was broken or had torn fabric. Only one socket so had to plug kettle in placed on the floor. Quite disgraceful. Manager very rude. They had a plumbing/drain issue which we we informed of by the manager who appologised and was initially pleasant. He asked if we could delay our arrival then asked if he could find us another hotel. We said yes to both requests then he took an online deposit off me then rang again to say problem was sorted but was giving us a different room!! Our bathroom stank..it was too late to change hotels late in the evening so we used the bathroom as little as possible. I spoke to the manager on the phone the next morning to say there was still a plumbing/drain issue and asked for some money back as we had not been able to use the shower and were holding our breath to enter the bathroom. Manager rudely interupted me and shouted over me. He said he would come and check the bathroom. We waited and waited..he did not turn up or ring or refund any money. Unprofessional, rude man. Do not stay here. I should have read the reviews before i booked..silly me. This place is like a DSS doss house.

Booked this for my son and daughter in law for 2nd July one night as they were going to Silverstone. Price was hiked to £350 per night . Very much over rated. Reception not manned all the time, having a shower was impossible as only half a dozen nozzles were working on shower head. At the inflated price this was unacceptable. Spoke to *********** but no help or refund offered. Would not recommend.

Stayed one night for a family meal locally. Check in went well, that is the one positive. I understand it is a budget b&b and expected no frills. However, what we experienced was nothing short of a nightmare. The room stunk of stale cigarette smoke, cigarette burns on the furniture, hair in the bathroom sink, one purple stained towel left on the bed for us, marks on the bedding, no TV remote. All things you can change with a little respect for guests staying. No windows that opened in the room other than a sky light we could not open. At 1am this morning we were woken by screaming, shouting, fighting, doors being kicked in, crying and language to turn the air blue. This continued so we called the reception number given. A very helpful lady answered immediately to advise No one was on site but they had received other complaints and would be there in 30 minutes. Eventually it died down but sounded like someone was trashing a room next to us. Early this morning, after no sleep and not knowing what we would walk out of the room to, I gave my key back to the owner who said it was 'unfortunate' and they knew exactly what had happened but refused a refund as 'we had stayed the full night' 'they don't give refunds'. I say this so you know what to expect when staying, should you choose to. This is the worst place I have ever had the misfortune to stay in, and it won't happen again.
